Struggling with a really negative colleague. We have the same manager, and I am in a more senior role than her but I do not directly line manage her. It's a busy time at work, 2 weeks out from our annual big event.

You'd think nobody has worked harder than her, more hours than her, or done more than her. Multiple times, our shared manager has remarked to me that she has been reluctant to take work on and that she is negative, and that we should find ways for me to be able to delegate work to her (as my workload is high). I said that she is often reluctant towards this as she's very aware that I do not line manage her. My boss' response was 'don't worry, she's got the same attitude with everyone'.

I tend to largely get on with my own work and ignore her moaning. We generally work well together, but she happened to snap at me in front of our shared manager today when I pointed out something to be changed in the final draft that I, fully admittedly, had put in. She said 'I need you to ensure everything you send me is clean because I am too busy for this'. I ignored it, because quite frankly, we're all busy and in a mad pre-event rush. My boss also said nothing.

But I just feel like this is a growing problem and I'm not quite sure how to address it. I've been assisting more and more of her work, which I am happy to do because I am in a more senior role and I am able to finish things quicker - both my side and also for my boss, who tends to have less rounds of feedback for me and trusts more of the process in my hands. Still... has anyone dealt with a colleague like this?
You need to nip it in the bud immediately. As soon as it happens. I know how I would handle it but a lot depends on your work situation on how nice you need to be when stopping her.
If you don’t stop it, it will carry on and get worse

I really want wraps for my lunch next week but everytime I make wraps and try to roll them, the wraps get holes in them or never as tight as they should be. I’ve added less food in the middle to see if that helps - it doesn’t!
Anyone got any videos I could watch that makes it sink in on how to do a tortilla wrap?!
I find the reduced fat wraps are a bit sturdier for rolling. I actually saw Joie wrap ties in Aldi yesterday, might be worth a go!.

I want to buy new pillows as mine are looking gross!! I've got 4 of the same brand, which are quiet firm, but i think I want to buy 2 which are a bit softer. Anyone got any recommodations? I'm a side sleeper- willing to pay upto £30.
I got more of a rectangle box shaped one from The Range £11/12 as I thought it would look good in my bed even if it was no good. I had also just bought a super bounce one from Aldi so didn't get 2 box ones.
I don't lean against the box one and it has been very good for sleeping on.
I do lean against the super bounce one, which has gone flat now.
ETA I am a side sleeper too.

With all the love to your friend and to you, who is being a great mate, and with absolutely no knowledge of the Romanian medical system, that is textbook scam 😕
thank you, there's so much nonsense that has gone on but my friend is convinced it's all real and they're going to live happily ever after 😥

I don't usually have this issue but painful ears when flying. Advice please? I've had a really snotty nose (I suspect hayfever) which I don't think is helping much

Has anyone successfully got rid of fungus gnats from a plant and has any recommendations for what works best? Already planning to repot my plant as it needs it anyway but looking for something in addition to that (and to my cats who keep digging for them ffs)

Nope 😢. They lied to me at every opportunity including telling me royal mails lines are shut! They can’t say for sure where my parcel is, if they have it or if it will be returned.

I’ve raised a complaint with Royal Mail who accepted responsibility but they are now not responding 🙃
Can you report it as theft?

I’ve never heard of it peeling before?!? I would get a ceramic one but it might be cheaper to buy a new slow cooker
Thanks, yeah first I've known it to happen but it's like all the outer lining has just started to come off it

We have looked at new ones but I'd be worried it would happen again, an the slow cooker itself it's a pretty good one with digital displays

This is a minor problem but it is driving me crackers. I took the cover off my baby's car seat to wash and now I can't find the handle for it anywhere. How can a fairly sturdy piece of plastic just vanish? I've looked in all the obvious places and it's just disappeared. 😓

I spoke to sheltercymru and they said anything used for essential expenses is deducted so it would be tapered for £6000 and stopped at £16000 they did mention there can be issues sometimes cos it’s UC advised I keep records, I cant take the email but can the vital info and list of where money will go and advised get reciepts for that - thats a problem because there’s no bank here, and the hub won’t print anything as not secure connection but I get paper statements (which are recognised legal documents) so I can provide those, except for the cash only landlord but the amount will be below £6000 by then.

They said under £6000 is ignored.

I ordered some shoes on different colours as wasn't sure which I wanted. Sent 2 of 3 pairs back but had an issue with the refund taking a while. Emailed them and they've issued the refund now but I think they've refunded for all 3 pairs do I let them know or just ignore it? They've also sent it in USD not GBP which I found strange but whatever
I would ignore it. But then again, I am extremely skint at the moment!

Is it normal to be seen by a pharmacist for a doctors appointment at your GP? I didn’t know at the time but I did think she was being vague, unhelpful and brushing thing off. I’ve just looked at my gp notes and it shows I was seen by a pharmacist? She said my bp was normal but the reading it was on the day means it was elevated and falls into stage 1 hypertension. I remember her repeating it a few more times and telling me it’s ok now but on the notes she recorded the elevated reading with nothing further added about it. Im thinking of complaining
Yes, I recently did an online consultation for my child and we were referred to the pharmacist rather than a GP or nurse appointment. Just as good for what we needed.
As for your BP, the reading would be the same whoever took it? And the previous poster was right than one high reading alone could be down to many things if the subsequent ones were ok. Were you there because you were concerned, or as a general checkup thing?

Is there anything stronger than paracetamol that I can buy OTC for period pain please? Not ibuprofen as no one will sell that to me as soon as I mention I have asthma
I use nuromol for mine, it used to be over the counter but now it's on the shelves which I don't feel it's as strong now as it used to be, but it still works the best out everything, it's a cross between paracetamol and ibuprofen but places like Tesco/Asda etc won't ask you any questions if you are buying it

Best way it works for me is take two as soon as I know it's coming then every morning, afternoon an night till am finished my period, I have horrendous period pain an this is the only way I can get through it

I’ve started having sharp pains in my neck back and right arm which I’m constantly using clicking with the mouse at work. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong maybe I’m sitting wrong, I don’t see anyone else at work with back and neck and arm pain from working/sitting and typing even if they’re slouched in their chair. I actually try to sit up straight but I do have so much tension. I find myself having to stretch my neck and back every 10 minutes or so and adjust myself and I really don’t know what to do or ask my doctor if it’s my job to sit at a desk all day. My chest hurts too
