This is Nala she is 5/6 months old, she is a devil! Very obsessed with food and wants to eat everything! She isn’t allowed in the kitchen and we shut her out the room when we are eating. We’ve only had her 4 weeks so she is still learning.
Our last cat who we lost 3 yesrs ago was the complete opposite lol

If you can I would ask them if they can do it on her side rather than her stomach (not all vets can though), my cat who had the latter had a much quicker recovery time.
Also, if she does get it done on her stomach, make sure you get a quite low sided litter tray (if she uses it) while she recovers, my cat who had this started weeing etc in places other than the tray, qhich she had never done before and we realised it was because the littery tray was quite high and her stomach kind of dragged across it which must have been painful.
But don't worry vets do these operations millions of times a year she will be fine!
In exciting news I am potentially getting a new kitten today!

I think they will do it on the side, that's what they prefer I think.

This is our two year old bog standard black cat, she adores our dog they love eachother. She likes to socialise with the other cats in the area, not great at catching prey. We were told she was heavy so now on just one pouch a day & dry biscuits, we tried to get her on the raw food the dog has but she isn’t too sure. She’s such an easy cat.

The black & white one is 12 he stayed with my 90 yr old Nan when we moved & years ago & she never let us have him back, she lives for him.

I can finally join this thread! Brother and sister Thor and Athena joined us yesterday. At the moment they're hissing at each other for some reason.

I had sibling cats before and when they were anxious they sometimes hissed at each other. in exciting news my new kitten and other cat slept together last night I was worried about if they would get on butthey're fine
That's reassuring, thank you the seller said they were very playful together but so far they've avoided each other lol

it might take a while but they will be fine, cats are very fond of their own spaces and routine so changing homes can be difficult for them at first but don't worry!

Bob, not the smartest lad ever hence the GPS tracker but he’s been better than we expected since letting him out. He doesn’t go far. But better safe than sorry with our babies.
