Okay this may get me some flack, and I would like to preface this by saying that this fellow I am about to talk about is one of my best friends in the world, and he's an amazing human being. And my mentioning his weight has nothing to do with bigger people in general, but him specifically. He's really quite a handsome guy, very thoughtful and lovely. Buuuuut. He's also my roommate so I am privy to some of the very VERY ick things he does. And also none of this is me being an "angry les" it's just a human being that cohabits with him/trying to put myself in some of his exs/potential partners shoes. As I said, good looking guy, wonderful, kind sweet. He's had some really pretty/smart/lovely girlfriends but none have really stuck around and I am here to tell you why.
I live with the biggest ICK every day.
He's a hefty fella, I'd say at least 40 ish pounds over weight (he's on a health journey right now, which I am very proud of him for but it's relevant to the story that he's not necessarily obese, just a bigger guy). Firstly, he snores like a hibernating bear and it is so loud I can hear him clear across the house. How any woman could sleep next to that noise is beyond me. As mentioned he's one of my best buds, so we've camped/gone on holiday together and I straight up have to sleep with earbuds in if my tent is near by or we split a hotel room.
Now, when he is awake, he makes these grunting/groaning/moaning sounds just walking around. Like... The other day he was just standing in the kitchen heating something up and let out this loud groan. It makes my skin crawl every single time. He has an inhaler for his asthma, but refuses to use it properly. So instead of closing his lips around it, he makes this weird aggressive inhale sound and wonders why it doesn't work.
Also our bathrooms share a wall, so if we are leaving for work/up around the same time I have to hear him grunting and snorting every morning while I'm trying to get ready/brush my teeth etc. There have been a few times I've been getting ready and listening to him next door have made me dry heave. He also walks around and rubs his belly like he's a pregnant woman. AND he wears flip flops year round (we live on the west coast of Canada, so in fairness there aren't too many non flip flop worthy days, but it's still so ick to me).
I LOVE our place together and my friend, but he always asks me why he can't find a lady and I just cannot bring myself to mention the ungodly sounds and general mannerisms.
