Hi all, first post here. I’m a CD ex-patron, long-time lurker, finally at my wit's end and need to talk about it.

I used to love watching CD. I was completely sucked in during a very stressful period in the pandemic. I didn’t mind being a low-tier patron simply for the extra content, as it was a great escape after a long day working in the COVID ward. But over time, I began to get strange vibes I couldn’t explain. The grabeaux channel appeared and put a bad taste in my mouth. Once I found tattle and once I realized what was ACTUALLY going on at the chateau, it all started making sense. Her dysfunctional sexual relationships with the various men who frequent the vlogs, including her employees (ew - and illegal, non?). The fake interactions between her family members. The poor-me lie she is selling to bring in the $$$.

Her relationship with Philip has made the vlog actively unpleasant to watch. I was weirded out by the age difference and the co-dependent mechanisms of their relationship (his serving as a young arm decoration, and her serving as a giant dollar sign/share in a french chateau in his eyes). Do you remember the point where she began to chuckle/snort-laugh like he does? Absolutely made my ears bleed. Since Philip has taken over, the videos are about shopping for clutter and overpriced tacky decor. Stephanie’s charm has evaporated and the lie she has been weaving no longer sells. She is chasing a grandiose dream of luxury, Louboutins, and elevated social standing and she is taking advantage of vulnerable and lonely people to pay the way for her. Posting the fake birthday shoes for all to see? A new low and a giant middle finger to all of the people who financially support her.

I have to say, this group has been a great distraction for me through a terrible time. My mother was fighting cancer at the start of the pandemic, I was also deeply concerned for my business prospects and it was at that time I found CD. The scales dropped from my eyes after finding Tattle and especially Clara after Michael’s meltdown. Since that time I came here everyday to see what new thing the insane chatelain had done.

Also since that time my mother recovered from her cancer, but ultimately entered hospice care nearly a year ago for COPD and emphysema related difficulties. In between a ton of grief and despair I come here and am entertained, flabbergasted, shocked, sickened, angered, and bemused. It has been a great distraction. I haven’t really wanted to say anything about all this going on with me. It’s been a little over two weeks now, but my mom passed away. I was with her when she went, and she was peaceful.

I guess I’m mentioning it now because I’m just finding that I associate all of this with her decline and passing away. It’s like the two things are all twined together now. It’s helped me keep my mind off of terrible things and I’m really grateful for it. On the other hand, now I feel like I am waiting to see some sort of justice for all the people Jarvis has scammed, to kind of put this horrible chapter of my life to rest. I’ve been waiting and waiting and I surely hope there is comeuppance for her next month. I’d really like to know that we had a part in it and that she is over. I kind of need it to be over to shut the door if you know what I mean.

Charity my ass! You "buy" a $6000 unbelievably ugly vase from that exploitative outfit in South Africa, then a few months later send them a "charitable" donation of $6000? They get a bunch of exposure, you get an atrocious vase, and they get a "donation" to support their "charitable" foundation that appears to only prepare young people for demeaning careers in low-wage jobs creating culturally-appropriated images for the financial benefit of a white lady. Why people send you anything except a one way ticket to jail is beyond me.

This stood out to me too as the biggest middle finger Isabelle Jarvis could grub, not to her daughter but to us all, the ones who know better and see her for the b*tch she is. Even if she would have a choice, Isabelle Jarvis would still choose any lie over the truth because she's convinced it will benefit her more. I have seen her being confronted in public by her daughter, who knows what a conniving lying piece of shit her mother is and who finds extreme enjoyment in exposing her and poke fun of her, and still defend the most silly lies as being the whole truth and nothing but. That woman literally has nothing to lose, all her life has been build on scams and lies, the worst one being her air of honorability. She was ready to shove her own mother into that crumbling bread oven at the HMN and light the fire herself, she hated her that much. I'm sure Stephanie Jarvis recognizes that feeling.

What a liar, we know this is all bullshit, she’s wasted time by not fixing anything. And we know he was never going to fix it lol!

I heard about the moving keystone of the vaulting ceiling that needs repair months and months ago. Having that checked out has always been a conditional demand anyway, as it requires a specialist beyond the chapel restorer and she knew this all along. I was wondering when she was going to use it as an excuse not to talk about the real reason the chapel restorer hasn't started (not wanting to pay him for items already purchased), and now we know. She had a whole summer getting things organized and get an expert in, but obviously her travel and party priorities got in the way. Now she can safely blame the restorer once again, who clearly didn't want to talk to the insane charlataine anymore and waited until her mother was back on the scene to tell them he wasn't going to do the work, period. Don't be surprised when in the near future she will come up with yet another narrative of being gifted lovely items for the chapel from the restorer, who felt horrible for bailing on them. That is, if Isabelle signs the association cheque for them. If not, she will simply never talk about those items again and the chapel restorer will have to find another buyer for them. Either way is fine with miss J.

I’m confused, because the vase from Ardmore wasn’t a gift, I bought it (and it wasn’t €6000!)

Same old tactics of smoke and mirrors: instead of answering the serious concerns behind the details, she just picks one detail and makes a statement of being confused. How can we think she would be capable of anything bad??? She truly is a master in diverting the attention. It's not about how expensive that ugly vase was, it's about the unethical act of calling her dealings with Ardmore 'for charity' and claiming it will help overcome the gap between rich and poor in South Africa, while sipping expensive champagne ("It was a gift!") and splurging on chocolate (It was a gift!"). Believe me, she knows how bad things look and are. But she is convinced she has this special wits to get away with all of it, always. So far she has, but... tick tock

From what I've heard, someone convinced her that by pretending to send money to poor Africa she has less chance of being audited about those "donations" and she can claim it was not her fault that that money has disappeared.

I do know what you mean: with every fiber of my being I'm hoping the same. I think we can all agree on the fact that there is no way the insane chatelaine is ever going to change. We can be outraged and angry, it will only make her more convinced she's right. That woman is sick to her core. I have spend a lot of time trying to come up with arguments to put out there for her to embrace, to change for the better, even if it was just a little bit. I wasn't the only one, a lot of people have tried to reason with her. Every single one of them have come to the same conclusion: a waste of time and effort. Even the insane charlataine herself is convinced that in the end she will be digging her own grave. Over time, my outrage over what's going on at her HMN, the actual hurt she's spreading in the name of love and laughter, has shifted towards the ones that know better but keep enabling her, acting like she's their goose with the golden eggs, all for their own benefit while ignoring the damage they are condoning. It's truly heartbreaking to witness, people that start out with good intentions, dreams and objectives, getting the life sucked out of them because they somehow have to pretend this is the life they want. It's not just Stephanie, it's the ones who refuse to stand up against her and tell her the truth, that are keeping the shipwreck afloat. I have seen a lot of cracks appear, again and again, but there's always some knight in shining armor that choses to sacrifice himself to save her. The ones that don't usually simply disappear and keep quiet, as that seems to be the only way to escape. It has made me irritable and petulant, but never less determined. I can't guarantee anything though, other than what the laws of physics tell us: what went up, must come down. The sooner the better, yes please.

The trouble is that poor Davy is just another hapless victim in Fanny's game of charades. He's made the rookie error of actually believing her lies. Gone to all this trouble, hours of work, taken it seriously & she's just using his pretty pictures & expertise to flim flam the patrons & string them along that their money isn't being spaffed on holidays & shoes but carefully squirrelled (pun intentional) away.
Oh Davy, you think you've found someone and somewhere where you are a friend. You've been conned. She'll do what she wants anyway & her mantra of it must look pretty & showy is all she cares about. She's not concerned about the long term eco/horticultural/aesthetic benefits. Just the here and now.

Spot on and not just concerning Davy. She knows and has been in the know all along, that every single soul that steps over the threshold of her HMN into the line of sight of her pink phone is captured in the webs she has spun, the fake sticky tacky love and laughter which represents absolutely nothing real but is furnished as a lifestyle, payed for by the people that adore her for all the wrong reasons. It's pretty obvious the Chapel restorer refuses to work or communicate with Fanny... The 'scaffolding' in the chapel was a small frame, same as Billy was using to paint a wall at his place. Clearly Isobelle has called the chapel restorer and heard first hand what's going on there. Old Fanny is manic when she's lying.
