I agree, it’s definitely COM-POT 😂

But in the same vein - Versace, Moschino, Marylebone…
My relatives live in Bordeaux and pronounce it compotte so I blame them if I’m wrong. I’ve always had it pronounced to me with an slight “e” on the end. Like a T with an emphasis.

That said, how is Marylebone being pronounced wrong?!

There are people who say Mary- le- bone? That’s a thing? Btw is it pronounced MarLEEbone or MarLAYbone. I say MarLEEbone.

Also regarding tinternet - I get the ick when people have weird words for tv remote. Just call it a remote? Not doofer/oofer doofer/clicker/zapper/*insert other words*

ETA: left out a word

Oh I believe you but I can’t work out where is the “mary” coming from?😂😂😂 also that’s so long winded. MarLEEbone flows off the tongue “maryleebone” doesn’t 😂

Accepted a friend request from a fairly attractive guy I loosely knew on facebook, only to see he posted constantly about his “fur baby” and long dedications to his dog who was his “best mate”.. instant ICK 🫠🤮

On a related note, years ago a friend got the ICK because he had food poisoning (dodgy chicken) and was laying on the floor saying he wanted his mummy in a baby voice 🤢 she broke up with him when he was well again. still makes me lol x

1 - mentioning their ex on a dating profile
2 - the RANDOM COMMA in the wrong place!!!!
3 - his name was Gary

It annoys me when people type and as they take a moment to think will add a comma! Grammar is not dictated by your inability to articulate or the fact that you have to stop and think about what you want to write next!

I always thought it was com-poat. But I'm not posh enough to have ever had to say it out loud 🤣

Men (I've only ever noticed Men do it) that only walk on the balls of their feet. Their heels don't touch the floor and they just bounce along 😭

Urgh I hate this! I went to school with a kid that walked like this and it still gives me the ick 30 years later

One of the biggest icks in life has to be men with a ‘nest’ (slightly balding on top). You sometimes get hatfished or they’re taller than you and you can’t see the tops of their heads. You only see it when it’s too late… normally in bed and you realise you can see skin through the hair 🤮🤮🤮

Poor guys, I know it’s bad being so put off by a nest but it just makes me think, ‘How bad will it be in 5 years’ time?!’ I couldn’t go into anything knowing they had one, but equally I don’t want to spot one when it’s too late. Maybe I could drop stuff on dates and get them to pick it up, could spot a potential nest better in that position?

The time this man and I were shopping and we went into JD sports to look at trainers, only he didn’t want to buy them then. He was going to order a fake copy from china and gave me a lesson in how they look exactly the same.
No they don’t. His trainers always looked flimsy.

Another ex that always had to shop at places like molton brown, the white company, fortnum and mason etc for basic gave me the ick. He once spent about 20 minutes picking a plain black umbrella from John Lewis And I questioned my sanity.

I went from a snob to a cheapskate 😂 There was loads of other icks but I’ve blocked them out.
