Where is Michelle in all of this?! Jana has been raising kids that aren’t hers since she was about 10. If I was her, I’d marry anyone just to get out of that house!
seems like Jana has been looking after Josh and Anna's kids too so Anna could spend all her time with her dirty bastard of a husband.

Jinger Voulos statement re Josh isn’t pulling any punches!

I saw that- she was probably looking after more kids on her own than a daycare and one walked out that massive house.
Looks like Michelle’s right hand is next to be thrown under the bus.

JBs house, his responsibility surely for any kids being looked after there??
longest one ive seen so far...

We are saddened for the victims of horrific child abuse. We are also saddened for Josh’s family, his wife and precious children.

We are saddened for the dishonor this has brought upon Christ’s name. Josh claims to be a Christian. When a professing follower of Jesus is exposed as a hypocrite, the response of many will be to challenge the integrity of Jesus himself. They’ll question the legitimacy of a Savior whose so-called followers privately delight in the sins they publicly denounce. This is why the Apostle Paul told religious hypocrites that "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you” (Romans 2:24). For Josh, we fear for his soul.

Yet, amidst our sadness, there is gratitude. We are grateful that God is a God of justice who cares for the innocent and the helpless. And, of all the people in this world, he especially loves children, who are among the most vulnerable. This reality makes the existence of sex trafficking and child abuse one of the most horrific evils imaginable. It is an evil God hates.

Jesus welcomed and cared for children, seeing their helplessness as opportunity to protect, not exploit (Matthew 19:14). And his harshest indictment was reserved for those who caused them to stumble: “it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6).

For those who follow him, he requires the same compassion toward children: “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10). The Apostle James put this care at the heart of true religion: “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27).

We are thankful to God for exposing Josh’s actions and to a legal system committed to protecting the innocent and punishing the guilty in this case. We are grateful for justice. We are praying for further justice, vindication, protection, and healing for all those who have been wronged.

Do you also remember her "be joyfully available for him. No matter what, even though you may be exhausted" advice?

yep, she actually said she got a "break" a few days of the month for her period and for a few weeks after giving birth, other than that she said she taught her daughters to be joyfully available no matter what, that's shocking and so wrong.

It's true. These women have to submit to their husbands even if they don't feel like it, I believe there's something about it in the wedding vows.
Yes I remember years ago watching an episode of however many kids she had at the time and counting and Michelle proudly stated the only time she was "excused" from being "joyfully available" to JB was a few days a month for her period and a couple of weeks after giving birth, I remember thinking wow does she get no say in the matter? JB was stood next to her grinning from ear to ear like the big creep he is.

Just a reminder that the sentencing is tomorrow. It's 9:30am EST so 3:30pm here in the uk. No phones, cameras or recorders will be allowed into court so there will be a delay in reporting until people leave court.

It could go on for anything from a few minutes to several hours, it all depends on the expert testimony and statements of anyone the defence or prosecution may call to the stand. Both sides may call nobody or they might call several people. It's very unlikely it ill go into Thursday though.

The defence are asking for 5 years, the prosecution wanted 30-life but the maximum he can get is 20. Whatever it is, Josh is likely to serve around 85% of the sentence before being released on parole.

For anyone curious about his children's ages in regards to sentencing when it's eventually announced; his eldest child Mackynzie is 12 (13 in October), Michael will be 11 on 15th June, Marcus will be 9 on 2nd June, Meredith is 6 (7 in July), Mason is 4 (5 in September), Maryella is 2 (3 in October) and Madyson is just 7 months old (1 in October).

The best thing is that even with his 35 page document, JimBob still let Jeremy and Derek in. Now I know Derek and Jeremy are both of the fundie life but it is fundie-lite in comparison to Duggartown. And Jinger and Jill are free from JimBob's iron rule. It must chew JimBob up to know he "allowed" those two to be free.

Jesus! That is sick! What is wrong with these people?
It's a fertility cult. The entire church - and JB & Michelle were recruiting new members on a grand scale once they got that TLC deal. That network needs to be shut down & thoroughly investigated. They have enabled so much child abuse over the years. John & Kate Plus 8, these Fundie kiddie fiddlers, poor little Jaz the 6 year old trans kid, the teenage mothers one, Toddlers & Tiaras/Honey Boo-Boo. Can you imagine what the crew must have witnessed behind the scenes? What editors left out because they knew it would cause a furore?

It's horrifying that millions of supposedly 'ordinary' people flock to watch content which is clearly abusive, exploitative & emotionally damaging to the children participating in it.

Joy has released a statement. This statement is really sad. It sounds like her parents never told anyone the truth about what josh did and it's really sad that the only way way they found out the truth and got questions answered was to go to the trial and listening to the evidence in the trial.

Anna Duggar left her 7 children including a newborn baby with Jana so that Anna could go over and service her pervert husband's sick sexual needs is what happened. I know who ought to be in court facing child neglect accusations.
Why, oh why, is Jana always left with looking after a boatload of children like she is a single employee in a crowded, professional daycare?

I worry for Jana. Somehow she has always seemed vacant and detached - almost wooden. Her smile never varies and seems empty. Even her body language has restraint. To me, she looks like a trauma victim without any real joy or happiness in her core. Yes, she has always appeared with hair brushed and in place, make-up on, appropriately dressed so at first glance she doesn't draw attention. Still, there's something very robotic about her. I think she has carried too many burdens and the fact that she always looks superficially fine may hide a very damaged human being.

And where is Michelle? Has she had some kind of breakdown? Is she just waiting around to be "joyfully" available to her creepo husband? She has thrown Jana under the bus to fulfill her own narcissistic needs. Mother of the Year. Not.

Does anyone know Scott Reisch, the lawyer and YouTuber, usually very matter of fact even if his opinion goes against the public? He said if he was the judge he would be more inclined to give Josh the maximum knowing that Josh would be returning home to minor children as a way of protecting them. I have a feeling some of the grovelling letters from Josh's family could do him more harm than good, given how head-in-the-sand they are.
I cant wait to see the judge not only say "no he is not coming home" but also he is "sending Josh very far away for a long time" and that when he leaves prison that he "will not be allowed around any children unaccompanied ever again and be monitored by authorities for life!" Let's not forget this was some of the worst ever SA and included SA against an 18 month old!!!! if that doesn't scream danger then I don't know what does?

Poor Kendra her body hasn’t had a break at all has it, she must be exhausted has to be. Isn’t she only in her early twenties as well?
Kendra will be 24 on 11th August. She gave birth to Garrett aged 19. Unfortunately women in this cult have no worth/personality/goal other than being a wife and mother. Fundies like Kendra will pop out babies until they run out of eggs. She could easily have another 15 more kids, especially if she has twins at some point. Joe did build a new, bigger house for them but her greedy father (Paul Caldwell) had to have it for himself.

How can JimBob Duggar still have the nerve to run for Senate?!!
Seriously he should have the good grace to stand down. But then the man is an egotistical bully who believes he is above the law- his son is a pervert and yet he still thinks he (JB) is a suitable candidate to run for the Senate?!!
Surely he will never get elected.

Does anyone else wonder where the Kellers are in all of this? Is Pa Keller that afraid of JimBob so that he won't intervene and pull his daughter out of that house? Do the Kellers not worry about their grandchildren or how Joshua may have treated their daughter behind closed doors? Yah, keep patting yourself on the back about all the prison ministry you do but let your own daughter sink in quicksand. Shame.
Pa passed Anna over to Josh's headship knowing that he had molested young girls. I think that's all we need to know really. He will be encouraging Anna to be a diligent wife and probably blames her for his misdemeanors in the first place.

On BG he liked certain girls skinny young blondes, preferably those from single parent homes without a father/grandfather and who needed a father figure: by the way he is ironically unmarried and childless. direct quote: “it’s disturbing that an older man insisted on surrounding himself with young girls, some of whom were still minors. And he did so in the name of service to god”
---

BG would take a liking to certain girls and invite them to come and visit him at ibpl hq and take them on trips, which was the kind of work away from home that was forbidden for girls under his rules
---

All these girls were unpaid volunteers who would stay in converted office dorms
---

Omg! BG wouldn’t let these girls interact with eachother, all interactions between members were heavily regulated, however since BG was unmarried and without family he would work late and invite the young girls to come and see him, he would rub their feet and hold their hands - things prohibited between unmarried men and women. A lot of the girls would claim he would touch them inappropriately and engage in explicit sexual activity. 10 of these girls filed a lawsuit against BG in 2016, more can be read in the Washington post.
The above is all accusations from Jingers book, I haven’t read up on it or added to the above with personal opinion/research.
---

More allegations about BG surfaced in 2012 on a website called recovering grace, tan by former ibpl members who had had negative experiences with him. Jinger heard about this while still in the family following BG and thought the web runners were agents of satan.
BG resigned and the ibpl board accepted this, claimed he was inappropriate but no criminal activity had been discovered; the board didn’t speak to any of the accusers.
---

BG admitted he did sin and was wrong to hold hands, give hugs, and touch the girls hair and feet. He was not convicted and the lawsuit in 2018 was dropped. This was in the middle of jingers convos with Ben jessa and Jeremy
---

Outside of court BG said these girls wrote him adoring letters so he couldn’t have done the things he was accused of, he still insists he should be the leader of the ibpl. He is allowed to still write on his website as he is still considered by the ibpl to be a valuable bible teacher
---

BG made sex embarrassing and taboo unlike what the bible says. Jinger notes how BG teaching that the relationship relies on the woman letting the man be free means men aren’t held responsible for their actions. Jeremy models Christian like love in their marriage
---

She is talking about Josh: a hard reality that he shows some similar hypocrisy to B, he was living a lie as he wasn’t following Jesus. Jinger hasn’t seen or spoken to Josh in nearly two years but she still prays for him. Only Jesus can say him not false religion and man made rules (ref to bg). BG couldn’t transform Josh only Jesus can.
---

That should say only Jesus can save him, about Josh. She says him and BG need a new heart.
---

The show ending Jinger cried, she is relived to no longer have to film and she didn’t want her two daughters on there anywah but she will miss the crew. Josh’s fall has been more devastating because of the show as people who dislike Christianity can use him as evidence, he gives Christ a bad name.
---

Jinger now spends her days with musicians and people she would have never imagined, spends time with her daughters and preaches to people in the church and discusses sin something she was afraid of before. This was helpful when she thought she was suffering from postpartum depression as she felt able to open up. She is now no longer stricter than Jesus and doesn’t beat herself up if she doesn’t read the bible one day or misses church as there are demands from her daughters.
---

Jinger believes in Christ more than ever now and can’t wait to help her daughters do the same. She doesn’t think she will lose relationships with family and hopes they will get closer in the coming years. She knows she will lose influence from rejecting teachings and speaking out. She knows some will say Jeremy is to blame and she shouldn’t have married an outsider but all he did was point her to scripture and encourage her to think for herself.
---

The end! A lot of anxiety caused by BG and his cult. I wonder if jimbob will be more strict with the younger girls partners needing to be ibpl followers or whether they will listen to anything jinger
---

Jinger and jessa say. Overall not very well written and a but repetitive but she still covered all points necessary to make her point.
