Mine has a washable cover.
Mine does too, it is filled with glass beads and then the cover is one side cotton and one side brushed polyester.

Once you get used to a weighted blanket is it then difficult to go away and not have it?
It's hard to find one that's actually cotton, Amazon sell one that keeps saying it's 100% cotton and people have posted the label that doesn't quite match the description

Mine has a cover. It’s recommended to stop using it once in a while because your body gets used to the weight of it and the therapeutic effects lessen. So if you go away and are without it, it’s fine, but some may find it a harder adjustment than others.
Maybe a wool duvet is for you? They do not have a tog, supposedly warm in winter and cool in summer. I have found I very good except summer, it is too warm for me. Mind you my 1 tog is too warm at the momentDo you have different togs for different times of the year?

Bedspreads are a game changer, the perfect hot weather blanket, and then an extra layer of toastiness in winter..
I’ve ordered a Couple of silent night coverless duvets to try. They come with a pillow too. Going to rotate them and wash and hopefully they are good as I really hate changing duvets etc

I’ve been using just this as a bedcover for the last few months. It’s light,really soft, easy to wash and dry (line or tumble) and just warm enough when you have a fan on in the bedroom. (See below for my pick) I didn’t have the M&S cover on during the heatwave but it’s the perfect transitional cover for spring and autumn. Wintertime I have a JL silk duvet which is thin but surprisingly heavy. Regulates temperature well.
I cannot recommend the Meaco air circulater fan high enough. It was wonderful when it was super hot, now I have it on lowest speed 1 on circulate mode in the bedroom and it’s really quiet but lovely and refreshing.
Sorry if this has already been asked but I have a couple of weighted blankets. Do you think they can be put in washing machine without damaging the machine due to the weight?
You'd have to dig out the manual/google it to find the maximum load weight. You'd have to add water weight to whatever the blankets weigh in at too. (Sorry, no help at all really!)

Mr Fawlty and I get unnecessarily excited about autumn as it means we can soon get the brushed cotton duvet covers out. We use a 4 tog duvet most of the year with a throw in winter. Married life eh?

I just need to share my twopenneth re: duvets.
1.) I have a superking size bed. We have a double and a kingsize duvet on it. Before that we were having full blown rows in the night over our share of the duvet.
2.) I have a thick duvet all year round. Wgen the weather gets hotter I simply adjust how much of my body is covered with the duvet e.g have my legs and arms poking out. Works a treat

I have a wool mattress from John Lewis, would recommend the mattress (not cheap) but not JL's customer service which recently has managed to be simultaneously patronising and inefficient (not a good combo). All my other wool bedding recently has come from the Wool Room - again, might not be the cheapest option but they do have sales and they've been unfailingly lovely and helpful in the past, even though I've been buying their cheapest stuff on sale.Not exactly a duvet q but does anyone have any mattress recommendations? Just recently started using a lighter weight Devon Duvets Wool duvet from John Lewis. Was a decent expense, but I'm enjoying it so far. One of the reviews commented that it was a bit loud, which confused me at first, but it definitely is a bit noisier than my down duvet! It's warm enough for right now (I'm in Scotland) but also a nice heavy weight. Not sure if it will handle the depths of winter. We shall see!

Feather and black. Stayed in a holiday let and the mattress was so good I had to strip the bed, see what brand it was and buy it immediately!.Not exactly a duvet q but does anyone have any mattress recommendations? Affordable but comfy please
