Just went on a other tinder date. The guy was eating a cookie and breaking it up into pieces. While he was eating the pieces he was sticking his index finger and his thumb fully into his mouth every time. Then he started doing the same thing with the crumbs. I’m going to be single forever 😂

I said a few pages back that men who make an Instagram account for their dog give me the Ick, well it was someone I know and he has uploaded a Facebook photo of him hugging it AND wearing a flat cap!!!! Double ick.

I hate men like this who have no sense of humour. There is absolutely nothing less appealing that a guy who takes himself too seriously and can't laugh at himself. Wit and a little self depreciation is hot.

I hate the selfies and the pose. It screams insecure loser. I hate the bleeping meaningless word salad he's spouting. And thinking he's doing us a favour by somehow educating the masses.
god this is gross. Watching it stressed me out enough that I got a ‘breathe’ notification on my Apple Watch

When men get their hair cut to last longer and not to look good because they can only bear parting with a tenner once every two months.

I slept with a guy who kept his socks on and then ‘finished’ all over me. He then took off one of his sweaty socks and gave it to me so I could clean up 😩😂🤢 If that was not traumatic enough, he spent the next hour playing me clips of him singing with his band off his phone.

I waited until he was asleep and then ran out of his house and took a train home in the middle of the night.

The bleeping audacity to give you one of his socks to wipe up with omg!! I would have taken that sock and shoved it down his throat! Poor you😂😭

I also don't like tall, gangly men. My friend openly admits she loves tall, gangly, toothy posh men.
Oh I can get quite fluttery over a posh man, like proper English royal type. Not necessarily the tall gangly aspect (although I did marry a tall gangly man but he's not posh 🤣) but something about the voice and the mannerisms are very appealing. Maybe it's cos I grew up in Glasgow and don't meet too many of that type so they seemed exotic if I did 🤣🤣

My cousin today told me she got the ick over a guy yesterday, she really likes him but the way he ordered a taxi gave her the ick and now it’s over 😅
Oh my, that just reminded me of an old boyfriend. We were in New York and he would literally scream "TAXI" to get one to stop. Apparently this was how he did it in London but I would cringe anytime he did it. He lasted longer than he should due to my aforementioned love of a posh boy 🤦‍♀️

Sameee. They also hit that sweet spot between being cultured, color coordinated, and straight 😜

So I have this language exchange partner that I kind of took a liking to, but he just used a slang/word in the total wrong way and thought it was fine and now I have gone off him. A months worth of crushing gone just like that.

Another language exchange partner I had was very understanding and I was surprised at how much we had in common even with the language barrier, but then he casually dropped in the convo that he, about 5 years ago, had " come out of an 8 year coma". No context or anything. Surely that can't be real. I mean, surely it happens but he wouldn't be traveling the world as he says he does and living a busy life if that had happened, right?

Then this same guy put me off of wanting to study with him because he started sending pictures of his apartment from every angle. What am I supposed to say about your laundry rack?

Maybe he meant it figuratively? Like he was sleep walking through his life and decided becoming a skydiving instructor was his thing? Or he was in a cult for a little? I wonder what’s the story 🤣

You’re reminding me of my own language partner. He was from China. It was before the internet and news became what it is today, so I had to take his word on everything … there was an enormous cultural barrier 😐 My mind was *boggled.* Their diet and education system was so foreign. He told me his girlfriend stopped wanting to see him so he made a thousand origami cranes for her. I thought it was excessive and creepy behavior so there was a slow fade (ghosting wasn’t invented yet!)
A few years later I learned that people make paper cranes in bulk in order to make wishes 🥺🥺🥺 He’s so cute lol. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to lean into the experience.

ETA: I absolutely signed up to the program in order to meet cute guys. He was not it, but it would be cool if I had a friend in China to visit. His hometown specialized in silk manufacturing. I still have the silk scarf he brought back for me after winter break…. The color scheme is yellow, orange, and green. If anyone knows that there is any special meaning behind this combination I am all ears 😂

Okay this may get me some flack, and I would like to preface this by saying that this fellow I am about to talk about is one of my best friends in the world, and he's an amazing human being. And my mentioning his weight has nothing to do with bigger people in general, but him specifically. He's really quite a handsome guy, very thoughtful and lovely. Buuuuut. He's also my roommate so I am privy to some of the very VERY ick things he does. And also none of this is me being an "angry les" it's just a human being that cohabits with him/trying to put myself in some of his exs/potential partners shoes. As I said, good looking guy, wonderful, kind sweet. He's had some really pretty/smart/lovely girlfriends but none have really stuck around and I am here to tell you why.

I live with the biggest ICK every day.

He's a hefty fella, I'd say at least 40 ish pounds over weight (he's on a health journey right now, which I am very proud of him for but it's relevant to the story that he's not necessarily obese, just a bigger guy). Firstly, he snores like a hibernating bear and it is so loud I can hear him clear across the house. How any woman could sleep next to that noise is beyond me. As mentioned he's one of my best buds, so we've camped/gone on holiday together and I straight up have to sleep with earbuds in if my tent is near by or we split a hotel room.

Now, when he is awake, he makes these grunting/groaning/moaning sounds just walking around. Like... The other day he was just standing in the kitchen heating something up and let out this loud groan. It makes my skin crawl every single time. He has an inhaler for his asthma, but refuses to use it properly. So instead of closing his lips around it, he makes this weird aggressive inhale sound and wonders why it doesn't work.

Also our bathrooms share a wall, so if we are leaving for work/up around the same time I have to hear him grunting and snorting every morning while I'm trying to get ready/brush my teeth etc. There have been a few times I've been getting ready and listening to him next door have made me dry heave. He also walks around and rubs his belly like he's a pregnant woman. AND he wears flip flops year round (we live on the west coast of Canada, so in fairness there aren't too many non flip flop worthy days, but it's still so ick to me).

I LOVE our place together and my friend, but he always asks me why he can't find a lady and I just cannot bring myself to mention the ungodly sounds and general mannerisms.

Bullet point 5 on his list makes me gag
