She must be earning an absolute WEDGE if he can afford to leave his job and work for her and get a mortgage on a £500k plus property. Not sure banks would appreciate two people with no steady job at the moment
I totally agree and what I meant (but didn't phrase well) was that she has the money to buy "dupes" and try them out and see if they are as good as the high-end products she usually uses. I hate when influencers promote dupes they haven't actually tried!I do not trust bloggers promoting cheaper products, when they clearly use high end products themselves. Be honest about what you are actually using and buying, and if it’s expensive, so be it. Do not start promoting dupes when we all know that’s not your preference. It’s up to us as an audience to decide whether we like that or not.
Now it looks like I’m constantly defending Anna, I’m not, I have enough criticisms as well! Particularly about the capsule nonsense.
Yeah, but I just don’t think it’s her responsibility, she doesn’t owe us that. She shows us what she is buying, and if we are willing to watch that, then that’s our problem. She is not some sort of consumers association.I totally agree and what I meant (but didn't phrase well) was that she has the money to buy "dupes" and try them out and see if they are as good as the high-end products she usually uses. If they had a big deposit and a small mortgage, it wouldn’t matter that much. Also we don’t know what the set up was with the flat - if Mark did have inheritance from someone, they may have used it to pay off some of their mortgage early on the flat, so they could have a lot of money from the sale. She must be earning an absolute WEDGE if he can afford to leave his job and work for her and get a mortgage on a £500k plus property. not a baked potato deadI don’t know how she rests easy knowing her husband has given up all of that specialised knowledge, intellectual integrity and perseverance to photograph her looking like a baked potato.
I mean't to go back and listen to it again, but did Anna say she donated her earnings from the life update video and it was 600 and Lily and Anna donated their earnings from was it one podcast or all their June podcasts? That allcame to about 1K, was that right? The comments about the proofreading and passing probation really made me laugh.
Did anyone who has watched today's vlog pick up on that they donated June's income from their podcast to BLM charities. It was a £1000! Seriously, her and Lily earn a grand for a Monday morning chat!!!
I could totally see Mark and Anna opening up a coffee shop / bookshop once she stops doing Youtube. They both come across being quite happy with a relatively simple life.I do wonder what would happen to all these people if/when the influencer bubble bursts?
This but a cycle shop.I could totally see Mark and Anna opening up a coffee shop / bookshop once she stops doing Youtube. They both come across being quite happy with a relatively simple life.
My super intelligent nephew wants to be an influencer I tried talking to him about what GCSE’s he might want to do but he was all about YT. I tried steering him gently “well business studies would be good for running your own company, and definitely IT for learning about tech” to make him think I’m being supportive when actually it would be such a waste for him to become a youtuber!Exactly! Don’t tell me how to budget when you’re opaque and shifty about yours. We really need to de-stigmatize talking about money, especially now that pay isn’t keeping up with inflation and there’s such a massive pay gap amongst gender, race, etc. @influencerpaygap on IG is a really interesting account to follow. It really highlights the pay discrepancies even within their industry.
Remember when we were in middle school and the career lectures and interest inventories started and we all hoped we would get lawyer or doctor?! Do you think influencer is now an option on those career questionnaires? How depressing.
Yes, it’s different if children give up on their education to become a YouTuber, but this isn’t the case for Anna, who went to uni.My super intelligent nephew wants to be an influencer I tried talking to him about what GCSE’s he might want to do but he was all about YT. Haha joking only, in the back row has a PhD and still an influencer. If it is meant to be, that it is meant to be. Hahahahaha you may as well build a strong connection with your nephew so you can get some gifted Hello fresh or somethingMy super intelligent nephew wants to be an influencer I tried talking to him about what GCSE’s he might want to do but he was all about YT. I was wondering if his master's was in management/business/whatever and perhaps they might be looking to step away from Gleam.Yes I wondered whether Mark was having trouble finding a job, as this seems like a strange decision career wise, and as someone said on Lily’s thread, it’s risky for them to put all their eggs in one basket financially.
no he’s an engineerI was wondering if his master's was in management/business/whatever and perhaps they might be looking to step away from Gleam.
