Yes he was in the Royal London on Whitechapel roadHaving had a day to think about it, I'm sure HD is running on rage and adrenalin which would explain a lot of her behaviour, incl the press conference yesterday. This was me last year after watching my mum die of a brain tumour (the death rattle breathing stage lasted 2 long, horrible weeks which left me ptsd) and my then 12yo son having a full and complete breakdown. I didn't blame the hospital or accuse people of murder but I was filled with rage at the "professionals" at school and in CAHMS that had let my son down so badly and ran on adrenalin for a good few years dealing with both things. I got help last year and am loads better now.
So I do get it. I can see how she can come across as callous. I'm sure she isn't entirely. I'm sure she loves him and is devastated. Blaming the medics etc postpones the point at which she has to face herself. It is wrong but I can understand the thought process.
Her shocking behaviour aside, I have huge sympathy for her. Now she has to go home to where it happened, to an empty house filled with him and live with the fact that if she'd taken him seriously the first time, he'd still be alive. I can't imagine how hard that is.
Anyway, I'm going to stop waffling. I want yo send a card to the docs and nurses in PICU. Was it The Royal London he was in?
Thanks.
