Off topic: Kyle richards made music video with Morgan Wade to be released August 10th. Morgan Wade and Kyle Richards discuss their friendship and the filming of the music video for Morgan's song "Fall In Love With Me", dropping August 10th

These two are so weird together. But you just made me come up with a new name for Steph and Phil - Salt and Pepper, lol!

No. There would be no special treatment blood relative or not. He would have to prove to the French authorities that he can support himself. That he has enough money to cover any eventualities health wise or other. That his pension fund is sufficient for him to live off of. He would also be required to have a private health insurance plan, a mutuelle santé, that will cover any existing health conditions and any future unknown conditions. He will not be entitled to any help from the state, be it pension, health cover etc. There are no exceptions. Thank Brexit for all the entente cordial entre pays!
Would he also be required to learn the language?

How things have changed. In this patreon vlog she also informs us that Nick is treating her to the orient express trip on his and Marie’s wedding anniversary 😏. Odd .

I knew she'd mentioned it travel on it a while back but didn't know she'd used nick as a gaslighting make believe he was paying. Now snortys been on scene for two years he'd expect to go even if nick was paying.

Marie needs to demand ties are cut this is madness.

There are some sad lonely people out there who will believe anything. A few months ago after a swim I was relaxing in the spa pool and the woman next to me warned me not to talk to the man in the next pool. He had lots of tattoos and she said that he was selling children in to slavery. Apparently anyone with visible tattoos is a child trafficker. I went for a shower early as you can't reason with crazy.
Jeeze, judgy much.
Imagine living that woman's life for just a single day. You'd be off your rocker in self righteous indignation indigestion before lunch!

@Spirit of place , the thread had closed before I could answer your question about Japanese knotweed! I first became aware of it in 2019, due to an article I read in Slate, the writer (who lives in Brooklyn, NY) of the article was having a battle with it in their yard! I attended a workshop at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden that summer and it was a major discussion point. Frederick Law Olmsted's landscape firm was not only contracted to do Central Park, but also Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY. And the success he gained from these projects led him to all sorts of states in the US, where he designed all sorts of municipal gardens, as well as many private gardens of some of the wealthiest families of that time period. In the late 1800's Japanese knotweed was considered quite the specimen plant, and was sold in seed catalogs and plant nurseries.....it originally was cultivated in The Netherlands, so we can thank them for that! It is considered an environmental threat in 42 of our 50 states - it either doesn't seem to grow in the arid Southwest or in a couple of gulf coast states or it was never introduced there.

I haven't read that it has been as destructive as people in England are finding it...probably because we are learning from their successes and mistakes in handling the issue. I have read that in Hudson, NY, along the Hudson River, it has become such a threat, that native species of plants are being wiped out and with that, native wildlife is being wiped out along with it. Not long ago, I read that they were using some sort of system that England has had some success with, something to do with grids that choke out the plants new growth. There have been a couple of lawsuits, as the article in Slate talks about, but nothing like what is happening in England, with people not being to get mortgages or insurance.

Last year, I read an article about how some well-known forager was leading expeditions in Central Park, promoting its use as a food source. Apparently, it tastes like rhubarb! Maybe Stephanie can get Maria to serve it to some of her guests?

The Smugs had a vlog about Japanese knot weed. It's growing on their property, but they don't seem too bothered about it, apart from eating it...

We've all been here a long freakin' time - has the dial moved any? I mean, I'm bored and enjoy it here but has any of *our* posting helped at all? Have we just helped S*P come up with more content? Have we helped them avoid the mine fields?

Since others post music they enjoy - I feel like offering up this . . . and I'd just like to defend myself and say - no, I'm not Pavlina, lol nor anyone else at the chateau :)

Go figure!
I don't watch them, although early on, I did.
I decided that one grifter vlog was all I could handle in my life!

Thank you! I wouldn't have dreamed 7 years ago, after my divorce and consequently loosing my home and left with a serious debt that I would overcome it all fairly quickly. In all honesty it feels surreal (and a little scary)
Congratulations @Luna20, now go live your best life. All power to you babe 😘

I need advice!

Fanny and I have guests next week.
We know that Fanny will disappoint with the offer of food, but that's why I don't want to.
I have wonderful octopuses that I want to make a salad from (celery sticks, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil). It will be mandatory.

And now? What would you make up the rest of the menu from so that everything together makes sense.
Are you hosting your own Patreon Days as well @Tea with lemon ?!? 😂 Just kidding! Since it is summer (unless you live south of the equator), dishes with seasonal produce are perfect- a great salad, crudite platter, peas, gazpacho, fruit platter-whatever you feel like making. If it is hot outside, make cold dishes- and it is never to hot to fire up the barbeque! To go with the octopus salad, you can always put together a chickpea salad with feta and mint, gazpacho, caprese, crusty baguettes, a nice green salad... Cheese board is always a must! Coffee, tea, a good dessert, and fresh seasonal fruit. It doesn't have to be complicated at all. Focus on what is in season.

When I have local friends over for lunch of dinner, I usually make Thai, Italian, Indian, Korean, Greek, Turkish, Japanese, etc... to broaden their palettes. But when we have out of town guests, I like to showcase local/southern specialties- blackened snapper, brisket, ribs, shrimp (@billybudd will attest- there are fare fewer simpler pleasures than a low country boil!), pulled pork, and with side dishes like potato salad, homemade macaroni & cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, baked beans (NOT from a can!) and a key lime pie or banana pudding for dessert and there is always fresh seasonal fruit- our local fruit is amazing. (Heat or not, I will use the oven when we have guests staying with us for brekkie- biscuits for biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, muffins, bagels-so much better from scratch!, hashbrown casserole, etc.- my brekkies are legendary.)

The biggest thing for out-of-town guests is that they are truly interested in where you live, so it's always fun to share with them what makes it special. We take them to museums, beaches, out on one of the boats, to our favourite "hole in the floor" restaurants, the eclectic tourist attractions, fishing, kayaking, local breweries, etc.

At this point, @Tea with lemon - you are 100% better off than Fanny, as you are putting actual thought and care into what you serve your guests. Best of luck next week, and I know it will be a success! ❤

She literally could not have picked a creepier looking/acting boyfriend imo. Bring back Mason. Sure, he's going to sun his balls in the courtyard twice a day, but at least he has some. And his expressions and eye rolls when she spoke, pretty much said what we're all feeling.

You've done it again, genius. Thank you.

The whole environment has been destroyed on the instructions of Stephanie Jarvis. Some trees did need to be thinned due to age and safety, but the "creation" of an artificial, ridiculous "cottage garden" in a park is absurd. Stephanie Jarvis is a city girl who is way out of her depth living in the country. She is doing exactly what a whole lot of urbanites do when they move to the country- bulldoze and destroy. The forest area and walks on her property to the stream are incredibly valuable- she is an absolute fool to destroy the natural beauty.

With the chapel nonsense, has it ever been discussed on camera the cost benefit of dismantling the chapel and re-building? It would be the same chapel but on solid foundations, same lead light windows, same interiors except for the paintings which would need re-doing. If she is gung-ho to destroy the natural environment why not destroy the chapel and re-build?
i know you must work with nature. rule number one. am sad SJ listens to fools.but no worries. nature always rules.

Oh no!!!! Since Khillip reads here religiously, the poor Dump B and B visitors will likely now have Japanese knotweed salad added to the Dump dining menu as a “ regional” delicacy!

I was wondering since SJ is crying poor and faffing about doing f&!k all except buying crap and travelling courtesy of scamming $1m+, if she’s bought Baghead out and has next to nicks left. I wouldn’t put it past her, she’s a conniving self serving twit.

It would be very difficult to retire to France since Brexit. Also he is much better off in the UK with the NHS considering his health history
Believing in the fake world of life love and laughter, it’s the fans that want Gerry to move to the damp, dirty unheated Chateau, an idea which Fanny perpetuates with her over-the-top gushing (love bombing) over her brother, and her oft repeated story of him pushing her in a stroller. Fanny, a woman of some means, even when she has been cash poor, has allowed Gerry to pay for expensive trips. Is there anyone Fanny hasn't manipulated for her personal gain?

If Fanny was so loyal and enchanted, her brother would already have an apartment and financial stake in the dump. blood relative or not, Fanny’s parents didn‘t give Gerry an early inheritance. He‘s been caretaker of Isabelle /staff for years, and has his taxi business to run. With all the jobs at Lalande, he’s never been accepted a job there…strange, no?

Another cast member who’s gone AWOL, looks like even loyal Gerry has given up the jig. Even if he diligently shows up for a channel 4 wallpaper job and in the comments section during the live chat, it must be tiring to always play the bit part in The Fanny Show.

The query about patron funding bnb or furniture…..Fanny had as one of her ‘ targets’ custom made mattresses for the beds that guests use.
?? patron is for renovations and not spent on moveable items except items like the billiard table
This was before the association, i think

To be fair she has quite literally been slumming it for all those years living in squalor… This is the result of residing in a damp old crumbling freezing farmhouse, drinking heavily! Only difference now she has Snorts to dress her and make sure she washes, MariA to serve her the prison meals to line her stomach, and the Patrons to pay the hefty cosmeticyes, surgery bills 💵 💰
we already know this years project - the kitchen corridor got painted green and they hung a daddy porn. What an amazing renovation. Dan would be better to be filming as he seems to actually have some work happening - albeit like a snail. Better tha Fanny the sloth. By the time Fanny is done faffing to scam patreons for the chapel and lake - dan may actually have a roof and some floors
Even Marie is doing up the bread oven room.

Gerry will not retire to France mainly because Fanny will not be at the dump in her old age.
Gerry will no doubt inherit the tiny house that Isabel uses when she is in the UK or he could let it as a pension as somehow I doubt he has a private pension.
where will Fanny be in ten years time!?
This is the main reason, when Isabelle dies, who gets what. Lalande is a tear down in the middle of nowhere. There will be no money spent on this. Stephanie will get S Africa House and London flat. Gerry will get Framingham flat.
