My husbands late father used to do the motorway recoveries. He towed back The Jam's tour bus one time and they paid by cheque and all signed the back of it. You could ask the bank to return the cheque to you after it had been cashed and my husband asked his Dad to do it and he wouldn't.
No way suggesting that they were poor, but flip it over, they weren't "without having to personally work very hard to achieve whatever they gave their children or, have today", were they wealthy either. Very normal for the UK - as I imagine is the case like everywhere else in the world.
IMHO, just a normal, family scenario.
Much like my own situation/circumstances present day.

Just watching today's Chateau DIY on Channel 4. Builder Ian is back!.... it's from last year and he is starting Gerry's apartment. Makes me feel sad for the way he has been treated as he was a kind father figure to Fanny IMO. That trip to Venice wasnt for two days...she made a lott of vlogs in advance to put out...so they were away longer than two days...she also was amazed by the lavender in the courtyard...also proof they were off longer...to where?? no idea...but no doubt they had a good time..well i dont realy think so..they want us to believe that...like i said before..an empty life is never fullfilling..dine out three days after eachother and you had it...same with lunches and shopping...at least thats how i see it...its just spending to disguse their boredom...i imagine myself to be stuck up with snort for days...the horror..
That chocolat stain scene was a pointing out at us...for sure set in scene..to lett us know they dont care...a duck..yeah right...
I dont see the fun going to Venice...i have been there once..i dont see it...there are many nicer places to visit in Europe..

To come back to foodbanks..i am also involved in one..and yes...when you look at that pair..and their behaviour....you really want to throw them in a dirty smelly Venitian canal..but i guess they will never wake up...as long as those stupid patreons keep paying...the spending on crap continues...its always easier to spend money you didnt had to work for..or save...isnt it?? May i remind you that in the past..people who had an estate also made sure the people were ok...not like someone pointed out here...to take advantage off...a good landlord takes care of his people..and i cant deny there are some who took advantage and didnt take good care..but believe me..most do and did..if not ..the family estate is long gone sold..in the years after the war people had a choice..if they hated us as a family they would all have left...lucky for us, and for themselves, they didnt..

That’s an interesting question! Michael has been caught before…for example, the “dolphin cruise” in Spain with Andrew shortly after he cried poverty. I’m thinking his compulsion is so strong that it overrides his fear of being called out. Or, he really thinks he’s smarter than everyone else and won’t get caught. It’s also possible that he just doesn’t care. The thing is, I don’t fault Michael for wanting to travel. He’s single, gay, and and lives in rural France. I’m sure he craves the company of others like himself. My issue is the duplicity and the feeling he’s hiding things. I’m still not sure exactly who he is, and I’m not sure he knows who he is, either.
