I don't mean to offend anyone but to me it is too kitch like, even the expensive pieces like Venetian mirrors, so far it seems that there are different uber-expensive pieces, collectibles all put together and it should somehow show how posh that place is, but to my defense I never understood neither English nor American colonial style
the same goes for Patricia Altschul's House in Charleston https://www.architecturaldigest.com...tschul-charleston-south-carolina-home-article - I just don't get it

someone mentioned maximalism - I love it, but even that one can be done tastefully (example ),
I get that most of this wallpaper was there before and it is some kind of traditional type

is it just me and my personal taste or I just don't understand the style?

I don't understand why certain colours are put together in that place
style wise I have more inclination to Gwen's castle (that is quite classical)

WOW - where has Soll gone. I was replying to her post and now her name isn't even listed to tag.
WTF is happening? as far i can see, in tattle lande we all debate and self moderate (no pun intended this time). We exchange our views and learn from each other. A healthy dose of cynicism cuts through the smoke and mirrors and it has been prompted by the growth of funds responding to the subtle/not so subtle begging, amongst other things.
Again, lets not forget there are greater powers monitoring social media than tattle mods out there.
And if its 'influencers'!! then they can **** off. My mind will walk its own path thank you very much and you will put your back out trying to stop it. Greater powers than you have tried and failed many times. Give yourself a break and go figure somewhere else.


I've thought that about MP for a long time. The one thing we can't hide in life, without the celebrity sunglasses, is our eyes.
The lad spent 10yrs partying in Manchester and Liverpool. As with the gay (or any) club scene all over the world it is riddled with uppers, downers and all arounders. Look at the Hacienda and Manumission for example. Nowadays there is a whole chemsex scene going on too.
British drinking culture is also deeply entrenched, particularly in modern times, with a binge drinking attitude. If he has a pringles issue with booze (once you pop, you just can't stop) this will cause him to suffer from anxiety and depression. Also, Look at his dads gut, he is a big boozer as well. You can tell by the shape of it that it is not all food related.
British working class - life revolves around the pub.
British middle class - life revolves around wine and dinner parties.
British upper class - full of drugs, orgies, murder and mayhem but people are still socially accepted within those circles rather than being marginalised. The amount of heroin/opium use amongst the upper classes is part of their history and still continues to be so. Look at Hans Rausing for example or the 1920's Happy Valley crowd in Kenya.

I love this post, I learned something new =] it gives the binge drinking girls into perspective

btw I checked the CD#13 and there is Ruth - which I believe is the same Ruth Potty is dating now? I wonder if they knew each other before she dated Potty, it would mean that he basically lives with SJ's bestie now - a bit awkward but not unusual

I think we probably both agree Stephanie’s style is totally unique to her
Definitely one of Stephanie’s reference points is English eclectic! Hence the occasional hodge podge room

for me, I can either go by design school (more architecture), even stagers, I love hotel designers especially in Dubai they can go wild
but with normal people I am looking for their personality something deeper from inside which transfers onto their living space - I didnt lost hope with SJ, I just wonder at times if her taste is a reflection of her borderline kitsch love or is it a business decision to hoarder everything with the most expensive price tag

I disagree with this - she absolutely can sing! The course she completed at one of the best music schools really don't let in people who don't sing in tune! It's not especially surprising that she didn't do it for a job - professional classical music is a hard old, poorly paid slog.

just to explain I didn't mean that she cannot sing, I like the colour of her voice as well as her speaking voice for that matter
but for a professional signer, one needs to be on point all the time, and it can also happen that your voice will give up and you are not able to sing certain notes and with all that drinking she is not preserving her vocal cords either, so I noticed that her voice is tired at times

if there is anyone who is a musician, can they shed the light on this?

Also assumed Stephanie was just poking fun at him with pointing out his title, especially when he came back with the beheading joke. Would be more in line with her brand.

That's why I would love to see her in a opera.l performance. There must be some videos from the times when she was studying. Even as students they have performances

every old video (a year ago) together with the singer page she had, were just her signing concert arias (not opera as such)

I cannot sing myself but I defo can hear and often times she is off-tune but singers can confirm, maybe she actually didn't get the role anywhere

Actually as a florist you are used to work in cold because the flowers are often kept in walking fridges. I don't believe she pays her actual money as rent, but the cooking is part of the deal.

termomix is the answer here, I am positive, I also have a friend who doesn't know how to cook but she wants to, so termomix cooks for her she just puts precisely what the termomix tells her - to me this is strange but why not if you don't know how to otherwise

I've seen her cook with the goat and Georgian guy and once she mentioned that she will replace some alcohol in that Xms cake so you see , it is a progress

I know the Americans are very hmm unworldly but honestly it would not occur to me that one has to explain that this cake is British and that one is not, well, sometimes even I am naive

Does a thermomix cook? cba googling it. Someone here mentioned tomato soup? Have seen her do ice cream in it - frozen bananas I nearly served my mum raw langoustines for xmas dinner once

about "hotter" ppl I know, they do it and normally no one thinks anything of it, but if you are trained well, you can spot the real chemistry easily,
my observation was that there was a chemistry but more for one time hanky panky,

what I struggle with is Spanish touching everyone, that is to me a mystery, I even asked once, how do they know if this is a signal to do the dirty/be longterm or just friends, I am well aware of American dating system and that is another (funny) story but not sure about anglo/saxon, if I make you a cuppa - what would that mean? that I am flirting?

Kats the only voice of reason with all that clutter - hardly princess behaviour! She's not sucking up to SJ like little P all the time, he doesn't seem to do anything except play with fabrics now and again. Kat's actually getting properly stuck in and getting things done on her own.

@Calvignac and @Mand I think you are being very unfair to comment on the brown sugar issue. There is probably NO brown sugar in the small Brit food section of her local supermarket.
