(It's sad that the well-intentioned albeit gullible and misguided members of the charity have fallen for their ruse without further scrutiny.)

I don't think anyone goes from a happy, carefree child to depressed and suicidal upon viewing some images though - they'd probably already be in that state of mind to be looking at that stuff.

Sure, but social media was found to be a significant contributer and this has led to changes in legislation regarding content about self harm and suicidal ideation.

Just pointing out that this would be a better avenue for HD to direct her energies to, if it was found to be a suicide, and that he had been viewing such content.

HD is playing the victim card, and the media/public simply lap it up

So I've just discovered this thread (and previous ones) here on Tattle, after following Archie's case for several weeks now, and seeking an alternative discussion forum to make sense of this case. Something never sat right, having read and listened to HD's account of events, and I smelled bull from the outset. For the record, I have a background (degrees/training) in law, psychiatry, and body language. Putting two and two together - observing HD's body language, comparing her various (conflicting and contradictory) accounts of what happened to Richie, and analyzing court documents - it struck me that HD was at the very least hiding something; and worse, peddling complete falsehoods and fabrications.

This past week, the media have painted HD as a loving yet distraught and grief-stricken mother fighting till the very end for her son. However, the extreme/extraordinary lengths to which the family have gone to "save" Archie - widely praised in the press as determination and devotion - actually looks a lot more like overcompensation.

HD is guilt-ridden - and is probably aware of it on some level (denial and all) - and as such is now going above and beyond to: (a) make it up to Archie, in death (having failed him, in life); and (b) prove to the world (and herself too, in all likelihood) that she is indeed a good mother. Unfortunately for her, those of us with a few brain cells can smell a rat.

No wonder the family swiftly converted to Christianity after finding Archie unconscious (or more accurately, on the brink of death). They are trying to process - and diminish - their guilt. And now, it's pretty obvious they're just exploiting the charity Christian Concern for funds, kudos, and publicity to further their own selfish and warped interests. (It's sad that the well-intentioned albeit gullible and misguided members of the charity have fallen for their ruse without further scrutiny.) Besides, if the family are genuinely Christian, they ought to take comfort in the fact that Archie is now in a better place. Why hold onto his soul in a rotting, mortal body in this world? What - and whose - purpose does this serve?

HD's undignified behavior - intemperate comments about the hospital staff who have worked tirelessly around the clock on what is essentially a lost cause, and accusing judges applying the law of being executioners - is utterly despicable and ultimately conceited. She has weaponized the country's sympathy/grief for Archie against medical professioners who have done their utmost to accommodate her unreasonable and nonsensical demands. How utterly reprehensible and diabolical.

And just think of the astronomical costs and countless hours spent on this singular case (to no avail), when there are scores of patients - who are actually alive - waiting in line for medical attention.

HD may be a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but she is cunning enough to channel victimhood culture to milk the public's sympathy and tug on their heartstrings. This vile woman is a total narcissist; even after Archie was confirmed dead on 6 August 2022 (although we know he died months ago), HD offers the following statement: "I know I’ve done a very good job being Archie’s mum. Based on my own childhood I was very determined to be as good a mother as I can possibly be and I feel like I have done that to the very best of my ability. Even in her son's death, HD makes it out to be all about her - as if she's the real victim here - and tries way too hard to convince the world how wonderful a mother she is.

At a point in recent history when trust in authority is at an all-time low, we could really do without (in most cases) competent, hardworking, and dedicated members of the medical and legal professions being undermined – left, right, and centre (and yes, that was a political pun too). Everyone loses when this happens. What an absolute clusterfuck.
