It’s 💯 not a disciplinary matter so don’t panic. They can’t force you to sign it but do keep in mind they can make your life low key difficult if you don’t so you may end up looking for a new employer out of choice. If they bring it up again say you’re aware of the matter and engaging with advice from your union on how to proceed and you’ll come back to them when that process is completed.

I think they’re using a standard agreement that would be used for everyone else and thinking it applies to you too, when the circumstances of your employment are different to a standard staff member. Don’t be too bothered by it, it’s administrative ineptitude at its finest and I’m sure it will be resolved.
Thank you 💜

I am a worrier.

Random question

The handle on my door is coming lose, is that a job for a joiner or a locksmith? I was thinking a joiner could do it but if it needs a new handle all together then will I need a locksmith since it may need new locks? It's a barrel lock we have if that makes a difference

Random problem, we use Gmail at my work an I have to create contacts but for some reason the part where you can add a profile picture is massive an it has the part where you add the details underneath it really small which I have to scroll to get it all, is there a way I can reverse it so I can see more of the details part an less of the profile picture part?

Help please! Could really do with some relationship advice, hate to ask but just can’t work it out in my head. Sorry to post a serious one!

My partner (well, ex partner as of Saturday) and I had been together nearly 2 years. We live separately but most of our time is spent at his and that’s where I was planning on moving to. Over the past few years I have been suffering from some kind of weird mental health concern / lack of confidence / feeling like a black cloud is over my head and when at my partners it has made me run back home. I’m still to work this all out, I have thought maybe PMDD / perimenopause but am not diagnosed. Anyway on Sunday I felt it again and told my partner I wanted to come home, he was angry as we have this week off work. I left his, went to get some fresh air and before I got home I got a text from my mum saying he had been round, was in tears and had dropped off all of my belongings. My mum said he was in a bad way and she could tell he was heartbroken. I know he loves me and I love him but this black cloud thing I cannot seem to control. So he was effectively saying he can take no more, although it breaks his heart to do that. We haven’t been in contact much since, I did text him and try to call him to say sorry but the problem is he’s heard it all before. I just don’t know what to do now going forward. His last messages were along the lines of that I need to take some responsibility for my actions, I said I agreed and he has now messaged me randomly today just saying ‘So?’ like he’s waiting for an update. But I honestly don’t know what to do. I don’t want to lose him forever but I’m also conscious of the fact that only days ago he made it quite final by taking all of my belongings to my parents. And if I say I want to change / get better he has heard all this before. Can anyone offer any wise words on what to do please? Should I be chasing him as maybe that’s what he wants? But then I think if I had taken my partners belongings to his parents it would mean it was fully over and I would want him to respect that. Help!

😣 how have they managed to get upstairs 😭 yes, I’ve bought some spray and it should arrive in the next few days. Am I going to have to cover my whole house?! Fortunately, I don’t have any pets. I’ve had them a while but only ever seen the odd one and killed it and thought it was just a regular bug. I hoovered yesterday and emptied it straight away.
Have you only seen them in 1 room?

Does anybody know if you can claim somebody’s state pension contributions if they died before pension age? For example: married couple in their 50’s both eligible for state pension. One dies. Can the other one claim any money?
I was actually just talking about this with my parents, I think they need to have named the other as a beneficial in a will other wise there may not be anything you can do

Sorry to interrupt. Ive a question regarding disability discrimination, whether this is it and what I can do. Bit of background am being made street homeless in few weeks time. Urgently need help regarding this and eviction notice/what happens etc. The only person willing to help, according to advocate works for mind, can only see me twice as I don’t qualify for their help as not severe incapacitated mentally and have physical needs (there’s no tenancy help with physical disability here you’re just supposed to go live with family or friends).

Here’s the problem, because of my disability I cannot access the building where they usually see physically disabled. So mind have told me I must pay for somewhere else as they can’t see me anywhere else. My advocate has disappeared on holiday for a week, and told me they’ll apply for funding next week. To try and get ahead I’ve contacted charities today and they’ve told me no, mind should be paying not me, the last (literally five minutes before they closed) told me it’s discrimination.

First I’m not sure if it is? Second no idea how to put in a complaint so it gets resolved and doesn’t become really ‘wordy’ like this post; my mental health is really poor and I’m struggling to grasp thoughts right now, hence being wordy.

Thanks.

How do you deal with someone who constantly blames you for trivial things that you didn't do.

It's only my 2nd interaction with this woman but she has this way of blaming people for everything she finds wrong. I'd like her to know that she needs to chill while being polite and not cause drama.

Also if you think I'm petty i agree with you hahaha 😵💫

Anyone here had a colonoscopy?

Been referred for one and just had a phone call with a colorectal nurse and I'll get one in the next two weeks

Any advice regarding the procedure would be very much appreciated

Wow. THANKYOU so much!

The notice is valid. I had it checked. However, I wasn’t given a new contract after the regs changed so it may not be valid (I don’t know if that makes sense). They’ve told the police, housing solutions and housing worker from Wallich that I’m safe from eviction. I’ve told them all that the landlord has tried to change locks illegally, been here yelling at me to get out and all sorts, but they say it’s all fine and I’ve misunderstood, due to illness. I am suffering a lot with PTSD right now, and those three have actually seen how much it is; mental health have said it doesn’t matter which makes people being able to help difficult e.g gp, landlord.

I know the version of tattle I use isn’t the same as others, it’s an older version, I totally get what you’re saying its not like to can see my screen. The council website simply gives ME a page saying to update device. I’m unable to access our nearest library (I have tried!); there’s two computers in each and they are very hard to get access to (non bookable).

I’ve been waiting for an adapted property that meets my medical needs (am physically disabled as well) for ten years. I’m already in top band. I can’t manage steps or ramps due to my condition being so bad now. It doesn’t help that landlord said I could stay until one was found.

I’ve accessed help with hoarding disorder myself, MIND, GP and social services all were unhelpful but my poor mental health makes it difficult for them to help. It wasn’t helped by someone stealing my bin and landlord refusing me one for 3 years.

I’m hoping to meet with council and Wallich tomorrow. We’ve a major storm warning though that may not happen, otherwise I’ll need to cancel (extreme wind and walking sticks is just asking to end up in a road and I can no longer manage a vehicle).

The problem is having both mental and physical disabilities and too young (albeit only by a couple of years) for adapted flats for my needs and having those needs recognise, my condition is rare and instead of engaging with specialists social services dismissed it and decided to concentrate on mental health - and, unfortunately those places are not accessible or adapted so I would need to pay for someone to get me inside, carry me up and down stairs for kitchen/bathroom (neither of which are adapted).

Council have known about my condition and that it can only worsen for almost 20 years! Unfortunately covid stopping everything for years and me stupidly staying away from people due to shielding has meant I’ve now been declared ‘better’.

Anyway, I thank you very very much!
You're very welcome. Sorry I couldn't find anything more helpful.

I don't usually deal with Welsh law but the CAB website ays that if your landlord did not give you a 'written statement' to replace your tenancy agreement after December 2022 (when the law changed) they can't give you a 'no fault eviction'.

Do people actually cut up and send back their old driving licence to the DVLA or can I just destroy it myself? 🥲
The only time DVLA has chased up me to send my license back was when I was diagnosed epileptic. Then when I was deemed fit to drive again they just sent it back

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
I’ve ordered a few different things, based on your advice;

For babies, I’ve gotten baby accessories (hats, vests etc) and for when they are older too! Blankets seem to be a useful/popular choice so gone for those as well!

I’ve gotten some stuff for the mums too, stuff like luxury bubble bath/shower gel, luxury teas and some chocolate treats.

ive also ordered the “this works” sleep spray for mum and baby, which has rave reviews - has anyone used this? I figured it was something that was nice for mum and (hopefully?) baby too.
Lovely presents, I’d be very happy with that 😊

I don’t think of this as a problem, but maybe more so seeking some advice? I’m looking at buying a new sofa etc and I’ve found one I really like in next. I suppose what I’m asking for is information on the quality of their furniture, what’s their customer service like etc

I really don’t want to make a purchase if they just leave you hanging should something go wrong
I have a Next sofa. It is really good, I picked them because the delivery date was within a week whereas from actual sofa shops it was months for a delivery date. I have had no issues. The delivery people were helpful as it was a struggle to get in the house and through doorways etc

The father is not on the birth certificate but obviously dna will prove it. We are talking mega bucks. And we are in ni if that makes any difference. I’m just asking around at the minute to get an idea of what it could look like, but it looks like an appointment with a solicitor would be the next step. Thanks so much all for the help!!
Yes best to get a probate solicitor to start the process to prove dna then apply for the contest of will. Good luck with it all

I bought a jumpsuit and wore it once and the seam has ripped/come apart in the front under the bust. It happened as I was pulling it down to take it off (it has no zip). Is it cheeky to take it back to the shop for being faulty or is it my fault it ripped? It's quite noticeable.
