Exactly right. When I used to do photoshoots (way back when), the clothes were held together at the back with bulldog clips, and occasionally gaffer tape.
Found this illustration once in a catalogue......

Do you think that the lady runs in circles when you wind her up?

Where did she put all that stuff that was in the room which has now been cleared out for the china pantry? Move it up to the attic? SJ just moves crap from place to place.

Here's a shot of the dirty kitchen kettle!

I'm so confused... this place offers bed and breakfast, along with dinners. We've seen the pantry, the kitchen and the mouse faeces, does the local council not do a health and safety inspection? Any intel as to how we can alert the local authorities to the health hazards captured on film?

Dan started the work when Fanny wasn’t there to overrule him. If he stops working on the pantry how does he/she explain that to viewers, so Fanny has to go along with Dan finishing the pantry and pretend that she’s directing the project.

FRK placed this as an advertisement on her IG stories...

I rewatched when she showed her red dining room from 2019.
1. She has material to make curtains but not completed, it’s 2022.
2. Wanted mirrors on wall. She just threw them away in attic clear out.
3. SJ put electricity to ceiling during renovation. Later when Snorty added chandelier they complained it was not centered. She put it there!
I love that Dan is getting something finished, I liked when Thomas cleaned the laundry room. Action, complete something with all that money, again shame on you SJ.

There is another downstairs loo through a door in the winter salon (I think it's beside the fireplace and behind where the large Christmas tree is usually placed). I recall Fanny saying the toilet is not used and needs to be fixed, although in a video I recall seeing a chap come out of it - so who knows. Just another thing that doesn't work properly at the shittoo, and of course Fanny would buy a sink years before she plans to install it.

Have you forgotten the awful Wedgwood project? Finishing something, just for the sake of finally achieving something on TV, well it isn't always the best option, if it's done by SJ. I'd say, she should stay in London and hire a project manager for a while... but then she can't sell her chateloonie image to her worshippers, and even they might get bored of her girly-giggling trying-on-dresses sessions (better option for this, e.g. the Clueless movie)

Men love that crap!
We have a store called Bunnings Warehouse my husband Loves it !!! Hates shopping but adores Bunnings !
Lowest prices are just the beginning my man loves it too. Would never set foot in any store but Bunnings! Actually Total Tools is the big favourite

Agree with you in all points but the copper basin will go into the loo behind the winter salon, she even says it in that video.
It's a small 2 piece guest loo in the winter salon. Surely it wouldn't take much to make the loo functional and install a new basin.
Just do it Fanny - you have the money to do it!

It’s seem to be the norm that people buy homes in foreign countries without any due diligence and without learning the language and actually get irate that the inhabitants don’t speak English. We watched one program where a couple bought a hole that was excavated under a Spanish subdivision under the misguided idea that they were buying a cave dwelling

You are correct.
These comments from 12/21. I do believe that the problem is frozen toilet water. This strange answer from SJ is very telling.
Funny, Tallulah P was asking about dishes in the attic.

Question: do you worry about the china cracking and checking in the cold?

No, I’ve never worried about it. I’ve never seen it crack from cold (except if in contact with water such as a toilet if the water in it freezes)

I thought that too, not expecting a huge display of PDA but a simple response with a 'see you later' would have been kinder rather than a look of mild annoyance. Very disappointed.

re :health controls :

(a) Le consommateur constatant ce qui lui semble être une anomalie, par exemple dans la chaîne du chaud ou dans l'état de propreté de l'établissement, peut en informer deux services de contrôles officiels en matière d'hygiène et de sécurité alimentaire :

> la direction départementale de la protection des populations (DDPP) : cette structure rassemble depuis 2010 les agents de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes ainsi que des services vétérinaires. Parmi ses nombreuses missions, la DDPP veille à la sécurité alimentaire du consommateur à tous les stades de la filière ;
> la direction départementale de la cohésion sociale et de la protection des populations (DDCSPP).

(b) Lors du contrôle sanitaire de l'établissement, si l'inspecteur constate effectivement un ou plusieurs manquements aux règles d’hygiène ou aux bonnes pratiques d’hygiène alimentaire, il peut décider des sanctions suivantes :

-mise en demeure : le responsable se voit notifier l'obligation de corriger les manquements ou défauts mineurs dans un délai précis ;
-procès-verbal : des infractions graves sont constatées, pouvant entraîner la saisie des denrées impropres à la consommation humaine. Un procès-verbal est établi et transmis au procureur de la République ;
-Fermeture administrative : cette décision à application immédiate fait suite aux constats gravissimes que peuvent relever les services de l'Etat. Des suites administratives et pénales sont alors généralement engagées à l'encontre du responsable de l'établissement en question.

roughly : seeing sth wrong (food, kitchen ....), you could ask for an inspection (all premises, fridges ....) > DDPP of Indre
(b) = sentence & fine

Either way it's not his call. He's hired to do certain jobs and I read the fact that he chose to do something else as a sign of his undue involvement with her HMN. Like I said, I've seen it happen over and over again, people thinking they can decide what needs doing in her shittoo. It never ends well.

I did not say it was done without her knowledge, I said it wasn't on her list of priorities. There's a huge difference.

Dan, I hope Stephanie is remunerating you fairly for all the work you do, you’re doing an amazing job on the pantry at lala lande Certainly putting your many talents to use and have done so much more than anyone would have expected. I hope Philippe joins the hard workers like you and Amaury and helps out with maintenance/ repairs and Reno’s upon his return.

Afforded myself another little titter this morning. I have been interested as to what The One Ball Wonder would have as a job description in the 17th century French Court. I knew that there was a 'pis boy' who wandered about carrying a bucket for the elites, but on reading the toilet practices that existed at the time, was an eye opener, or should I say nostril opener. They basically emptied their orifices where they stood in the chateaux, surrounded by opulence. Maybe that explains Fannys shitty yellow bedspread and dying box hedges. It was common for the ladies of the court not to wear any knickers, in order to make 'toiletting' more simple. Well done Fanny for continuing age old traditions.
