The poor lamb.
Standing up there in his high heeled brocade boots (a gift from Tatty, that's now only good enough to do the painting in) saying he was going for a masculin/feminine look.............so no change from your normal dress code then you pillock! I'd like to think the lot from Puy Vidal only went so as they know how not to run a Chateau and how the hell did they cope in that over stuffed nightmare of a room! It's about time they all just grew up.

Oh er someone on f/b has just posted this on Selmar’s page as he‘s put the selmargate vlog up again.
so sorry about this experience Selmar. You were there (but we did not meet) when I stayed at Lalande. We had a lovely weekend there but it didn't go down well with Natalia when she asked for honest feedback and we mentioned that although there was a tray of tea available when we arrived on the first day; it wasn't cleared away or replenished for the next days. There is such a big deal made of (normal) tea in the morning and the dirty cups from our arrival just sat there for our entire visit. The beds were not made and the room not cleaned. The shower didn't operate properly and you couldn't lean over to brush your teeth in the tiny shower room because the sink came to your knees and if you bent over you would hit the wall. The back window of our car had been prised open with a screwdriver and cracked in the car park. The breakfasts were chaotic and fairly random. There was even a bizarre scenario when we were asked on the morning of our departure if we would like to be waved off by Stephanie as if she was royalty... crikey.. We have spent weekends and holiday's with far more important and influential people and it would never occur to any of them to see the departure of anyone but as an obligation to say goodbye personally. It was beautiful and we did enjoy our stay but had a rather stiff response to our pretty valid comments (made purely because the cost was higher for bed and breakfast than their contemporaries and it's always good to know where things need to be improved) and told when we mentioned we would like to stay the following year that would be unlikely. I see that as bad management; and only mention because it sounds like the pot was calling the kettle black - as the saying goes. I can see that it would have been problematic if the chemistry wasn't right. You were there; we all know, when they needed you most. The place was absolutely on it's knees and they were isolated. We all saw and know what you did and it is absolutely unfair for anyone to behave towards a volunteer in that manner. I can see that the introduction would add to the frisson - and that is natural I am afraid in a house of communal living; but it is quite offensive that any manager should behave without due respect. If there was a problem that was for the owners to sort out in a civilised manner.

How long will this stay up?
their beds were not make, their room not cleaned and somebody tried to break into their car. otherwise, it was a lovely weekend
   :poop:
who on earth would want to go back??!!

Now read carefully as I will write this once and once only.

Selmar my view on everything is because his mother was artistic, he and his siblings were different from the rest of the crowd. he doesn't appear to have friends left behind him in the Netherlands. He doesn't appear to have had an intense emotional relationship with anyone when he was younger.

Apart from his accident I don't believe he was a star at school, what he showed us about his job was far different from what a tool maker who flated with us in my very long ago days. Looked more like a pattern maker in metal. My asumpton is that because of his family lifestyle he didn't have many friends at school and tended towards living an alternative life of fantasy.

The drawings he showed Stephaine were a very naive nature, exactly what he is. He had never been popular and whole lalande experience made him feel loved admired by many people throughout the world. There has been no reality check that was an exceptional time, a WW pandemic, social media WWconnectivity far different from 1918 when people in your country didn't know what was happening except in their small locations.

When he left and went to Bill and Viviane he tried to recreate the lalande there. The very cringeworthyness of doing his own Chateau Cadeaux, the easter egg hunt was to me vomit inducing.

He hasn't grown up, he wants to be a star someone who is recognisable someone people flock to as they did with their comments on Chateau diaries. Life has moved on so have people we have a new normal and Selmar is forgettable.

Producing vlogs showing a kitten playing or rabbits in a chateau room show how limited his world is, thats the type of world people who are sick and unable to socialise because of their illness, be it cancer, anxiety or whatever live in. Seen it far too often in my nursing days.

It is my belief he is going to become a blight in the Chateauverse, travelling from vloging Chateau to Chateau trying to content and bludging off the workaway system. He can never recreate 2020 again.

When he came on here I skipped those threads he had nothing to provide me with, I only hope I have expressed myself sufficently that this does not become a derail. Or I ahve insulted any fellow tattlers, and if Selmar is still on here and reads this he reflects on the past and puts it in that knapsack of the his back, them removes and throws it away. By doing so he will become a better person. IMHO

Repeating myself I am not a Selmar fan. I've had my say, that's it no more on the topic from me. These are my feelings and assumption, I only hope two things from thsi post .
I agree with you in this analyses. I feel that he is looking for something that necessarily does not exist.

I would not dare to guess his social skills or is he on the spectrum of autism. But i feel bad that he has been taken advantage of and possible will be in the future. I hope he finds someone or a tribe of people with similar way of looking at life.

I dunno know much about his GF but I suspect he is been taken for a ride... And not the fun kind.

All they need is Tatiana, I imagine she would love wafting around in the woods with them!
I think he needs putting in the woods and being left there. What with him and the other stupid git jumping in the rancid moat in a top hat.

p.s. will we see an installation of a pool now potty has made Lala land his base? I find him far easier on the eyes and less obnoxious than Nostrils.
That does not take much anything with a pulse would be an improvement on Nostrils

That pink dress plus the make-up looked more like Barbara Cartland than Barbie. How on earth can anyone with any sense think she looks good like that? As for her rubbing her hands round those arancini balls, I would not be surprised if she hadn't washed her hands after collecting dirty chickens'.eggs!

Why does Natti always need to sit beside Amuary - shows a very high degree of insecurity?

It’s the strangest review. On one hand they loved their stay, on t’other there’s some fairly heavyweight criticism. And the “adieu from the chatelaine” question being posed has left me speechless.

Thank god PhiPhi doesn’t live in Tennessee where they just passed a law banning female or male impersonation in front of children under the age of 18! Easter would have been a disaster…PhiPhi arrested after parading around in front of the kids in his high heels, painted nails, granny cardigan, and brooches! (A US federal judge has temporarily blocked the new law; Kentucky attempted to pass a similar law but, thankfully, it was vetoed by our governor).

Mamma Puy Vidal enjoys the finer things in life, so I'm sure she wasn't impressed with the shitoo.

Yes, I think Natti’s insecure, but I also think they really didn’t know most of the people at the party very well. So they might have just felt more comfortable sitting together. It’s actually sad…for me, Easter is about getting together with family and close friends. It’s not about seeing how many strangers or acquaintances I can invite to film for my vlog.
