Stuart Folkes has recently completed a 1 month Cordon Bleu cooking school course, so B&B guests are in good hands this summer. 🥂 Being from Texas I imagine Stuart's a meat 🍗🥩 and potato 🍟 kinda gir who enjoys grillin', so it will be interesting to see how she handles Snorty's delicate palette.

13 years on the corporate ladder and Stuart has chucked it all in to spend her summer with Fanny & Co cooking for B&B guests at a remote farmhouse in France. What brings this girl from San Antonio all the way to the shiteau??? 🤔

Stuart apparently has audit experience so perhaps she can help Fanny find the missing accounts. Stuart also has external communications experience so that should be handy for pithy comebacks and deleting comments on various social media accounts. I wonder what Stuart's online alias will be? 🤔

Good luck to Stuart and lets hope she doesn't start grifting, doesn't launch her own vlog and that she and her pussy-cat both escape the shiteau unscathed, emotionally and physically, by year end.
This is an impressive resume. I find it very difficult to believe that she actually wants to cook and live at the dirty dingy farmhouse. Wish someone could clue her in to the reality.

To be fair, she's been there before, so she ought to have a better idea of the reality than most of us here. If she is to stay and cook for B&B guests, I hope she gets paid and she's able to prepare some nice meals for the guests, without having the kitchen constantly invaded by various resident or passing vloggers.

Thank you I didn't realize that she had been there before. Hope she is able to have a nice experience there this time.

So, this Stuart Folkes person....

I don't know what's happening in the rest of the world, but a lot of people her age (and up) really took a hard look at our work life balance during this pandemic and have moved to a less hectic job and lifestyle. Here in the U.S., it's been called "The Great Resignation", where people just up and left their well paying jobs for either no job, a less paying job or maybe even a better paying job?, with benefits like working from home.

Perhaps this is what this young woman is doing? She was at the chateau for a short bit last summer, wasn't she? I recall seeing her maybe once, when she was introduced. She knows what she's in for and apparently is cool with it. Bless her heart.

  • What is wrong with Jason Dubey?
  • Philip has a brother!?! God help us if he's anything like Snorty!!
  • Fanny wants to do a chintz bedroom!?! Although on second thought, that's pretty much Fanny's existing eclectic 'Granny, Queen Marie-Antoinette Louis Seize, shabby, mismatched, stained, farmhouse, flophouse, second-hand, incoherent, dog's breakfast, clashing, tacky, shabby schitc' decorating style.
OMG Jumpsuit Jill commented - I thought she'd disappeared...

Interesting...I was not aware! I, myself, joined The Great Resignation at 58 years old. Not sure what my next move is quite yet but am pretty sure it does not involve a stint as a scullery maid at CLL!

Just this morning, there was a segment on the news about people who did The Great Resignation now really struggling because of inflation - I think they called it "The Great Uh-OH". We're not there yet...but life is definitely different for my husband and I and much less stressful (we both were in outside sales careers)

Sarah did indeed write a nice article promoting her business. Just the right amount of references to their website and YT channel and the name of the Chateau is placed prominently in the article. Unfortunately she doesn't mention the very expensive costs of said workshops in thier maker community.

Or she's part of the cast for the filming. Without any real volunteers maybe Fanny is resorting to hiring them in as extras.

I too joined the Great Resignation. My part time job was lacking and at the suggestion of a dear and wise friend I looked into early retirement. My income from my pension at 62 is almost the same I was making in my pt job. I chose to leave 29 hours of boredom to take care of my elderly mother and her house. Only once have I had second thoughts.
Too many jobs, especially in the US, just are not worth the 40 to 60+ hours per week.
Mom and I live on a budget and have not yet had to do without. Errands are usually done on one day per week. Lists have become our greatest tool. And life is as it should be; enjoyable.

Pardon my ignorance but.. Gerry was ''adopted'' by Stephanie's parents when he was quite young, and grew up in England, right ? Then why does he have a Scottish accent ?
I read somewhere once that, Scotsmans parents worked for IJ and DJ and he was raised with Fanny, as the parents were there everyday , and since she had no siblings, she always called him her brother. I believe the Scotsmans parents may still be alive .

@RIVERA, FRANZ JETHRO D. She recorded this a few weeks ago while on site. She didn't leave the chateau just for this segment. And having money and resources isn't all it takes to do the repairs. One needs labour. And there is a labour shortage in her area. She has been asking for workmen to come, but there aren't any available. She only just got the armoires in there for some badly needed storage space. It's nice and organized now. Why would she turn right around and take them all out again? Doesn't make sense. All old buildings have cracks in the walls. The authorities have to approve such repairs. She can't just do it, willy nilly, because you say so. Plus, there isn't anyone to do it for her at the moment. We understand your concern, but Stephanie has enough sense to do what is right, without endangering anything.

If Oliver Strong and Stephanie Jarvis intend to have a YT travel channel, they are in trouble.
Will Stephanie Jarvis answer Jane's plea and purchase another property in Venice???
Perhaps, Ollie and Stephanie did not want to disclose, Jane Da Mosta's Oxford connection.
Jane Da Mosta and her husband are multi millionaires with a NGO to protect their Venice properties.

The network fosters charitable giving within Europe and allows our supporters to make tax-effective donations.

From the second, 3/28/22 flog comments...
Side note, Diane Hodgett sounds like she could be Camilla Strong. 🤔

This is not the first time the Cartier watch has been mentioned...
Christine brown Do the earrings match your watchband Stephanie?
Chateau Unwrapped! @Christine brown Not purposefully! But they look lovely together. I’m so happy to be wearing my watch again, it needed a new strap and I finally got one in Venice

🚰
Linda Elliott @ Jason Dubey I don’t have a housekeeper I’d have to spray myself and as I avoid all housework wherever possible it has no place here in my home
Jason Dubey I keep a spay bottle in the kitchen filled with Holy Water to spray at the housekeepers at the B&B for when they act up...You should try it!! @Linda Elliott @Chateau Unwrapped!
Jason Dubey @Linda Elliott Can't hurt! Just keep it at hand to randomly spay people at the house..
Linda Elliott @ Jason Dubey if I spray my visitors with water they’ll think I’ve gon bonkers oh well maybe that might be right
Jason Dubey @Chateau Unwrapped! Hi Stephanie! Keep a secret spray bottle with Holy Water in it to squirt at people randomly, and make sure the bottle is labeled Holy Water...trust me..it's so funny
Jason Dubey @Linda Elliott You have to wait for just the right moment, like when someone makes a bad joke, or says something really sick and off...
Jason Dubey @Linda Elliott use it on your spouse or pets if you have to...LOL
Jason Dubey @Linda Elliott Trust me....at just the right moment it's a hoot

🥂
Jason Dubey Day drinking??

LaReyne It's a shame when commerce rips the soul out of a place
Chateau Unwrapped! @LaReyne What commerce? None of these gifts/drinks/etc are sponsorer
LaReyne @Chateau Unwrapped Referring to the commercialisation of Venice driving out local folk...

Philip Janssen @Sidonie Jansson I love surprising her!
LaReyne Wish I could wash those mucky patches but the paint would probably disappear
Chateau Unwrapped! LaReyne That’s my fear, too, as the original paint is water soluble

Lisa Akinlabi Do you have a brother who may be single to share @Philip Janssen I like presents LOL
Philip Janssen @Lisa Akinlabi Not one who’s single I’m afraid

Linda Elliott I love that … I know you don’t do chintz @ Chateau Unwrapped Steph , but I love those colours

My spidey sense questions whether this actually happened. Does anyone really care these days if you are or arent wearing a mask? I wear mine in crowded/public situations.
There is just something too pouty about her post that screams "Look at me I want attention "
SHE GOT COVID over X-MAS at the Shitoo!!!! Everyone had IT!! Then others went to Venice and GOT IT AGAIN!!!! THEN Snorts drove to the NetherRegions- transmitted it to this Doofus- promptly drove back- and was lying abed with a “cold”. He only sprang to life to “rescue” his LadyLove from possible penetration in the woods. Everyone, please, have a seat!!
