The Christie’s debacle was priceless. Not in a good way. It, was, if nothing else, a master class in ineptitude, incompetence and ignorance. SJ hadn’t the faintest idea how stage a vignette - creating the illusion of seeing a snapshot of a part room. She and the prancing twerp were completely out of their depth. It was hilarious and cringeworthy in equal measure, seeing those two floundering. It was bewildering how she got the gig - lots of tattle speculation and whispers that in some way she paid her way in. Comedy gold or a really bad, third rate horror film. Take your pick!

The best put together of the four vignettes (which is not saying a lot) was the one done after SJ and her wingman fled left NY (Versailles beckoned). They might not have run out of time if she’d spent less time faffing around in her floaty negligée. Imagine bagging this one off opportunity and managing your time so badly, and not taking it seriously enough, that you scuttle away before completing what you’d undertaken.

Some idiot viewers, of course, thought what SJ did achieve was a triumph, gushing about her “talent”. More fool them. And more fool the Christie’s specialist -the silver woman, whose name I forget - and her sidekick for overdosing on Stephanie’s superficial charms which masked total unsuitability for the task.
i guess i misunderstood the task. i thought her job was to put as much as was aestheticaly possible of christie's' stuff in an interior. kill me, but i think one of the rooms she "made" was half decent (with pink toile wallpaper), the others almost made me blind because too much of everything and clashing of colours..

I watched the chateau Ten Berghe vlog yesterday and he said that thanks to his visit to LaLande his vlog had gotten a lot of new subcribers. So that's why the family visited Stephanie I suppose
His words "In the last week since Stephanie from CLL mentioned us we have got 3000 new subscribers"
Thats the only reason most will visit her, do you notice no one visits he Pethericks to try and get new subscribers unless part of the club, ED, Phil and clingy Ryan.

Prehaps Stephanine only took Alexander for Winter to get the Petherick boys down to get more subscribers and when it failed she booted Alexander out.

I just watched Dan’s latest video.

Why does Dan refuse to use safety equipment? Almost half of the comments on his videos are people reminding him of common sense safety practices that he will not do. He has received literally hundreds of comments expressing concern over his failure to use appropriate gloves, a safety harness, safety glasses, performing dangerous work alone at his crispy chateau, and using unsafe work practices, He doesn‘t acknowledge these comments and doesn’t change the reckless way he performs work. People anxiously comment about safer ways to perform tasks.

Why do you think he is so reckless? Does he not understand that he can be seriously injured or setting himself up for future health problems? He has 2 small sons. What is going on with him? Is he stupid, overconfident, attention seeking? People would send him safety equipment.
I think he does it for the comments.. more comments more money?
---
Where would you send safety equipment to Dan he lives in an airBnB.
Send it to his boys to give to daddy..
---
I guess this must have been on this person's mind, since they'd just had the surgery.
As far as I'm concerned, cataracts are the very least of the very serious problems that will arise should he continue with the choice to not wear protective equipment!
Not to mention the ricketty scaffold

Stephanie’s statue had the lips deliberately oversized and painted bright red, and the face where only the eyes were visible. I’m obviously not an expert in this field, but I wouldn’t find a statue of the Bahamian police force offensive. I would find it offensive if it was created to exaggerate facial features of black people, like the one that Stephanie has.
Now that would indeed be offensive no matter the reason for it’s existence. Many years ago I knew an antique dealer who collected black Americana. While I’m old enough to have remembered seeing plenty of these items in original use, mostly advertising, it never ceased to astound me that someone would collect it and not see it as unacceptable.

In Dan’s comments, a person wrote something about cataracts and not using eye protection.

I think what this person meant was you are at a higher risk of developing cataracts at an earlier age if you don’t protect your eyes from injury. Here is an excerpt of an article that would apply to Dan’s routine failure to protect his eyes.

4. Protect your eyes from injury

Injury to your eye is another risk factor for cataracts. Wearing proper safety eyewear during sports and other activities can protect your eyes from injury and reduce the risk of cataracts.

You can help protect your eyes by wearing:

  • a helmet with a face mask during contact sports
  • safety goggles when handling chemicals, using a device that shoots projectiles, or when around flying debris. Dan doesn’t do this regularly.
  • appropriate safety eyewear when operating power tools, industrial equipment, or even a hammer. Dan does not do this regulary,
You can also protect your eyes by taking precautions when opening bottles with corks and avoiding handling, igniting, or standing close to fireworks.

Another viewer commented that Dan was being careless when not wearing a mask or respirator which would protect him from breathing in dust and other harmful particles which are not expelled from your lungs.
There are basically 3 ways of getting early onset cataracts: head injury, long exposure to ultraviolet light and diabetes. Otherwise we would all get them eventually merely by aging - it's just that some of us die before developing them. I got them at age 40 - and it's still a mystery as to why as none of these apply.

This was the only other thing I found www.lalandemoreau.com in Bordeaux. There is the other Chateau Lalande but that's in the Dordonge. I just wonder if it was just the name that was decided on. I even looked for a Domaine de Lalande and nothing. It was very nice though I must admit.
I found the same, I was looking for a producing vineyard of the name. Occasionally we see someone present Fanny with one of those bottles. I did wonder if it was just a label produced by a conglomerate or cooperative with grapes from different vineyards like some vin ordinaires. The website has the option to personalize the label on your order which seems a little suss to me. But what do I know?!?😝

I’ve only ever commented ‘questionably/negatively’ in CD, Escape to the Dream and the American family were Phiphi headed off to after Easter. All annoy the hell out of me. Surprisingly not blocked (yet), but I noticed that if you open with a ‘nice’ comment with the negative comment not showing unless you press ‘see more’ you can get a like from the channel 😂 which means they scroll through liking all comments without looking at the detailed comment.
@stella65 off topic once again- well it’s the weekend- I have a little granddaughter named Stella (Stella Jane)- after two grandmothers ( a great and a great great)! She is a sassy/feisty thing too! Age 3- gets written up at day care since barely 2- 😮 for being aggressive to classmates! Only once was she on the receiving end- bitten- it was probably retaliation! She was a push and shover! 😂😆😆 well she was the youngest of 4 of my grands at the time (counting cousins). She had to defend herself!!! Now baby Dottie is the baby of the 5!!!

Funny how when you check out the Christie’s website they don’t have a single listing for shittelaine tastemakers! I considered looking to see if those two idiots that worked with her were still employed, but I wasn’t going to scroll through 504 employees.

They both still work there - I've followed Christies on Instagram well before they showed up with Stephanie. While the guy and girl who were featured with Stephanie don't make appearances in Instagram as regularly as others who work there, they have both shown up since January.

Interesting that it doesn’t appear to be connected to the Chateau LaLande winery. Which also isn’t connected to Fanny. Like you, I’ve found plenty about the de LaLande varietals, but not the winery from which they originate. There are websites that claim there’s a Veuve de LaLande winery in Bordeaux but with no actual evidence beyond bottles for sale.

An above ground pool wouldn’t help Lalande, it would make it even worse.

As you may know, I live in Florida. Pool heaven. A few years ago, my dad was telling me that he was thinking about putting in an above ground pool. I told him to keep his white trash on the inside of his house. (No offense to those of you with lovely above ground pools)
now I am envious 🙃🙃 I love Florida ❤❤

I have an inflatable hot tub, does that count, it's on my deck and 104 degrees with bubble jets. It is my true happy place.

oh that is the worst pain, I hope you saw a Doctor and started on some meds.
Oh wow remember when one of my sons had shingles at age 6 it’s horrific hope you feel better soon xx

I’ve just been talking to my ex mother in law about what food she would like me to buy for when I watch the coronation with her next weekend. There are just the 2 of us but she has bought so much just incase anyone passing should wave as they pass her window. I will be sent out to drag them in and feed them. I’m not drinking as I will be driving so she has only bought 2 bottles of bubbly. And yes I do have a couple of things on my list to buy when I pass marks and spencer on Tuesday just incase we don’t have enough. 😂😂
What time do you want us round then 😂

These stupid Lalande guests/worshipers (plus she mentioned one couple had been several times!) would eat pig swill. They're beyond help. Why serve pretentious miniscule dinners? Why not something simple like we had Saturday evening, a charcuterie board to share between 4, echine de porc confite, in a thyme jus with creamy herb potatoes, followed by a not too sickly brownie and caramel beurre salé ice cream.
This is simple in your world? Wow! No "hamburger-aire" for you then!

What is echine de porc confite? I did look it up... candied pork back?

I thought they might be referring to Mummy still scrubbing the comments section for Stephanie. Delightful use of Mummy’s ‘golden years’.

Those white sugar sand beaches are tough to beat! I remember seeing the signs for the whitest sand beaches when I was a little girl- figured those signs are everywhere but it was actually the truth! Most beautiful beaches! It is getting overly developed (the panhandle), commercialized but still can find some gems to visit there! ☀🏖🐠
We spilt visiting Florida over about 20 visits did the east coast then over the pan handle down the West cost the keys then bits inland loved every minute lots of great memories - lots of fav places / cedar key (not part of the keys ) met the most super friends still have today (cedar key B&B which we had a chance to buy 30 years ago big life regret )
Sanibel Island - Mount Dora (super for the weekend antique shows ) the Lakeside Inn great in its hey day - Micanopy inland - Siesta Key oh blimey I could go on and on !
