Dang hope it's not because of the update an mine do, got a kid almost at teen stage an want to try out the new high school pack with themI've just logged on and the game has automatically aged up all my sims as soon as it loaded!!!

I've just been playing and one of my favourite sims was aged up to become an elder

I believe the aging up is a bug. I saw on Twitter one of the devs saying they are looking into it.
I turned off the aging up so none of my sims age. Everyone is young forever 
My friend sent me a screen shot of his sim having a want to date his sister. The incest bug is back I see!

Haha classic. Were the kids orphaned? I forget what happens then does it just end the game?
The only non old age death I’ve had is drowning because the silly buggers go swimming when too tired. It’s happened twice, once was the mum of my 100 baby challenge.
I’ve had a death where the father did a polar bear challenge and got too cold.
Another Sim died of starvation in the middle of the restaurant.
I had Neighbourhood stories on for a while and lost two Sims that I didn’t play with as it was announced they died of electrocution.
One of my Sims kept phoning the Sim I was playing to ask if she should try for a baby.

I'm gutted, following my aging up last night, I continued to finish renovating the world's, no game play. Went back on to my main family who I love and they had all skipped 2 ages, my teen was now an adult, toddler was now a teen etc and my main who I adored was dead!! All of my townies who was new and freshly placed and never played were all elderly too even though they were young adults. I'm fuming!!!

The lack of random deaths in households you’re playing is part of what makes Sims 4 dull after a while… the only things I’ve had kill my sims apart from old age is if I send them out jogging in the heat and one who died of being hysterical. I miss when they used to get hit by meteors (although I think that has come back with the telescope?) and electrocuted by trying to fix electronics.
I’ve had multiple townies drown in my family’s pool because they just keep swimming until they snuff it

that spiced up my game for sure!
I've had a couple of sims die from jumping in their koi ponds to 'play'.
Are you all using mods? I would love there to be more death and chaos in my game but it doesn’t happen.
A few, I have lost track tbh! I didn't even consider it could have been a mod that caused them to die in that way. I remember being devastated and ended up not saving the game so I could 'resurrect' her hahaha
The Sims 3 was a lot better in the sense that anything could happen. Burglars, random deaths, pregnancy etc. The Sims 4 lacks these
