Bourdain takes all that on No Reservations, Season 5, Ep 3 -- hangs out with real Venetians on the other islands, and goes to the fish market, their homes and cichetti bars with them, goes to work in the port, goes to San Erasmo to eat perfect tomatoes, goes to the tugboat guy's home to eat what his mother in law cooked in their beautiful garden (anchovy and onion sauce, cuttlefish en su tinta...some other magical granny/fisherman food, which Bourdain points out is Venice' best thing: Real food, impeccably fresh, flavored with itself and the Adriatico. A Briton who built a big online following with his refurbishment of a French manor house has been convicted of looting artefacts from French churches to sell in Britain and France.
Billy Petherick, 34, originally from Greenwich, was given a six-month suspended sentence and fined €15,000 after the trial in Rennes on Monday for stealing about 80 items in 40 raids, including chalices and keys, from open country churches in Brittany and Anjou in 2014.
