I think she can't bear the idea that he'll just drift away and leave her, as stated by her resistance to turning off the ventilator, I think she sees it as a form of abandonment. Hayden's ruling on the mother-son dynamic was very enlightening.

My wee one was so I’ll when he was born. I got ‘the talk’ so many times. I couldn’t accept it. Every little positive sign was mammoth in my eyes. I had started to go to a church when pregnant (had been told to expect worse whilst preggers) and they had been hyped up on religion and God. But one day it hit me- was I keeping him alive for me or for him? The interventions were horrendous. He wasn’t brain damaged, just a hopeless physical situation. But his consultant was amazing. All the team were. In the end my little one has survived against all odds. (10!) I do understand wanting to keep them alive and feel for his mum but you do get to a point when you think is this right? I can’t fault the NHS. when it comes to kids they are amazing. My wee one has been all around the country. They have corresponded with doctors around the world. They never want a child to die. But she needs to let go and stop funds being used that could help other kids.

And the black out challenge is not hanging. It’s holding pressure points on your neck and was popular a few years ago

I posted a week or so back about that challenge and its not the same one people here keep talking about or it is but moved onto other things

I'm not saying Archie did this but it is a thing.

An albeit small portion of the discussion of this horrific case has turned to people’s personal opinion on sex work. Even if Hollie Dance was on the street corners every night (which she wasn’t), it’s nothing to do with how good of a parent she was to Archie.

Archie's medical care & the appeals also have nothing to do with whether his injuries were caused by sucicide or not.

The people in the groups on Facebook that are tattooing Archie’s name and making wrist bands etc are absolutely sick in the head. Hollie is obviously going through the worse thing a parent could ever go through, she’s vulnerable and not thinking rationally.

She’s blaming a Tik-Tok challenge because that’s easier than accepting that her 12 year old took he’s own life, weather intentionally or for attention.

The thing about him putting a rabbit in a bag clearly shows that he was mentally unwell, by 12 he should understand that the rabbit would suffocate. Again, was this a way of getting attention?

I feel sorry for Archie and his family, it’s such a waste of precious life.

I do hope one of Hollies friends or a family member would sit down with her and properly go through the accident and explain Archie’s injuries and sadly there is no coming back. She needs someone around her who can put aside their feelings and think rationally.

The sickos on these Facebook groups are giving Hollie false hope, I truly do understand that she would cling onto anything in the hope that her son will “wake up” but it just isn’t possible😪

I do disagree with her blaming the doctors, there number 1 priority would be to save Archie and give him the best care possible.

I live 5 minutes from the Royal London Hospital and as an out patient I know first hand that the doctors and nurses and other staff that I have come into contact with have been absolutely brilliant, they are professional and caring and really are a credit to our NHS.

The whole situation is incredibly sad and I hope Hollie finds the strength to do what’s in Archie’s best interest. Let the poor boy be put to rest and Hollie and her family can find comfort in each other and begin there grieving process.

A bit of Nutella should bring him back to life

bleeping hell they have 1 brain cell between them. He has a breathing tube, he will have dysphagia and can't swallow anyway so the Nutella will go into his lungs causing aspiration pneumonia. Thank god he is brain stem dead as at least the poor little guy can't feel anything.

These people commenting this shite have been brainwashed by Hollywood movies into thinking that the smell or sound of something will have coma patients jumping out of bed and doing cartwheels the minute they wake up, or that dead people (Archie) can spring back from similar treatment. They don’t think to do one second of research, and then go on to share their redundant opinions of medical care to thousands of other imbeciles on Facebook.

I've just watched Hollie's latest interview on YouTube. She's got a new theory. Archie may have tripped and landed with the cord around his neck.

She also says the doctors state he's deteriorating. Hollie thinks the opposite and he's showing signs of improvement. Says the nurses are "brilliant" so it's obviously the doctors she's just got the beef with.

She also says the feeds were stopped but then she had "people in" who told them to restart the feeds. Archie has grown body hair. When she queried this, she was told it was due to malnutrition. She seemed surprised that the doctors admitted to this. She just doesn't get the actual reason why he's malnourished, does she?

She still wants her own doctors, ie, quacks, to come and assess him. It seems like the fact that this request has not been granted, will be the crux of her grounds for appeal.

I understand why she might feel she needs an independent paediatric intensivist but to get what she wants from them they'd have to be a crook.

I wonder what she's not getting about the scans. Is it the language being used, can denial be that deep? I've been of the mind that she's just too intellectually challenged to make sense of it but I'm not sure that's it either.

I don't understand why the media is entertaining her anymore. They must know his brain has no circulation, no oxygen, no activity.

Tabloid reporting is all very well on This Morning, but news channels? Where's the journalism? I think if this was presented with sympathy towards Hollie, but at least a nod to the fact his brain stem is in his lumbar region and his brain has no blood flow would go a long way to re establishing faith in the judiciary and educating the general public. Reporting the court case NOT HOLLIE.

obviously these things are posted by idiots still believing he is in a coma, because smells , voices etc can have a effect on the senses. But I really don't understand why these families are not allowed to bring in their own found (Qualified) experts to do their own tests, if trust is lost, then why cant they just do this so the families of these children feel they have been heard?
The royal London have already brought in independent neurologists. As would be expected in the circumstances. They were unanimous in their verdict that Archie had un-survivable injuries and was most probably brain stem dead. Hollies independent expert was a US religious quack who doesn't believe in brain death, he didn't even personally examine Archie or see his scans. Hollie will probably look for more US quacks as she won't find any mainstream British neurologists who will back her up.

This will take time to fly someone in and examine him while his body deteriorates more. The outcome will be the same, it shouldn't be allowed.

I wholly disagree on sex work not affecting her parenting. Other parents would know if she was, Archie would absolutely have had children comment on it.

There are lots of alleged rumours again today on other sites including Hollie already under caution by the police who obviously aren’t going to fo anything while she is in this position.

The fact he was expelled from school and wasn’t placed anywhere for two years indicates that things were clearly far from ok at home.

Again - doesn’t mean Hollie deserved to find herself in this situation but let’s not gloss over the fact that as an adult she made life choices that had an effect on a child’s home life. There has been a lot of violence and drama all through his short life.

Yes to this @Weeder
I don’t watch television much at all, to be honest. I’m surprised that she’s been on television shows such as This Morning. I’m not sure what purpose this serves - are the shows producers trying to get support for her to keep Archie going, by keeping him in the public consciousness or is there another reason? One way or another I think it is giving her false hope. She’s understandably very distressed at the moment, as most parents would be. I think by giving her air space, very sadly, it isn’t helping to manage her expectations. In fact I’d go as far as to say it is giving her false hope. Just the other day the decision in the court case about Archie came up as a BREAKING NEWS from BBC alert on my phone, which is quite unfathomable to me if I’m completely honest.

It’s fuelling her belief that she is at war with the Hospital and thinking there is a chance she could win. She continued to appeal her own assault conviction until it was changed from a three month prison sentence to community service. This woman likes to fight - but this isn’t a war.

Last night she posted a 4min long video of her at his bedside. Explaining his condition, the infusions, ventilator and treatments he had yesterday. Treatments included flashing coloured lights in his eyes, putting honey on his tongue, massages, and more sensory things.

Just hope the bedside Nurse doesn’t get in trouble when someone finds her patient with honey lodged in the ETT. They’ll be suctioning that back out for days.

How does being out of school for 2 years indicate anything about his home life?

She also fought her local authorities until she got him back into a school.
That's normal life for us in the Sen community, it's not something any of us want to do.

She still seems completely deluded about the whole situation doesn't she? In the interview, she mentions how she would look after him, even if he's "disabled". He's obviously way beyond that.

She also still fixated on this neck lump, as if that's having some bearing on his current state. The Army have decided "that don't look right hun" so she's running with it. Strange how she never makes any comment on the fact that his brain and now his lungs are rotting.

She refers to "thousands" of people who have come out of a vegetative state, seemingly fuelled by the second-hand accounts she read on Facebook of someone's auntie waking up after being in a coma.

Oh and it's all down to the NHS wanting to save money. It's not about the money Hollie, it's about the resources. He's depriving a child with a chance of life from that bed, and from the specialist doctors, and the 2:1 nursing care. She also throws in the classic "I've paid into the system" argument, which obviously means that Archie should therefore be entitled to prolonged treatment.

Just massive, massive levels of delusion all round.

The thing about him being out of school and her fighting the LA to get another school place is not all that uncommon. I home educate my children and this kind of thing pops up daily on Facebook home ed groups, usually children with SEN (which I believe Archie has?). She was absolutely right to appeal to the LA and get him an appropriate school placement, I would have been more concerned if she hadn’t fought for him.

Regarding having her own medical experts being able to come to assess Archie. I understand the want but the only ones who would do this are total quacks, look at the last one who hadn’t even seen him or his recent scans. If you read the court documents it lists the multiple experts who have been involved in his case who have all reached the same conclusion.
