I have a question - how do people get used to waking up early? I have to be awake at 6:30AM for work and I always feel so tired when I wake up and when I finish work (3PM). It honestly is the only reason that puts me off having children (which we will want to start trying in a few years). How do I get used to it? Or how can I stop myself feeling so tired generally? 🥲
What’s your diet like? What time do you go to sleep? 6.30am isn’t particularly early and if you feel knackered at 3pm, that’s a bit concerning. Do you have a particularly physically demanding job?

Does anyone else get clothes of the washing machine and they have stains on that weren't there when they went in? It only happens to cotton/Jersey tshirts. How do you avoid it?

It's happened with a couple of different washing powders, I might try without fabric softener to see if that makes a difference.

Yeah it would just be for a main, I know drinks will be extra which is why I don't want to be paying like £25 for a meal and then drinks on top of it, an it would be each, ideally I don't want to be going above around £75 for the 3 of us

Honestly am fine with whatever cuisine, my mum isn't too keen on Indian but she will still eat it, doesn't matter if its a chain or not, and either Camden or a few miles out will be fine, just not above say 10 miles out as we are probably going be around that area

Just don't want to be paying a good amount of money an the foods crap, price doesn't always mean better, we have places here that easily will take £20 for a meal an it's rotten compared to another that will take £14 for the same thing an it's perfect

Now that they changed the rule on PCR/Lateral Flow Test, how the hell do I get one now? Hubby just tested positive and I now need to test for myself.

Hoping someone can help with an idea.
It's my brother in laws 40th in a few weeks. Literally so stuck on what to get him. He's into golf, but my husband and and him 'buy' each other a round for their birthday usually so isn't special. He's a football fan and used to play for years.

What's a good present?! Would be nice for something he could keep. I have no ideas 😔

I’ve got an interview in a couple of weeks for a job I really want, which if I get offered I am fairly certain I would take. It’s a training post with a high intake (like an apprenticeship) and would start in the new year. A couple of weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. I know that as soon as I’m employed I’m covered by their maternity leave policy (I’ve looked it up in advance) but ethically I’m not sure what the best way to approach it is, especially as my OH is talking about the possibility of me being a stay at home mum for a few years. Anyone else had this issue?

I stupidly burnt myself on kettle steam at work whilst reaching over for tea bags. My hand was only there for a second but has left a scalding red mark. I ran it under cold water just after but didn't seem to do much, still stinging. What's the best thing for it?
Grab some stingy nettle and you’ll soon forget about the burn 😉

I need to take the car to the BP garage to clean it and can’t see how you pay for the manual car wash.

Do you use coins? Pay inside? And can you use it 24hrs? There’s no info on their website that I can see, only the automatic one. I want to do it before work about 7am.

Not really a problem as such but more looking for any advice on best places to eat around London, want to treat the folks to a lovely dinner but having never been before I've 0 clue what's good, can't really be doing top end places that's £20+ for a meal pp, but I could do say mid range like £10 to £15 pp for a meal, it might be a long stretch trying to find a good place at that range, places here average between the £10 an £15 for a meal but it's not a city so not sure what London will take, we aren't fussy either when it comes to meals, an we will be staying around Camden but I am sure I can venture further just so long as it's not going be like a few hours bus ride away lol
like @BettyCrockerr says, £10-£15 pp really isn’t going to go far in london, especially for a “nice” meal and drinks etc.

there’s so much choice that it’s honestly impossible to recommend somewhere without more detail - what type of cuisine are you looking for? do you want to stay in camden or go further afield? do you want a chain restaurant or somewhere unique?

realistically, you’re going to be paying way more than the budget you’ve mentioned though.

Hi! (TMI warning in advance)

I haven’t actually posted before but just looking for some advice …..

I’m not currently trying to conceive but we are planning on trying again in the near future (not currently not on any birth control just tracking my period and avoiding the ovulating week according to an app I have)

I felt a little sick a couple days ago and last night I took my period, 4 days early, I woke this morning and it was really heavy and has continued to be all day, way more than it ever has been in my life before, I have had some cramps but nothing unbearable, but there is a lot of blood (TMI) with what looks like some clots (but then again I don’t inspect other periods so this might be nothing?)

I don’t want to seem over dramatic and say I think im having a miscarriage as I haven’t experienced that before and didn’t miss a period to take a test - can anyone offer any advice does this seem like a random extremely heavy period that’s come on early or something else? Also if you were worried it was a miscarriage would you just see it through at home or seek medical advice, I’m really naive about this as you can probably tell and don’t really want to worry anyone over nothing!
They can do a test to see if you have the pregnancy hormone in your wee (for the life of me I cannot remember what this hormone is called). If you have miscarried the hormone will remain in your system for a few days so they can see. Sorry this has happened to you, but get yourself seen in person to have the test done for your peace of mind ☹

I have always been cautious of my belly and I tend to go peplum, or an underbust wrap top that flows out at the bottom. I find a v neck is very flattering as well.

I feel like I have quite a long body, and have discovered New Looks maternity range give a longer body, this is one of my current favorites - https://www.newlook.com/uk/womens/w...0ER7hk0t2DNKlVlU95jHKXnY7WnccusoaAhl1EALw_wcB
Oh yes that is gorgeous 😍 I would definitely wear that out. New look & h&m are my go to shops, I got 3 peplum items from new look they look great.
I struggle I suppose cause I want to follow the trends but sometimes they just don't work.
What do you recommend trouser wise, I am SUPER casual and have sensory issues so don't like jeans or tight waistbands hence the leggings.

P.s edit to add my mum also suggested trying a maternity range 😀 as I'm pretty slender else where just my stomach and bum take all the weight.

Garden waste bins are not force upon anyone, because not everyone has a garden and they are charged separately from your council tax. It’s an optional extra.

The slim bins are 120litres, you cannot be filling 720litres of waste a week and don’t have room for some junk mail surely?!

Usually councils only issue recycling bins for free, waste you have to pay for. Especially new builds. I spend way to much time dealing with this in my day job, it worries me how much I know about it all.
We only get 3 bins ,a blue a black and a brown all emptied for free .I've even got an illegal black bin so put out two sometimes i'd hate to have to pay to have them emptied.

Selling my car and can't find the service history for the life of me 🤦‍♀️ It's a '14 plate, I had it serviced regularly, I can find one invoice showing the service but the book is nowhere to be found. Have a sneaky suspicion my 4 year old nephew binned it when he was rifling through the glove box recently.

Am I totally screwed without this? I had it serviced at an independant garage (who have been hopeless, tried to call them, say they have no records.)

My new car is coming Tuesday and I'm worried I won't be able to sell this one and I'll be stuck!
You can sell it no bother without the SH.
