If someone (not me) is suspended from work whilst a sexua harassment claim is ongoing, what is the liklihood of them being allowed to a work Xmas party?

Ordered a jumpsuit from next tried it on and I look fab. Went to show my husband and he said what's that smell? The jumpsuit stinks. Like manure/muck spreading/shit smell.

He then peeled one of their returns barcodes off my back.

The tag is one that loops through the label so easily removed and replaced. So it appears someone has worn it somewhere stinky and returned it.

It is out of stock online and I haven't seen it in store. What would you do? Try washing it and of smell doesn't go/it shrinks add the label back on and return? Ask for a discount? Just return it and cry? I have quite a long body so finding a jumpsuit that fits and looks as good as this did is hard. Any advice woukd be appreciated
Soak it in baking soda and add a tablespoon full to the wash. That should get rid of any smells.

I’m a bit annoyed at the moment because the management company of my complex has decided to remove all intercoms. This means that whenever I get deliveries, drivers need to ring me and have to go all the way to the entrance gate to get my packages. There’s no reception either.

I’m now experiencing repeated issues with UPS who told me drivers aren’t allowed to ring recipients on the phone during delivery. This has caused many of my deliveries to fail and be returned to sender (costing me money and time). This is a new rule because UPS drivers always rang me before.

I’m now honestly about to lose my mind because this means I would have to avoid all online merchants because most use UPS. I tried to escalate the issue to UPS to no avail. I’ve now one package returned to sender awaiting refund and another one stuck with UPS because of this. I paid about €20 in delivery fees for both and can’t be delivered. It’s a pure rip off. I’ve no clue what to do or how to raise a formal complaint?

There's only one an it was on FB I seen it, unfortunately it's a small town so it's not like there's a ton of places, we've only got like 10 shops, but I just wasn't getting great vibes off this one I seen, it's a little over a hours drive away an there's like 6 reviews, it seemed strange for someone who's apparently got a few years building an selling to only have that few reviews
Have you tried posting on Reddit? There’ll be a wealth of knowledge on there

The colour scheme only applies to the bridal party and decor so as long as you don’t pick a dress that looks bridesmaidy and manage to pick their colour you’re fine.
I think you could get away with the first but I generally avoid white as a main colour so I’d go for the blue. Wrap dresses are great for weight loss but I’d maybe wait until a bit closer to the time to purchase as it’s not in the sale.
Yeah I think you're right. I'll wait until May as I go off clothes easily and I'll hate it by summer and end up ordering something else anyway 🤣

Ex police car? They don't have mot history, because we had one and it didn’t have mot history til it had the mot when we bought it.
Or the car was overseas and has been imported.
What kind of car is it?
No, although that might be a reason for some, not the ones I'm looking at. Old VW I'm going with the private plate.

Anyone know anything about fences? 😔

Just had a 6ft fence installed with concrete posts. Looks great. Fencers left today. Haven't paid anything but deposit yet.

However tonight noticed two posts (either end) are able to move side to side quite a bit and one other post will move slightly.

This can't be right? I'm going to video it and send to them on the morning and ask them to come back out.

So annoying. Not cheap either!

Does anyone use amazon music, am trying the free trial but I can't work out how to transfer my playlists into songs (which am assuming is the library) am using my phone, online says to click the + button but there's not one

I don't want to add them one by one an sometimes I like listening to my full library rather than a playlist

Any computer savvy people, is this a good deal for a gaming pc? Am still a bit wary with the whole building one but seen this an figured if I can get into it then maybe I could slowly upgrade over time when needed an this would be ok to start me off with
I can't see the price!

Possibility, however to reassure you I had the same found and it was a benign polyp 😊 very common to find polyps on colonoscopies that don’t turn cancerous
If it's a possibility, why are they waiting 6-8 weeks?

If they wait 6-8 weeks and I have cancer, I'm well and truly buggered

Hey all
I'm going to post as much as I can without giving too much away. A couple of years back I worked for a school within a Catholic trust (this may be relevant). today I had a letter claiming that the school has claimed a rebate so I need to pay back some tax for my time there. I checked my payslips and everything is on there. No one currently working seems to have one of these letters. It looks like a real letter and the number to call is for HMRC.
Edited to add: is this something companies can just do or is it because it's a church trust?

I’m about to lose my mind!

Back in August, I missed my flight for my summer vacation because I overslept. I was heartbroken but decided to get over it and book a trip to somewhere else for this week.

I’m due to be flying to Rome at 7am tomorrow. Everything was fine and dandy today. Then, as I was about tip hop into bed, I hear a huge noise coming from my water pump /boiler. The water pump engine has has been running with a loud noise for 3 hours straight when no water is in use at the moment. I’ve been living in this apartment for years, never experienced this. The pump noise can be heard from outside.

About an hour ago, I checked the pump again and realized there’s a full blown leak under it. I rang the management company of my building who told me they can’t do anything about it. I then rang my landlord’s emergency number and was told they’d look into it tomorrow and that there’s nothing to worry about, I can go on vacation and let someone in to fix it.

I’m honestly not comfortable with this. I’d rather be there and I’m not OK with flying overseas while this water pump / leak nonsense is going on. I live alone.

If I cancel my trip, I’ll lose a good chunk of money. What should I do?

Argos does extra tall regular ones. Or there are those pull across ones which fix on the outside so if you’ve got enough door trim she shouldn’t be able to reach around for.

Could you put a lock or even a door wedge on your door to keep her out of your bit at least so you’re not locking her in but rather locking her out?
I might look at the pull across an see if I can fix it on the other side, it's not just my room I need her out though lol it's almost the whole house, I don't want to really be spending hundreds of pounds toddler proofing the house when she's only spending maybe one night every few months with me, usually she's a drop off morning an pick up night so I don't need to worry about overnight

What about a Premier Inn? I'd always recommend considering them in an unfamiliar city as they are usually well located for the attractions We stayed at one near the station and the city centre is all in close walking distance.
Not been at Hogmany so can't help with that .
I don't think there's any premium inns close enough to where I want, Edinburgh isn't really unfamiliar to me as it's only a 40min drive but I've never stayed at any hotels an have never paid attention to where they all are either lol, I do know how to get about the place but just not at Hogmanay as I don't know what will be closed off as up by the castle is ticketed so I know that will all be shut for wandering, hoping the royal mile will be open to some extent though

They can’f just “take” the money. Have you seen the will? Presumably somebody has let you know you’ll be receiving money.
Just wait patiently as it takes some time to sort out. Mr Lolz is currently awaiting payment from probate and it’s taken almost two years to get here.
Thank you, yes I bought a copy of the will which is how I know. I didn't realise they couldn't take it, you can tell my knowledge on these things are limited. Wow two years, I guess there's a lot to sort out. It's only been six months for me. My main worry is whether I need to communicate with anyone or whether I wait to be contacted .

I have some coffee pods - not the standard nespresso ones but Lavazza ones - which I don't need anymore as the machine is broken. Can they be recycled or donated?

Well technically I am not employed by the NHS, im employed by the GP surgery who are a sub contractor for the NHS. Apart from the NHS pension scheme I receive no other NHS related employment benefits. We get no company sick or maternity pay, when the NHS receive a pay rise we don't, hence me earning all but minimum wage.
I understand.
I hope it works out.
