One thing that has crossed my mind …. If all trust was lost with the medical team looking after Archie atThe RLH … surely the family would have been entitled to seek a second opinion?

Does anyone know if she did this?

Would it be something that was actually offered before the Trust first took the case to court?
I think sometimes people don’t really understand or appreciate the decision making processes in hospitals.
In general, but especially in cases like this, treatment decisions are made by teams of health care professionals. In the decision making process for Archie, many specialities will have been involved - neurosurgeons, neuroradiographers, intensive care consultants and many, many more. These decisions are not taken in isolation. They will have spent a very long time discussing all of this before turning to the family to explain it.
It is perhaps difficult, if you’ve never had experience of ICU, to appreciate how many disciplines are involved in making decisions.
They don’t make these decisions lightly.

Thanks for pointing this out. What's their agenda/endgame in funding this shitshow?
If I recall correctly they are linked to far right anti abortion groups in America and they want a legal judgment that a heart beating = 'being alive' which would basically underlie an argument for banning abortion (as babies in the womb have heartbeats but are not recognised as legal 'persons' in this jurisdiction)

This is it exactly. Their agenda is far-reaching, and far more sinister than they lead folk to believe.

No, his actual account has been DFE'd. There are references and screen-shots over on the Other Site. Honestly, if anyone has questions regarding the medicolegal background of this, start there. They have receipts. Sources. And not the ketchup kind. ☮
Whats the other site?

GOSH had that amazing documentary series a few years ago (it might be longer than I remember - I blame age, and lack of caffeine) that really helped show the public the huge amount of care that goes into the decision-making processes of treating seriously ill and terminal children. It was an amazing series, and I thoroughly recommend a watch.

(assuming it's available to stream somewhere, somehow)

Does anyone know which interview HD discussed the day prior when his sister intervened in another potential suicide attempt? Or him having been supervised that night? Would be interested to see that as there’s v little / patchy info regarding this.
Its in here about 5 minutes in. I dont think they realised what he was doing at the time.

HD is playing the victim card, and the media/public simply lap it up

So I've just discovered this thread (and previous ones) here on Tattle, after following Archie's case for several weeks now, and seeking an alternative discussion forum to make sense of this case. Something never sat right, having read and listened to HD's account of events, and I smelled bull from the outset. For the record, I have a background (degrees/training) in law, psychiatry, and body language. Putting two and two together - observing HD's body language, comparing her various (conflicting and contradictory) accounts of what happened to Richie, and analyzing court documents - it struck me that HD was at the very least hiding something; and worse, peddling complete falsehoods and fabrications.

This past week, the media have painted HD as a loving yet distraught and grief-stricken mother fighting till the very end for her son. However, the extreme/extraordinary lengths to which the family have gone to "save" Archie - widely praised in the press as determination and devotion - actually looks a lot more like overcompensation.

HD is guilt-ridden - and is probably aware of it on some level (denial and all) - and as such is now going above and beyond to: (a) make it up to Archie, in death (having failed him, in life); and (b) prove to the world (and herself too, in all likelihood) that she is indeed a good mother. Unfortunately for her, those of us with a few brain cells can smell a rat.

No wonder the family swiftly converted to Christianity after finding Archie unconscious (or more accurately, on the brink of death). They are trying to process - and diminish - their guilt. And now, it's pretty obvious they're just exploiting the charity Christian Concern for funds, kudos, and publicity to further their own selfish and warped interests. (It's sad that the well-intentioned albeit gullible and misguided members of the charity have fallen for their ruse without further scrutiny.) Besides, if the family are genuinely Christian, they ought to take comfort in the fact that Archie is now in a better place. Why hold onto his soul in a rotting, mortal body in this world? What - and whose - purpose does this serve?

HD's undignified behavior - intemperate comments about the hospital staff who have worked tirelessly around the clock on what is essentially a lost cause, and accusing judges applying the law of being executioners - is utterly despicable and ultimately conceited. She has weaponized the country's sympathy/grief for Archie against medical professioners who have done their utmost to accommodate her unreasonable and nonsensical demands. How utterly reprehensible and diabolical.

And just think of the astronomical costs and countless hours spent on this singular case (to no avail), when there are scores of patients - who are actually alive - waiting in line for medical attention.

HD may be a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but she is cunning enough to channel victimhood culture to milk the public's sympathy and tug on their heartstrings. This vile woman is a total narcissist; even after Archie was confirmed dead on 6 August 2022 (although we know he died months ago), HD offers the following statement: "I know I’ve done a very good job being Archie’s mum. Based on my own childhood I was very determined to be as good a mother as I can possibly be and I feel like I have done that to the very best of my ability. It’s one of the reasons I am here" (see: https://metro.co.uk/2022/08/06/arch...m-says-she-did-everything-she-could-17137610/). Even in her son's death, HD makes it out to be all about her - as if she's the real victim here - and tries way too hard to convince the world how wonderful a mother she is.

At a point in recent history when trust in authority is at an all-time low, we could really do without (in most cases) competent, hardworking, and dedicated members of the medical and legal professions being undermined – left, right, and centre (and yes, that was a political pun too). Everyone loses when this happens. What an absolute clusterfuck.
ITA! Very eloquently and comprehensively put!
I think that it's possible that HD's attitude and anger that has been towards the NHS, is a deflection away from what she doesn't want people/press looking at.
How did Archie end up with a ligature around his neck? Was it the 'Tiktok' challenge? Or was it a suicide attempt?
Personally, if this had been my child, in this situation, my anger would have been directed towards Tiktok, not the NHS. You would not have been able to shut me up about accountability of social media, reforms to social media, and demanding the govt get involved with this etc etc.
HD has NOT gone down this route. Forgive me for my very suspicious mind. All the while that Archie was still 'alive', the attention was not being directed to the cause of this awful situation.
If Archie tried to hang himself, or if it was a cry for attention, then the focus will be on why issues with his mental health not picked up and dealt with by HD. Was he seen by his sister playing with a cord attached to a door gob (or similar) the day before the incident happened? If so, did HD know?
NO, let's focus our attention on the awful murderous, barbaric executioners in the NHS!!

Yes - and to be clear you can detect electrical activity of tissue that will become the heart at 6 weeks pregnant - they term this a "heartbeat".

Because the earliest a pregnancy can be confirmed is at 4 weeks (even if you were actively trying to concive via IVF), this would give girls/women 2 weeks to have a termination, if they knew they were pregnant immediately.

Putting this law into place would effectively make it near impossible for most girls/women to have a termination, with catastrophic outcomes.

Christian Concern also isn’t a charity, it’s a not for profit company

I also thought they were a charity because of the donation stuff but ah
Well this is demoralizing. I generally try and give the benefit of the doubt to any person/organization that (allegedly) engages in charitable work.

Then again, giving donations and whatnot could well be a façade and calculated misdirection. (One word: Savile.)

Sure, but social media was found to be a significant contributer and this has led to changes in legislation regarding content about self harm and suicidal ideation.

Just pointing out that this would be a better avenue for HD to direct her energies to, if it was found to be a suicide, and that he had been viewing such content.
You only get "bombarded" with things that you've started to look up though, so there has to be an interest. My instagram recommended page is pretty much all cats, for example, because once you start looking at a few things it starts to recommend more and more and if you stay interested you keep being shown.

For sure, but I'm just pointing out SM was found to have played a significant role in her suicide. If it hadn't there wouldn't have been this huge campaign and changes in legislation.

If a child looks up a self harm image (which could be for a multitude of reasons), now instead of an alogorithm leading them to more and more material, they're directed to helplines etc. Not sure how anyone could see this as anything but a good thing.

As I said, this would only be relevant if proven to be a suicide, and if SM was found to be involved in this way. My original point was simply that HD seems to want a fight - and this would be far more productive and logical than targeting the hospital or "challenges" that have no proof of existing.

Screenshot from TheDibb (disney planning website!) of someone who knew Archie when he was younger. Sounds like there is a long history involving authorities:

Unfortunately I think most of Hollie's life so far has been about "the fight". This won't be any different.

I don't think anyone goes from a happy, carefree child to depressed and suicidal upon viewing some images though - they'd probably already be in that state of mind to be looking at that stuff.
He wasn't happy and carefree he was suffering from crippling anxiety ,the school even phoned his mum to tell her he was going to the school nurse complaining about it .

I think it’s an interesting move in the UK because we don’t really associate Christian groups with anti-abortion campaigns and what not straight away, that’s more of an American thing. Though they do potentially seem on the rise in the UK?

These very public legal cases also don’t look that extreme on the surface too as others have said. I’d say their website also doesn’t appear extreme until you get to the about page and one of the things is something like stopping “the eradication of unborn children”

Whoever runs their PR when dealing with very public cases like these is very smart. They have the parents take centre stage and take all of the heat from the public then slip away without really facing any consequences/questions themselves
