Cat owner problem!
we have a young cat who goes out durinf the day, she wakes up around 430 climbing over us….I let her out N get back in bed till 7 when I hear her at the front door. She has started to wake up early! Last night it was 215 she started! I ignored her for as long as possible (husband is a light sleeper so wasn’t impressed) she eventually settled down on me at 3! N woke up at 4! So let her out!
im hopin it’s just a phrase cos I don’t want her to be a night time outside cat!
any advice on how to cope with a early riser cat n how to stop worrying about her once she isoutside. She is my baby!
Sorry fir the essay! X

I read this is down to using them too near the heat when cooking. Do you put them directly in the hot pan?
No, I mostly use them when am mixing things in a bowl, like I was making burgers yesterday so I used them to mix in with the mince, however the cupboard they are stored in is close to the stove so I'll try moving them an see if that helps, thanks

Have you tagged them on SM rather than just sending pm and emails? I find they are usually very fast to help if you tag them as other people can then see how you are being treated.
I did tag them on twitter an that was how they sent me a company email to get in touch with them but it didn't last long before they stopped replying, I'll see if I have any replys tomorrow since I assume it's a Mon to Fri company

So bit of a strange one this, an not sure if this is somthing I need to contact police about

A while ago I was woken at around 2am with someone standing opposite my garden, the house looks onto a nature reserve an there's a path that goes round it, thought 2am was a bit of a strange time for someone to be out so watched a bit an they seemed to stand for quite a while with a dulled down torch, so grabbed my phone in the hopes it could focus an grab a pic even though it was dark an they suddenly took off running

Few nights later, same thing although it was around midnight this time, stood for ages with a dulled torch an then walked off, thought perhaps maybe they done nightshift an this is them walking a dog an they were just waiting on it, but then started to realise that they didn't seem to be watching anything other than the houses plus the way they ran off last time didn't feel like they had a dog and also why run off if that's what you were doing

Just got them tonight again, it's 20 to 1 in the morning an definitely no dog, torch was bright an they looked like they were looking for somthing, kept shinning it across the reserve an then towards the house before going back across the reserve then turned off the torch after catching the house windows an walked off with the torch turned off

Am I just being paranoid? Will police even be intrested in this or would I be wasting their time

Thanks, I'll definitely read an see what it says, I wish they did little jars that would be fine for one meal tbh, I don't eat processed meals an trying to think of what I can make for myself that won't result in waste is quite hard

Is been years now they'd owe me a fortune. I'll have to make a point of speaking to them though as it really winds me up.
The standard GDPR retention policy is 6 years. They might not give you it all back but they may agree to back date it to your last renewal date

Just wondering... Can you have Internet without paying for a land line? Been with bt forever and probably paying more than I need to for it. I haven't used a landline phone in over a decade and they charge me for a bt sports service that I never wanted and haven't watched TV in decades.
a friend of mine has internet without a landline but i think there’s some conditions with it and it depends on your area. i’m sure she only has it through fibre optic but would have to check!

edit: this might help!

God it’s awful isn’t it 😕 I’ve listened to her so many times saying she’s not a fighter, she hates drama, she’s not confrontational…. But all they do is scream at each other!! They fight at home, they fight in the pub, they fight in airports, in public, on holiday…. She runs away from him and he chases her down, he punches walls, they name call…. Then she cries to me that he’s awful and so scary…. And then she goes back to him and I’m supposed to smile and pretend I’m ok with it
It's terrible, no one should be in such a relationship if it's just like that, I guess the only way to really deal with it is tell her either she needs to get out the toxic relationship or you don't want to hear it full stop, we used to tell my aunt that it couldn't be that bad if she was still in it an refused to leave, it hurt her obviously but she needed that push, I hope she manages to be strong enough to leave him before it gets even worse

Not a problem but a question. How can Google know what you've saw/spoke/heard when you aren't carrying your phone on you?
My phone has been relaying these things to me the last few years and I still don't know how.
I have this too. I was recently in a shop getting some new mugs then as I was walking around I stopped to look at some rugs (that I don't actually need but was just having a nose) and was telling my partner how nice the rugs were. Then, when I got home and sat down to go on the internet on my phone, all the ads that showed up on the site I was on were just full of rugs! 🤣 I never searched for rugs or anything so it was definitely spying on my rug convo!!! 🤣

Maybe the wrong thread but I'm having troubles trying to find a few things. Does anyone have any recommendations for:

Some form of comfy sliders for inside the house. Not fluffy.

A hot drink flask. Id like to take one on my evening walks. Something I can carry easily.

I like the literide crocs, not as chunky as the classic and super comfy. Cheaper and more trendy the Adidas Adilette in ‘comfort’ cloudfoam are lovely and soft (the originals are harder) or cheaper still, pillow slides on Amazon for around £12 - “MUYOGRT Pillow Slides” are great for OH.

Flasks I’ve heard very good things about the brand Chilly’s.
We’ve got a ‘proworks’ food flask which is amazing (great for keeping hot soup, pasta, even cottage pie etc) and I know they do 1 litre bottles for around £15. Both available on Amazon.

Yes, I understand how brutal food poisoning is, so I did assume it wouldn't be that, but did wonder, as you say, I could have given myself a bug of some sort.
It's probably something from whatever they use to preserve the food when it's frozen that might have done it, I find oranges an grapes to be quite good when am feeling fatigued, hope you feel better soon

Buy one of those plastic shower caps to match your uniform the client will just think it part of the PPE lol , the surgeons wear them 😂
Oh yes I know the ones you mean, I might look into those, I seen them on etsy 😂
Though this is a chain smoking house that is filthy too but some people just live that way, no amount of head coverings is going to cut it, its like walking into a pub in the 80s!

Has anyone in SH had their windows changed? I'm due to have mine done ( will probably be done on the coldest snowiest day ;) ) Do they do all the work from the inside? Only outside my bedroom window (bungalow) I have a ruddy great pond.
Would like to know if I should see about getting some strong boards or something, but with the price of wood right now I would rather not
Not SH but I lived on a second floor flat before and had to have a window replaced, was done from the inside 😀

Hi all

I have to go into hospital tomorrow for a DEXA scan.

Is anyone familiar with it or has any experience and advice?
They are totally fine. Wear something comfortable and with no metal, like a pair of leggings with no zips etc, they will then let you wear it during the dexa scan. Handier in this colder weather. They will give you an indication after the scan on how your bone density is looking. And if needed give you some tips/guidance. Please don’t worry about it 👏🏻

Hi! (TMI warning in advance)

I haven’t actually posted before but just looking for some advice …..

I’m not currently trying to conceive but we are planning on trying again in the near future (not currently not on any birth control just tracking my period and avoiding the ovulating week according to an app I have)

I felt a little sick a couple days ago and last night I took my period, 4 days early, I woke this morning and it was really heavy and has continued to be all day, way more than it ever has been in my life before, I have had some cramps but nothing unbearable, but there is a lot of blood (TMI) with what looks like some clots (but then again I don’t inspect other periods so this might be nothing?)

I don’t want to seem over dramatic and say I think im having a miscarriage as I haven’t experienced that before and didn’t miss a period to take a test - can anyone offer any advice does this seem like a random extremely heavy period that’s come on early or something else? Also if you were worried it was a miscarriage would you just see it through at home or seek medical advice, I’m really naive about this as you can probably tell and don’t really want to worry anyone over nothing!
I would just go to the walk in centre at the hospital. Rather be safe than sorry.

Put a mat over it 🤷‍♀️

Random question since we haven’t been abroad since before covid! Going to Turkey for 7 days all inclusive on a resort me and my 2 kids Iv already bought floats and sun cream etc sooo my question is will 5000 lira be enough for a week? It’s about £260 roughly.. and then £100 for airport for there and back food or whatever (will be taking lots of food too incase if delays) money is super tight since the inflation and I’m also starting maternity a couple of weeks before we go..
I think inclusive you will be ok as things are supposedly 65 % cheaper in turkey than UK
I googled .. to get perspective, a McDonalds meal there is about 20-15 liras . mid range restaurant 60-120 liras. apparently 434 lira a day is a good amount.

Sorry not really a ‘problem’ but ladies I need your help! Where do you recommend for bras? I’ve been looking all night and the ones I love are just so expensive for the one bra, I’ve had a good clear out so I’m in need of a few! I usually get them from M&S just because they’re good quality but non are taking my fancy 😢 I have bought a few from Ann summers before but I think the quality is pretty naff! I saw some gorgeous ones on savage x fenty thought I was in for a bargain so added loads to my basket and didn’t realise they were only less than half the price because it’s a £49 monthly subscription 🙃 I’m 25 so I do like more of the pretty lacy bras but still do need that support! Thank you 😊 ❤
If you are from europe then
Intimissi,Tezenis or for me where i mostly buy H&M and Lindex
