You know what one of the biggest surprises I've had in the chateau world is? Chateau de la Grifferaie!
I remember watching them in early days, thinking what a bunch of weirdos they were (I'll never forget that guy eating crap out of his refrigerator that had been in there since the last time he had come to look at the chateau, a month or so? Eeeewwww!). The religious aspect of it was a slight turn-off but it doesn't bother me now....we are all different and all have different aspects of ourselves that floats our boat. I have come to appreciate/tolerate those types of differences as I've gotten older.
I have also come to appreciate the work they're doing, although I don't watch every video. They have thoughtfully taken care of some major issues with the structure and, while on a tight budget, have done some very nice decorating. No plastic grass, no styrofoam mouldings. No cluttered rooms full of used mattresses. No overabundance of china........just slow and steady. Of course, it doesn't hurt that there's an interior designer in the house - from what I've watched, I like her style.

I have no doubt that when Dan has his totally avoidable fall Fanny will do her utmost to 'make it work for her'!

Arrogance has a way of catching up with people - especially when you're still relatively young, have a bit of life experience, but aren't smart enough to realize you're actually not all that bright.
Take Note Dan......
Many years ago we had a male employee, about Dan's age, who was married and had two young boys not much older than Dan's kids. This chap was off work and claimed he was immobile with a bad back due to an 'alleged' workplace injury. We knew he was faking his back injury, but we couldn't prove it until one day I received a call from his wife. She told me he'd had a serious accident and was hospitalized. Apparently he'd been out dirt bike riding at a local track, was thrown off his bike and as a result he was now paralyzed and a quadriplegic.
Sadly he couldn't work again and Worker's Compensation denied his fraudulent compensation claim about having a dodgy back.
The only fortunate thing was he had a company insurance plan which provided some long-term disability payments, provided a wheelchair, covered retro-fitting a van for his wheelchair and installed ramps at his home.
Dan, when you injure yourself, you won't have a pot to piss in!
IMHO at this time, Dan never intends to finish reconstructing the crispy chateau. He is just using it as a living stage/background for his danger and fear porn entertainment YouTube channel and Patreon. If, in one year, he is now pulling in $30,000 per month and his channel is growing rapidly, he might be able to double that amount within the next six months, especially after exposure on a television show. At his current rate of $30,000 per month he would pull in $360,000 per year. If he double that amount he can pull in $720,000 per year. He doesn’t spend very much on the crispy château itself. If he can pull this off for 2 to 3 years. He pockets a large sum of money. Is his Patreon a nonprofit or will it be turned into a nonprofit soon?
I believe he’s pulling a Stephanfraudie and he’s collecting views and Patreon monies for a project that will never be completed and will likely be abandoned within the next 2 to 3 years after he has pocketed a substantial sum of money and found another scheme / youtube project, etc. or the chateau will collapse and he will walk away. He has watched Stephanfraudie tell hundreds of lies and rake in over a million tax free dollars with less than 10% of the work accomplished that she promised to do at the Dump. Dan repeatedly sets up fear situations in his videos, them disappears for days without letting viewers know he hasn’t fallen to his death at the crispy chateau. Recall he got called out by viewers when he ended a video with his “ see ya tomorrow” and then went missing in action for a few days,
He isn’t taking the project seriously and is failing in following accepted construction standards in what he has accomplished so far. He isn’t serious about renovating and restoring the crispy château.
He found a property with a history that he could use to manipulate viewers and audiences, and pull on their heartstrings to get them to root for him, the perpetual underdog. Recall his narrative to the online magazine that he had just broken up with his partner of 14 years, and that the crispy château saved him from all of his pain, etc. Bullshit. Recall that he conveniently forgot to mention his Dump sidepiece of the past couple of years, Kat, who eased his “ pain” over the dissolution of the 14 year relationship and became his yurt hook up.
He is intentionally setting up his danger/ fear porn/ woe is me narrative in his videos, e.g., he refuses to use equipment that he has on site to lift the rocks up to the appropriate floor. He wants to video himself lugging pail after pail of rocks up a ladder because it suits his storyline.( does he only do this when the camera is rolling? ) He doesn’t wear helmets, respirators, gloves, etc. because he wants to look like “cool” danger Dan. He has perfected his dismissive.” Cool” See ya tomorrow with a hand swipe persona inserted at the end of his videos.
By failing to have a complete realistic plan for the crispy château, failure to be transparent with viewers and patrons about the exact plans for the building, who actually owns the property, the mystery structural engineers, failure to listen to advice, answer viewer question/concerns, the approximate cost to rebuild the château, etc., he is asking viewers in Patrons to blindly trust his words. Do his actions match his words? It doesn5 matter how hard you physically work if you are doing shoddy work/ inadequate construction/ unsafe/ dangerous work.

Just took a glance at Patreon and discovered they now offer a free membership level. It doesn’t appear to give access to anything so no idea why you would bother. I suppose it might give you the ability to report creators. Say for things like, oh I don’t know, fraud or child endangerment.

It's true! Fanny should never be "let loose" in any store selling kitchen items. Why? Because she can't cook, and when she tries, is stingy with ingredients. If she's cooking for others, she uses the cheapest cuts of meat, and expects recipes for four to serve ten people. Who could forget the appalling meal she served the LaLacelle visitors! She is even mean with produce from her own garden, unless it's courgettes, then they are served with every meal. She gets this from her parsimonious mother who likes to starve volunteers, locks food away, and is well known to witch about how much everything costs.
EVERY flog now someone says something is their favourite... Fanny did again last time... so nauseating ...That table genuinely looks nice, better than any of the table settings Snorts has done.
MPK throws arround jokes, or acts funny to make people laugh without putting others down. Snorts does not or can not make people laugh. When he 'jokes' it's ussually by humiliating others. Like the comment towards uncle S. 'If only you could fit in it'. He thought it was a nice comeback, repeated it on camera. But it was at someone else expense. His jokes also never feels like a joke. He means it, but covers it with a soft blanket called joking.
MPK will be back once SJ wants snorts out. His presence makes the boy feel insecure. When they interact, Snorts become the 5th wheel and always tries to get mommy's attention with stupid things like: his favorite play card

When Fanny was in her showing all the details hey day…in the big room stood the billiard table. Apparently they moved the billiard table out of the winter salon as during ten years…they had only played THREE times. This is the billiard table that has recently been restored by the house of Versailles…company on patron dollar.
Those sofas were bought by Daddy dearest from an auction and note the stain that has been there from the early days. Have those sofas ever been cleaned?
Why has snorts been allowed to create a games room in the marquis sitting room and also to change the dining room into a music room. A few comments in the recent vlog telling Fanny tune the piano too.
Each time Snorts reassigns a room he creates problems l Now the free light from Anders that was moved from the winter salon now is too low and so they put the most ridiculous small table to dance around so no one bangs their head.
We have a few running lists here eg Fanny’s dresses, renovations etc.
I would like to propose presents to Fanny from her parents list.
One lie that infuriated me was when Mummy was on Fanny’s bed during her birthday present opening. Fanny said her mother did not give her birthday presents and Mummy said I gave you the gift of life!!!

I think he is upset because the building is literally collapsing 2 to 3 years ahead of his time schedule for milking youtube/Patrons/ tv opportunities and creating new scams/ schemes/ opportunities to exploit.He does not want to invest significant money in the crispy chateau itself. He has never planned to fully restore and live in the building. His hiuse of cards is beginning to collapse. Viewers are starting to call him out on his recklessness, unsafe/substandard building techniques, stubbornness/ indifference/ arrogance towards viewers comments/ advice/ info, etc.
