Dan started the work when Fanny wasn’t there to overrule him. If he stops working on the pantry how does he/she explain that to viewers, so Fanny has to go along with Dan finishing the pantry and pretend that she’s directing the project.I fail to see why anyone thinks that the pantry is a suprise to Steph or done without her knowledge ? In at least two of these vlogs Dan says he has discussed with Steph wall finishes, "the girls" helping, clearing it out etc.etc. Steph is only in SA, at the other end of the phone, she has not gone to the Moon with no communication, she will want to know what is going on with her pile and that her chateau is still getting air time or fans might all forget about it and loose interest or even worse search You Tube for alternative vlogs whilst she swans off, she knows that would be tragic.
I can see that it was probably Dans idea from when asked to do cooking there as Fanny does not see these things.

I rewatched when she showed her red dining room from 2019.Interesting that, in that video, she showed a small copper basin that she said was going to be put in the downstairs loo that hadn't yet been done at the time. It didn't eventually go in there so I suspect that, like everything else, she'd forgotten she had it. She is constantly buying new things as she forgets what she had stored for a specific purpose. I know that wasn't a gift but the gift givers are mad if they believe her when she says what she is going to do with their gifts. She'll just forget about them as she does with all the stuff she's bought in the past. She will never change. She's probably wasted thousands buying stuff that is then stored somewhere and forgotten about and replaced with new purchases. She certainly knows how to get rid of ,money and, as has been pointed out, the YT income appears to stretch a very long way if it covers all the salaries plus the rest of what makes up her lifestyle. I am surprised her accountant has not had a breakdown trying to conceal what seems pretty obvious to us!

Have you forgotten the awful Wedgwood project? Finishing something, just for the sake of finally achieving something on TV, well it isn't always the best option, if it's done by SJ. I'd say, she should stay in London and hire a project manager for a while... but then she can't sell her chateloonie image to her worshippers, and even they might get bored of her girly-giggling trying-on-dresses sessions (better option for this, e.g. the Clueless movie)I rewatched when she showed her red dining room from 2019.
1. She has material to make curtains but not completed, it’s 2022.
2. Wanted mirrors on wall. She just threw them away in attic clear out.
3. SJ put electricity to ceiling during renovation. Later when Snorty added chandelier they complained it was not centered. She put it there!
I love that Dan is getting something finished, I liked when Thomas cleaned the laundry room. Action, complete something with all that money, again shame on you SJ.

The visa process was set off course by government delays due to current restrictions, but it is now back on track! We will post another video explaining our experience and everything we know about the process of Americans getting French visas. We hope to be approved this spring and then officially move to Puy Vidal as soon as possible!

Great question! Unfortunately you can’t get any kind of French visa and work for an American company. So she will have to choose between having extended vacations in France while working, get a tech job for a French company, or working at the chateau. Having a tech job in a company with a French branch to would be the smoothest transition for her and anyone else considering the move

I thought that too, not expecting a huge display of PDA but a simple response with a 'see you later' would have been kinder rather than a look of mild annoyance. Very disappointed.My issue with Dan is that he refers to others like Stephanie and Amaury a lot more than Annaliese, and with more warmth. I think the snippet he left in of her saying goodbye was disgusting, could he manage to crack a smile at the mother of his children or give her a friendly farewell? No, he was very short with her interrupting his important vlogging, but still thought it suitable to include it to flesh out the storyline of forgetting to go to school.
I dunno I just don't get the sense he treats her well and if he does he needs to balance out the way he's shown relating to others with how he relates to her, even if it's just speaking about her positively on occasion. I don't wanna watch someone who prioritises their own interests over the family and does a shoddy job of caring for his children on the occasions he's in the driver's seat.

I'm so confused... this place offers bed and breakfast, along with dinners. We've seen the pantry, the kitchen and the mouse faeces, does the local council not do a health and safety inspection? Any intel as to how we can alert the local authorities to the health hazards captured on film?

Either way it's not his call. He's hired to do certain jobs and I read the fact that he chose to do something else as a sign of his undue involvement with her HMN. Like I said, I've seen it happen over and over again, people thinking they can decide what needs doing in her shittoo. It never ends well.I think Dan was motivated to clean up the pantry because he was so disgusted with it when cooking at the shitoo. Notice how he often prepped the food at his place and just brought it over to the shitoo for final prep before plating up. The pantry wasn’t on SJ’s to-do list, but it was on Dan’s. Also, it’s cold out and probably he found it too hard to lift the wooden beams for the pergola by himself, so Dan decided to do the pantry instead when SJ couldn’t interrupt and drag him off to do something else.
