Sorry I completely forgot to reply re Edinburgh recommendations!

Brewhemia is good and a great location, just next to Waverley Station. They have acts/shows on quite regularly too.

I haven’t been personally, but have heard great things about the Frankenstein Bar. Gothic vibes and in an old cathedral I believe. Very spooky/autumnal I imagine!

Black Ivy if you’re looking for something a bit more fancy but still affordable. Same for Tigerlily and Copper Blossom.

Bonnie & Wild in St James Quarter is like an indoor market type venue. Quite a few different food choices and a decent selection of cocktails. Great choice if you’re with someone or a group who all want something different.

Cold Town House. Great rooftop bar (although small) overlooking the castle. They have 2 other floors as well and outdoor space but it’s always jam packed so booking in advance is a must. Great pub style food (think loaded fries).

There’s honestly loads of places to choose from. These are the first few that spring to mind but will mention more as I remember☺
Another vote for Frankenstein. Great themed bar, very atmospheric. The Alchemist or The Cauldron for cocktails/masterclasses too. Bar Soba is nice if you like Korean street food.

@xbxbx has basically covered all bases. It’s a great city to visit especially this time of year (and I say that as a proud Weegie) 😂

One of my fave things to do is a walk in the woods, perfect about an hour before sunset.
Will definitely be doing this, and if I’m not half dead in the morning, I’ll try an early morning walk when it’s nice and crisp!

Can i just ask are Uggs still a thing nowadays or are they a bit 2010?! I had a nostalgia moment of Autumn in Uggs! They were so comfy and easy to throw on with leggings and a long thick cardi

Wear whatever you want. I curse getting rid of my lovely slouch boots because someone told me they weren’t in fashion anymore. If you want to wear uggs, wear uggs.

I’m on the hunt for some bannister battery powered lights. This is now my mission and the only thing from not killing my coworkers at the moment.

It's cool and rainy here today so I just made a big batch of stewed apples and had some with Greek yogurt, bliss.

The evenings are slowly getting darker too, just ordered a new 140cm square scarf, a family of five could live it in it's so big.

For anyone with access to The White Company. I smelled their Autumn and Oakmoss scents (they didn’t have the 3rd one)

The Oakmoss is SO good. I bought the smaller candle as that’s all they had, smells like a warm pub with leather chairs and a crackling fire.
Autumn was really disappointing. It was so fruity and not Woody at all.

However each to their own (noses!).

Ooh I like the sound of both! I’ve got my eye on these as well

That wreath is lovely BUT we had one like that and it was a cobweb/spider/dust magnet - just FYI. A total pain to try and keep it clean, tried hoovering it using the low setting but it just fell apart in the end (it wasn't a White Stuff one, but very similar made of dried grasses).

So glad I’ve found this thread - Autumn is just the best. Love all the Autumn-y home inspo pictures too. Bring on September! 🍁🍂🎇🔥

Purchased a deep red handbag and large body hugging shape winter blanket scarf that arrived today. Definitely feeling the autumn creep in and these new items I'm in love with. Theyll be great for the busy October we have planned.
Last night it got really dark early and when we left the swimming pool at 8.45pm it was definitely wintery. Dark sky, a cool wind blowing off the sea and strings of lights shining strung up between the street lights 🧡loved it

I absolutely love summer but I have to say I am so looking forward to autumn. It's been feeling autumnal the last couple of days and I am so in love with it. The last bit of seasonal decoration I bought was for autumn last year so I'm happy to dig it all out and give my flat an upgrade!

Because we have a small flat and kitchen, as much as I love a summer salad, I love being able to do a one-pot stew or casserole or curry and let it cook for hours til the meat falls off the bone and the potatoes soak up the flavours. I live near an AONB and my favourite thing to do is go on a long walk, rain or shine, collect conkers and pinecones, and go for a pub lunch to have a roast somewhere with the fireplace crackling. Coming home as the sun sets and rallying myself to make an apple crumble or pumpkin pie, showering as it bakes, snuggling up under a blanket, not because I'm freezing, but just because it's a tiny bit chilly. Heaven!!

Apple crumble and pumpkin pie sound divine! Does anyone have a nice pumpkin pie recipe? I've never made it before, but have always wanted to try make one. I've started to watch my autumnal TV shows and movies - I'm excited to bring out my decorative pumpkins and pine cones soon!

I highly recommend the Yankee Cinnamon Stick candle for autumn. It just encapsulates the season so well.

I love my uggs. I brought the shorter ones last year that kinda sit at your ankle…. Love them! Can’t wait to get back to wearing them!
Wear whatever makes you happy!

Next have some lovely Halloween decorations in. I bought one of those mini twig trees earlier this year (did an Easter tree) and I’ve just got some Halloween baubles and pumpkin lights from there. Determined to make more of an effort around the house this year! 🎃🍂

They are the ones I was looking at. I'm definitely going to order a pair on payday🤩
