I believe UK dropped that law about 40 years ago. A girl I worked with was going after her ex for breach of promise when he dumped her just a few months before the wedding for another. She was told by a solicitor that it was a no-go. But hell hath no fury and she got herself a little revenge.

Good grief women! Now we're knee twinnsies!!

Since last October, when whatever happened happened, my knee has gone from bad to worse. Some days recently I have succumbed to crutches. My médicine traitant is, along with me, at her wits end. Not one of the specialists I've seen to date are interested in or want to consider the history of my knee injury. I had a cortisone injection about 2 months ago and it made matters a whole lot worse. I have appointments at the end of the month and the beginning of June for 2nd opinions from a recommended sport orthopaedic surgeon and a rhumatalogue. We've heard such good things about both of them that I'm hopeful. I'm also pulling out the big guns and himself is coming with.

@JackSpratt don't let them fob you off. At our age we can't afford to miss out due to untreated injuries. It is so much more than just the pain. I hope your xray goes well. Have you had an MRI (IRM) scan? The problem could involve the gooey bits!
Ha ha. I haven't resulted to crutches yet or a stick (I amm stubborn) but it's not far off. The trouble is when you're in constant pain as I am you get use to it and it depend on the day the degree of pain. It popped when I was in the middle of SuperU on Monday and I've been hobbling ever since.

I know what the problem is, I did it to myself doing keep fit. I totally shredded the cartiledge, so there's nothing there. Had an MRI ages back so suspect i'll be having another after the xrays. I previously had two sets of hyalgan injections, first set I got 18months relief second lot nothing.

Doc told me they don't want to do replacements before the age of 65 but the trouble is due to reduced activity I've put weight on and as a titch it's not good.

He said more than likely it'll have to be done privately at Nantes  I think once they see it, as I'm positive it will have got worse since the last time, it'll be done at the CHU La Roche sur Yon. (she says fingers and toes crossed).

Got the xray on 29 May.

You must plead your diminished quality of life 😘 After all, you have paid your cotisations here. There's plenty others claiming left, right and centre never, ever having paid into the system.

So I have severe OA in both knees and I’ve finally found things that work, I’m on an anti inflammatory that’s prescribed, I take panadeine forte if I have a huge flare (not often) and straight CBD oil (prescribed also) these seem to be reducing my pain as I don’t want a double knee replacement yet.
Sadly I'm beyond all of that due to shredding the cartiledge.

Oh I will, I was initially told the replacements are done at 60 they've now added another 5 years. Poor Doctor, he was under no misconception that I was very very pissed off. Too right we pay enough in cotisations!!

when getting married in France you can tick the box « separation du bien » and any property owned before and after remains with the original owner. Technically, no need for an expensive prenup. IJ and SJ will have that covered.

oh really? then my theory of the 15-year gift and tax evasion of inheritance tax is not so far-fetched as this would tie in beautifully. So no matter how much junk he hauls in and tries spraying all over properties to stake his claim hes never going to see the light of day and we all know nothing comes in between Jarvis and there property portfolios and cash gift grabs.

There's something very off with the boy rummaging through an old ladies wardrobe. Apart from sizing up any valuables she may have, there is a sexual predator kind of vibe happening. I reckon that boy has been a problem, a serious problem. Lucky old Stephanie Jarvis can sure pick 'em.
That and the sick fascination with taxidermy. Like I've said, I think he has some of the same qualities as a socio/psychopath. Not kidding! Plus that tit eating grin all the time, not normal. I'd hate to see what he has in his secret hidey hole, and you know he has at least one in that rambling dump.

I often wonder what the pair of them are like when they lose their temper. I bet there's some door slamming.

I am convinced there is a very nasty side to Little Lord Fauntleroy when he's thwarted.

You sound similar to me. I did too much sport and damaged my knees having to have several cartilage ops over the years. Like you I have no cartilage left and due to being unable to walk very far I too have put on weight. My GP has told me to chase up the hospital myself. 😒

Time to share my watercress story. I think the first time I ever had watercress was from a spring fed stream in Point Reyes National Seashore along the central coast of California. My husband and I were bicycling along the trail when we stopped for water and he noticed the plant, I had no idea what it was. It was delicious! I can sometimes find it in stores here as a hydroponically grown plant. I like it just plain or in soups and salads.

Phi Phi when mean fanny says no, we don’t need more chipped pottery.
I suspect it's more than that! The only plausible explanation for the way that the rest of the Liarlande inmates accept his behaviour is that they know what a nasty little tit he is. We see enough glimpses when the camera is rolling. Heaven news what he's like when he shows his true self. You only have to look at his facial expressions. Is Fanny in a situation that she will be unable to extract herself from now that he has snooped around, listened at keyholes. etc.? It's coersive control in full sight.
