Thank you I’ll go to the store tomorrowAdd healthy fats, avocados, olive oil, nuts, seeds, bananas, full fat milk to your diet. Buy some protein bars to snack on. Try and eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, maybe add in a shake.
I hope the stress eases soon.
It can’t be shingles in two places, unlikely to be an insect thing if it flares up in the same place and unlikely to be contact dermatitis if it’s just in two areas so it looks to be heat related. Possibly try an over the counter non drowsy anti histamine.I wonder if anyone has any ideas what my skin irritation could be? I have a itchy sensation within my skin , it's on an area of my left arm and on my left thigh. It is red , probably due to me scratching, and small red spots tend to appear within the itchy area. This is about the third time Ive had this over the last 15 years or so . It only ever happens when it has been hot and then it just disappears like magic after a while. The first time it happened, I got some cream from the gp but they didn't really explain what it was .
Someone I know suggested shingles which I suppose is possible
The dress is lovely. Totally suitable for a winter wedding.Tattlers, is this dress suitable for a wedding? We’ve been invited to the actual ceremony and it’s the week between christmas and new year. Everything in the shops is sparkly and I can’t find anything I love except for this one dress! I was however set on having a midi/maxi with it being winter. Is it acceptable?

I did think that but thought I would give them an opportunity to start withCan you report it as stolen property?
I have one from Asda that's good and was cheap but I think I've lost part of it.. thanks I'll have a look in h&bHome Bargains do an insulated water bottle for less than a fiver and it’s perfect![]()
yes i got one for my fiancé’s first father’s day of the night sky the day our son was born. i got it from not on the high streetHas anyone ever done one of those location/date constellation maps as a gift? If so where did you get it from? So many mixed reviews so I'm unsure where to order from.
There is one hereDo we have a thread for autism and advice for it? Especially for kids
We also have a Quooker tap (boiling and filtered water). It’s great. The only annoying thing to bear in mind is the additional cost of having to replace the filters every six months or so.Anyone have a filtered water tap/machine? Fed up of buying bottled water (from Costco). We drink a lot of it so wouldn’t want a Brita jug.
There are lots of companies that buy gold. You can normally get a price based on a photo and weight. Not sure if this is the right place but I was given a 24k gold chain for my 18th by my dad, a "few" years ago now.
I've never worn it, it's just not my style. My dad has since died and I'm thinking it would be better to sell the chain and get something I'd actually wear to remember my dad.
How's best to go about that? I don't know if I trust all these cash my gold companies but is it something a proper jewellery shop would buy off me?
Open and use a hair dryer to blow out the dust. Unless you have a special vacGot a custom built pc, it's starting to get a bit dusty inside, is there a safe way to clean it, or is it fine to just open up an wipe down with a microfibre cloth? Don't want to damage anything
I was concerned and was told it’s all fine. I had left shoulder, back and chest pains and was prescribed diclofenac gel to apply. I was having headaches too. On the notes the high recording was noted and not that it was ok. I got the impression didn’t really want to do anything furtherYes, I recently did an online consultation for my child and we were referred to the pharmacist rather than a GP or nurse appointment. Just as good for what we needed.
As for your BP, the reading would be the same whoever took it? And the previous poster was right than one high reading alone could be down to many things if the subsequent ones were ok. Were you there because you were concerned, or as a general checkup thing?
I always use Snapfish. Always good quality and there’s usually a discount. I get photo books made of holidays and I have never been disappointed.Looking to get some photos printed, I know there's a few online I can get them from, any recommendations of which ones that will do pretty good quality?
Don't want to use those machines up town like in boots or Asda etc cause the quality always comes out so crap
Thanks I'll try that, don't have any special vac, but might need to look into thatOpen and use a hair dryer to blow out the dust. Unless you have a special vac
Contact the council. That many people in a studio flat isn’t right.I live in a studio flat (kitchen, bathroom and main living room with pull down bed)
I own this property, been here years and have lived in flats previously so very used to having people living above.
Tenant above (also studio flat) moved in about 5/6 months ago and has been a nightmare from day one, lots of banging and crashing, slamming doors, very loud conversations, washing machine on early which is loud when it's directly above and numerous occasions of screaming and swearing once waking me in the early hours.
I contacted her landlord in the first month and explained, he apologised and said he'd speak to the agent who in turn said they would spk to the tenant. He also gave me the agents contact details.
Nothing changed so I rang the agents who were lovely and said they would contact her again, I thought at that point there was more than one person living there, they said only one on the tenancy but technically they could add another if needed, it wasn't a major issue.
They spoke to her and she claimed to have no idea what noises I was complaining about but I hoped things would settle.
They got worse.
I rang agent again this time speaking to the actual person in charge of said tenant, she was rude, kept interrupting me, insisted it wasn't unreasonable behaviour to have a washing machine on at 7am and that I had to expect to hear noise. Told me to ring police if I didn't like the screaming and swearing.
I explained several times I was well aware that noise was to be expected as was very used to having people above as I've lived here over 20 years but this is by far the worst tenant.
She basically told me new regs coming in meant it was harder to evict someone without either the landlord paying loads of money through a court and the only way to do it is if she breaks the tenancy by doing something serious such as trying to sell the flat.
Roll on several weeks and the screaming and shouting got worse, every few days, all different times, once three times in one day.
Her boyfriend was regularly staying so general noise was worse too.
And then the parents arrived.
And haven't left after six weeks.
They are definitely sleeping/staying there but I don't know if it's permanent or a long holiday.
She goes out to work but they are in the flat most of the day, really loud calls, bellowing over what sounds like facetime, I can also hear the tinnyness of the person they are speaking too.
I believe they are all Filipino or similar so can't understand what they are saying but they are loud!
One morning they woke me at 4am laughing and talking loudly, crashing around in their kitchen, the same at 6am the following day.
I literally get no peace on my days off. They wake me early every morning so I've had to start going to bed earlier to make up for never getting a lie in or chance to catch up on sleep.
On the plus side since they arrived she hasn't had a screaming/swearing incident.
They go to bed reasonably early.
On the negative they are noisy constantly when home.
I never get to relax on my days off or enjoy not having to get up early for work.
I'm exhausted and on edge constantly, I don't enjoy my own home anymore.
They have bellowed conversations in person and on the phone.
Play music loud.
Have visitors several times a week.
The dad is a smoker and goes out numerous times letting the main door slam every single time.
What do I do?
Am I wasting my breath complaining as they have already said it's hard to evict and clearly the agent isn't on my side?
Do I say she's got her parents staying in the hope she's broken her tenancy but risk looking a twat if it turns out they are just having a long holiday?
Do I just contact the landlord rather than the agent in the hope he will be more proactive although realistically he will just pass the info to the agents anyway?
Do I wait a few more weeks and see if the parents leave?
These places are not designed for multiple occupants, it's a squeeze even for a couple let alone three adults and potentially four when the boyfriend is there.
Sorry for such a long post!
Just to add selling/moving out isn't an option for me at the moment sadly.
Aww thank you, I hope they come back soon for both of us & its good news, I'm 99% sure its ok I just want it in writing, I'm anxious to call the department at the hospital because I will most probably be told its not been processed yet & again be made to feel bad for asking about my own health.Ugh, I’m so sorry that happened to you at a time when things were stressful enough. Just to reassure you that so far the biopsy result timescales seem to tally even though our experiences on the day were different![]()
