Lots of stunning traditional Colonial era and Victorian era architecture, the Gold Museum, Sovereign Hill of course, Eureka Stockade, a fine regional botanical gardens, the walks round Lake Wendouree, great regional foods, and the antique stores are worthy of the trip alone.
