Dan is having no Patreon for his new venture? Yeah like hell! Let's see how long that lasts! And seeing how he's closing down his current Patreon, what's he going to do with all the vlogs he churned out for his paying audience? Delete them completely? Upload them to his regular channel?

A friend of a friend of a friend ran afoul of Patreon rules for his anime channel in Singapore and was given two months by Patreon to close it down over copyright violations and for filming locations without permission. Perhaps Dan is actually being kicked off Patreon? Otherwise, why loose a productive revenue stream when he's taking on renovating a monstrosity? It doesn't make sense.
He did say 'unfortunately', so I'm assuming not his idea... He'll need a lot of 'buy me a coffee', and he's going to need proper boots!

Got it, thanks. Just forwarding it on to the legal team.
I'm curious, I know all Tattlers would like to see SJ's monetary activities looked into but can I ask why you have such a personal interest with a legal team already invested into investigations?

The Chateau Diaries
This vlog is a diary of our lives at Lalande, and to show Ian in isolation would have been to ignore the effect that his passing has had on us all. He was a lovely man, and the entire community (far beyond the walls of Lalande) have been deeply affected
"Diary of our lives" is a crock of crap! The last time I kept a journal/diary(while the kids were small), I'm pretty sure truth and reality were recorded. Not the made-up fantasy life Stephanie Jarvis records.
The reality of her life is fraught with money problems, an immature boyfriend, and deadlines to pump out nonsense videos.

@Yebo Patreon opened around 9th Feb 2020 - so any funds there are not in the Association until 26th January 2021

Sorry I cannot make sense of what this says.
If you became a patron before the Association was formed on 26th Jan 2021 then those funds went directly to SJ to put towards the renovation.
For some reason (tax?) she decided to form the Association. There after all patrons became members of the Association. Let's be precise. The exact wording is:
'Membership of the nonprofit Château de Lalande Association, dedicated to renovating the Château. You'll be helping to restore a beautiful 16th century French Château.'
The patron's legal status changed. As members of the Association, there are legal safeguards.
A) Funds would have to be utilised solely for the purpose of renovating and restoring the Château.
B) Members have powers to elect the officers of the Association.
C) Members have a direct say, through the AGM, on the budget ie how the money is spent. In this case it would be the power to say no English garden until the heating is done etc.

The Association is obligated by law to hold an AGM at which ALL members must be invited to attend.
It is at the AGM that the officers of the Association must present the accounts and the next year's budget to be approved by the members.
This has not happened apparently. Instead, without discussing it with the Members, the existing officers under the leadership of IJ as the Principle Officer, have done away with the patreon members and downgraded them from members to benefactors and sponsors thereby removing their rights.

Ideally, as this is occurring under French laws, it would be more convenient and cheaper to have this looked at by a French lawyer rather than me having mine, in the City of London, consulting their French Office at my expense.

It appears that the downgrade was made after the period in which the official AGM should have been held. In which case, I think, that an argument may be made that the Association has contravened French law.

I suspect that I joined after the change was made. However if the intention is to stop the grifting I believe there may be enough information here to do that.

I'm curious, I know all Tattlers would like to see SJ's monetary activities looked into but can I ask why you have such a personal interest with a legal team already invested into investigations?
Sure, I sued someone in a massive multi jurisdictional case that spanned two continents and three countries. We settled out of court and the lawyers made a ton of money out of it. I naturally had to work very closely with the legal team. So I have some experience. Other than that I'd rather not say.

@Yebo if your solicitors can figure out who Stephanie's and The Petherick's accountant is and how to contact them, they would likely have a lot of information...

Not to forget, that she forgot to publish the accounts... by blaming the accountant.
Speaking of... If she promises to show the accounts, yet fail to deliver, wouldn't that be a breach of something, maybe not a legal breach, but one could hope...

@KyBourbon do you have screenshots of the old patreon tier benefits before she updated them recently?
No, unfortunately I don’t have screen shots of SJ’s original tiers. I had taken screen shots of the “Magical Modernist Mansion” Patreon levels…back when they had to “quickly and unexpectedly” set up a Patreon (but, somehow, they already had all their tiers figured out and defined in detail).

Well I'm not sure. If I do not have a claim then the obvious this is to collect as much information as is possible and hand it over to the relevant authorities. Depends. We are still collecting the information and SJ still has a chance to explain everything. The authorities in France and the UK and South Africa will be interested. The thing is, we do not know whether this is a fraud or not. So I'm leaning on reporting the matter to the Office Of Serious Fraud here in the UK.

Remember we are just patrons not fraud specialists. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree but it sure doesn't look that way to me.

Is the association not registered in France? We are not part of the EU any more? Why would UK authorities be interested?

I'm sorry...just why are you willing to go to all this expense, and who do you plan on giving all this information to? The French government will not give two hoots over a so-called technicality. Besides, if this is a Patreon matter, the country Patreon resides in may take precedence over France.
Maybe you're right. Let's see

I assume there will be a personal financial gain for you in this story too. Probably ''fame'' within your industry too, because you are taken down a youtube, with a massive Patreon account.

What will he do in life when this ride's over?

Is your name by any chance @Isabelle6541 ? If not, I’m sorry, but you should know that using words like ‘team’, ‘we are mapping out’ and ‘going through legalities’ leaves a rather sour taste in many of our mouths. Not saying your concerns aren’t legit, just that you need to be prepared to face a whole lot of negative scepticism. If you are legit, I’m an avid cheerleader, obviously.
Has she posted anything after she said a group of people will infiltrate the chateau lol

Nope, just the satisfaction that a grifter has been stopped. My name won't necessarily be anywhere and there really isn't any financial gain except stopping the £4 monthly donation. And anyway, the info I get will be shared here so anyone can take it and run. Already there's enough. But let's wait and see. There may be a perfectly simple explanation for everything.
