Nope - you’ve more than likely got the h - pylori infection. Rotten egg smelly burps are a common symptom, as are other general indigestion type symptoms.

have you ever had a stomach ulcer?? Do you have any omeprazole in the house? That is very good at calming it down but it’s only on prescription.

Try to get to your Doctor tomorrow if you can, tell them your symptoms and say you’ve got the eggy burps and think it’s h-pylori. They may ask for a stool sample so if you can, gross as it may be, try to get one.
thanks for the replies. No I haven’t got a stomach ulcer. I woke up about an hour ago and was sick and have the worst stomach cramps. 🤢

Not sure if the right thread or not!
Has anyone got an Emma mattress and recommend it? It keeps getting advertised and I'm looking for a new mattress, but a bit weary of the 200 night trial? Is it all legit as in if you don't like it, you can just return for a refund or is there more to it?

Feeling a bit disgruntled with work and could use some advice about salary increases, work isses and whatnot.

I started a role around a year ago and not long into the job I was told I needed to take on some extensive admin tasks (totally outside my role), to cover just until they hired for the new admin person.

The admin tasks were previously done by 2 people but were somehow condensed into me doing them as 1 person and over the last few months they've taken up a crazy amount of time- but I sucked it up to be a team player and worked hard to impress my boss, colleagues and thought it was just until the new hire came.

Fast forward doing it for 6+ months and they've just hired the new admin person whose job I was doing and I've heard they won't be giving this admin person back what I am now doing! It's unbelievable - I really feel like it's hindering my current role as I just can't progress and say I've done XYZ in reviews as it seems like all my time is spent doing this other admin work. My life is in a fucking excel document and this wasn't what I originally signed up for at all.

I spoke to my manager and she said she was confused by the situation and going to fight my corner but I don't know how she will, I know I'll be stuck with this now.

TLDR; How do I go about asking for a salary increase? I earn 36k as an assistant in my job so not badly paid as it is but I really don't think it's fair to expect me to continue with all this extra random work!!

What is a reasonable raise? I got 1k raise this year so pretty much peanuts anyway compared to inflation.. :(

I've never asked for a raise before and get anxious. Any tips/wording/advice would be so appreciated. I am getting an update this week/early next week but I sort of already know what to expect.

I just think it's really unfair and professional to not bother telling me until this person started as well, and to not be told directly. Absolute joke.

You have every right to feel how you feel. However pushing how you feel onto someone else to make them feel guilty or change their mind is not ok. Telling him how you feel without making him feel bad or guilty is ok but I don't think you are in that head space. Perhaps, 'Thank you for being honest with you, I will say I am upset about this but I accept it.'

I appreciate it will be hard to accept his character is gone, but how about starting something new with new people. This may help in distracting your mind and get over things.
Thank you for the input. Yeah, perhaps I’m too childish to even want everything to go within my expectations. 😞 since in the past I was also upset with him and when I told him how I feel he rejected my feelings immediately, so I’m afraid if I told him I’m hurt, he wont understand it and would see me as being pushy etc.

Not really a problem, more looking for suggestions… does anyone know of semi fitted lounge wear that doesn’t make you look slobbish? I’d love a black co ord set that looks out together rather than my usual track pants and T-shirt. Something that looks out together if you know what I mean?
I got some really cute and flattering ones off shein and isn't that expensive either

I can’t get the details of who it is, they won’t give them to me. But I honestly don’t think I hit any car, I’ve got no damage on my car. But they’re then saying I’ve hit it, the car park was pretty empty and there was nobody around to even witness it. So I’m wondering if they’re just trying to claim for precious damage or something. My insurance said unless they’ve got concrete proof it won’t hold.

I’ve got told to not admit anything or say I was at the Asda

Next have a few bits. Soft but smartish trousers that would go with a comfy tshirt. I've got a couple of pairs I wear at home, like a smarter, lighter jogger. Some of them have matching tops instead of just wearing whichever tshirt falls out of the drawer first.

I think the phrasing is, you are guaranteed an interview IF you meet what they are looking for any any MH or disability won't hinder you. Say you were applying for a PA job and you couldn't use a computer, there is no point interviewing you as you cannot do the role.
No the job was literally worded as

If you have MH/disabilities we do not descrimate an you will be *guaranteed* a interview, if you would like to be offered this option then please click yes

Like I say, it was them that said this, if a company cannot be bothered to honour their word then IMO they shouldn't be offering it in the first place, regardless of how many apply or if there was better out there they still broke that

hi guys im new to the thread and would be greatful for any help.

i have social anxiety and have already not attended two presentaion sort of thing and they were part of module assesment but only a small percentage.

i Have debate sort of thing tommorow, give a presentation then debate and im lowkey worried. I cant miss it as its worth a quarter of module grade, my biggest porbelms are my voice breaking when talking and after every presentaion ive done in school college the teachers always tell me to talk louder even though i do try it never works. how can i improve or try to talk louder for tommorow.
Is this for school/college/uni? Or a work setting? Xx

Anyone know if theres places to store luggage in London? I'll be down mid week, we get there around lunch time an the hotel I believe seems fine at taking the luggage till check in an we get our room, however check out is 11am an that's them done with us which I obviously expect, we won't be getting the train home till around 7pm or 8pm, I don't really want to be going round London with my suitcase for that long plus honestly it's just going get in the way

Its going be kings Cross we leave from so preferably I'd like somwhere close or the station to store it
Is it possible that the train station will have luggage storage?

I’d be interested to know this too actually as we plan on visiting London over night by train at some point this year. I know airports often have lockers you can store your luggage in but not sure about train stations.

Has anyone ever cooked a food item from frozen when it should have been defrosted?

I had a veggie sausage roll for lunch yesterday that I've had a couple of times before with no issue. Just heat up in oven. I had one in the freezer and for some reason put it straight in the oven.

About 30 mins later, I felt awful. No diarrhoea or vomiting but this incredible fatigue and bloating. No cramps but vague stomach discomfort and rectal pressure. I still feel rough this morning, very tired, and only just realised that veggie roll should have been throughly defrosted before heating.

Have I given myself food poisoning?
If it was food poisoning you'd know, I had it a while back an it was absolutely brutal, you're vomiting pratically every hour an nothing stays down an it lasts a good few days like that as well

However anything that says needs defrosted I wouldn't cook from frozen, so it might be a mild bug you have gotten

Hey angels! Does anyone know who this blogger is, or where the dress is from? All I can seem to find on google search are copies of it but want to find the original. I thought someone might know who the blogger in the photo is and I could find it that way.

Thank you💘
is this the same dress? (i love a search, i’m going through the #greendress tag on insta 🤣) the belt is throwing me off but i think the other girl just has it twisted at an angle. the buttons and sleeves definitely look the same, and you get a discount code!

Thanks lovely but I think that's a copy also. I know me too, but the search is harder than I thought:ROFLMAO: I think it must be from a popular brand because Aliexpress etc have copied it and lots of smaller boutiques online, but I just can't find the original.

Thanks so much for your help though guys, much appreciated🙏
Why don't you buy a copy of it? ☺

Random question but my hubby and I are flying on Sunday and we've both got the new blue passports. Anyway my husband went to sign his and he's managed to put a big black smudge on it where he's signed. Does anyone reckon that could be a problem? Slightly freaking out 😵

Has anyone ever took action in stopping junk mail? I have a sign on my door but it's clearly not working, am tired of the endless junk an charity bags being posted, it just takes room up in the bins an they are only emptied once a month, I know for some that it's no problem just to dump it in bins but am literally getting up to 10 junk mail items per day every day here, its beyond a joke now

This is very trivial but I'd be interested to know what others would do in this situation:

Went to in-laws at Christmas and complimented their sodastream, I'd never seen anything like it and liked the idea of making my own carbonated drinks. I liked it so much that I went and bought one myself and they are not cheap!

Fast forward to last weekend and the in laws came to stay, bringing a present with them - a soda stream! I looked at my husband and he was acting thrilled like we didn't have one sitting in the kitchen so I followed his lead...

Now I don't know what to do! I would just give mine away but I paid a bit more for a nice looking one with glass bottles and the one they've bought us is quite basic looking with plastic bottles. I'm so grateful of the thought and would have loved it had i not already bought one  Would you just suck it up and give away the nice one and replace with the one the in laws gave you?
Why did you both lie to start with? When they turned up with one, why didn’t you just explain that you’d bought one after enjoying it so much at theirs? Then they could have taken it back and got their money back and no one would be out of pocket and you wouldn’t now be caught in this ridiculous lie!

Give them it back and explain you’d already bought one.

Thanks everyone for the pup advice, we are on day 4 of having her here and she has fit in so well.

She just hates being left alone, I found out from the previous owner that she didn't have separation anxiety there but she did have another dog for company so that's probably a big change for her bless her 😔

When we are all in the kitchen having our meals she will just whine and bark because she can't see us.
We are a very long way off leaving her in the house alone and that makes me worried and a bit regretful because it's a limit on our freedom, however we all love her so much already and are willing to put the effort in to getting her fully settled.

Will leaving her to whine it out while we eat make her separation anxiety worse?
I considered doing shifts so someone is always with her but would that enable her and make the problem harder to train out?

I overthink so forgive me for all the questions. It's probably not as deep as I think it is. I'm just quite overwhelmed despite knowing what we were getting ourselves into 🤦‍♀️
I agree with the poster who said to get them a 'thinking' toy to mess about with whilst you eat.

Another thing I did (and still do to this day) with my dog was to not make a fuss when leaving, but making a big fuss when I came in. Leaving becomes no big deal then (but def start with short times before leaving them longer). I also have a dedicated coat for dog walking, and they really are clever enough to make an association, so she knows if I'm putting that on, she's coming out too.

Has anyone had any experience with yun express? (Chinese shipping company) they sent me tracking for an item and it hasn't moved in 19 days. It should of arrived by now. I don't even know if I can go through the bank for a refund or when to start that process because neither company will respond to my emails (the one I ordered from or them) and obviously with it apparently being dispatched...
Did you order direct from them or through the likes of eBay ? If it's a credit card you would have no problem getting refunded ,debit cards are much harder though .

Mines does it with YouTube, an only YouTube but I don't know why, thinking it might be a problem with the app on the TV itself rather than the TV since everything else works fine so maybe it's the sky Q if your TV is fine with everything else

Also anyone know how easy to navigate London is, I'll be going first time in April, folks have been before but used underground an it's just not gonna happen with me at all, am happy to walk but I don't know how much I'll need to prepare for an they don't have a clue as they only ever used subways
We've removed them and installed them again .I thought Sky was being shitty because I don't sub to Netflix through them there's no problem with YT and it's only when watching through Q the ordinary TV is fine .

So I applied for a job that had a guaranteed interview for mental health/disabilities under the no discrimination act

Obviously I didn't get a interview

Can they do this? Basically I was told that I wasn't right for it, even though I matched what they were looking for
Did you declare the MH/disability? As far as I understand all that means is they can’t not interview you because you have a MH Condition/Disability if you fit the job description in every other way. Not that they have to interview you no matter what (for instance, if you applied for a qualified position but didn’t have the qualification).

Anyone know the law around repairs? My boiler is faulty (been out of action since Tuesday) and I've been told they have no idea when this will be sorted. Which is great as someone with Raynaud's.

I do have an electric shower. But I have to boil the kettle to do washing up.
