Everytime I’ve had a scan I’ve been told to call my gp for results within 7 days. Or they’ve called me before then if there’s been issues with the scan
Thank you, I’ve submitted an email to request my results, the ultrasound tech couldn’t say much at the time (I’ve got gallstones) but I did ask if we’re still there & they nodded yes. Just want to know either way really.

Your thanks are appreciated but really not necessary. I've spent a lot of time training in these issues with CAB and it seems stupid not to use such knowledge as I have to try to help people with their problems.

You can read your landlord's email to you as a clumsy way of just emphasising that although he will let you stay for now, he still wants you to leave when you can. In that case his email to the council is entirely consistent. However I fully understand why it would worry you. Based on what you've posted here I don't think you need to be worried about being forced out. It's now down to the council to do their best for you.

There are legitimate reasons why your benefits could be switched from 'contributory' to 'income' based. For example if you are not in the Support Group for ESA you can only get 'contributory ESA' for 12 months and then you'll be switched to 'income based'. DWP doesn't need your consent to do this. The old 'income based' (also known as 'means tested') benefits are being replaced by Universal Credit which is also 'means tested' so the amount you get will depend on your income and savings etc. Once you've applied for UC you should only have to wait 5 weeks for the first payment and you can get an advance on that payment if needed.

I've never come across a PIP claim being stopped on the basis that the claim was fraudulent so that seems 'unusual'. It's difficult to see how a PIP claim could be fraudulent. However without knowing the details I couldn't comment further and I don't think this is the forum for that anyway. I would really recommend contacting Citizens Advice for help at least on the benefit issues. There are lots of ways to access advice besides 'face to face'. https://www.cabceredigion.org/services/
Well I still appreciate your advice. So I think thanks are needed 😊 especially on a site like tattle where we are all supposed to be mean trolling types!

With the housing I understand. I’ve been given advice on what to do if they turn up, housing have now accepted the landlord hasn't been upfront with them and so I’m letting them deal with that.

My ESA is support group and long term - 10+ years ( because of the nature of my illness) I’d been told I’d not need to claim UC, it now appears my ex advocate got it changed so I could get cost of living payments which I wasn’t eligible for for other reasons. The PIP issue was caused by a non qualified social worker sending emails during lockdown claiming I was better and they had proof that I no longer had needs and could work. They’ve since been suspended from work (as they lied about qualifications and their job - they weren’t a senior clinical social worker at all), at a risk of defending the DWP this email was sent to the whole of the local hospital as well as many others so I can see why they made such a decision. I have contacted CAB, their wait time is very long due to various issues taking place in the county, I am on the list.

The ESA wasn’t stopped because it cannot be without a benefit medical being done, apparently it can be with PIP 🤷‍♀️

Had a baby 7 months ago and my old jeans still don’t fit me 🤡 can anyone recommend their best mom jeans? I’m usually a 8/10 (so I tell myself 😂) and a short arse so need short length but everywhere fits horrendously.

Could the car have been declared SORN and kept off the road for a period of time so it wouldn't have had an MOT in that time? Or could it have previously had a private plate on, which has now been taken off so the MOT history would show on the private plate rather than the current one?
Ahh yes thank you, private plate makes sense. Shame that it buggers up. I would never buy a car where I could not see the MOT history

How do I stop the scammers and chances from hassling me on Facebook market place. I’ve had about 25 messages in 30 mins since listing various electrical items including iPhones. They all say I will send you money if my uncle can pick it up. NOPE

I brought a car last year and have driven it for the past year. My car insurance is due for renewal and when looking at quotes it had accidentally been clicked that I brought this car in February 2024. I went to change it to the correct information February 2023 and it bumped my premium up by a couple of hundred pounds! Shouldn’t it be lower since I’ve been driving the car longer? Because the age of the car hasn’t changed on the quote. It’s so expensive
They might think you'll be more cautious if you've just bought the car .

Sorry this is a very minor query in comparison & sending lots of love & positive vibes to you all! 💜

Can anyone recommend a decent broadband provider (I only want broadband, not TV etc). I’m aware speed/availability is reliant on my new area but I’m moving alone, have been overseas & don’t know wtf I’m doing! 🤣
Have a look on uswitch x

I know you say there is no options of leaving your husband, but there will be a way you just cant comprehend it right now. I married my first boyfriend 🙄, he didn't abuse me but like you I had the mindset that I couldn't leave, for lots of reasons I felt valid at the time. Something changed, and I did leave him, it was hard and sometimes I wonder how I got that strength to do it. It was the best thing I have ever done and thank god I did.
Life really is too short to be stuck, unhappy and dreaming of happiness.
I have had a second chance at a happy life so can you 🩷
Thank you. I tried to leave two years ago but with a mortgage, unable to afford rent etc it wasn't possible so we stayed together. He also told me over the years if I ever left he would make sure I never got to see my kids again so it's not worth losing my kids.
---
I would tell your work friend that while you really appreciate his support and kind words, that you just want to be clear that you are not looking for anything more than friendship and you are not wanting to leave your marriage, so if he could kindly consider that before making some of the comments that could be misconstrued.
But can I please tell you that you are your own person, you do not owe anyone anything and you deserve to be happy. I'm sure you're a beautiful person and life is too short to spend it with people who don't appreciate you and who don't see your worth. I'm not for a second suggesting you give things with the colleague a go, but where you say that you can't leave your marriage... You absolutely can no matter how daunting or scary it might feel. Sometimes you have to be selfish in life and put yourself first, and think your long term happiness.
Never settle for anything less.
Thank you. I will try get a few min this week to have a chat with him. And see what he says.
I'm not used to being in a situation like this

Children will always see a parent’s shitty behaviour for themselves as they grow up.
Do you have someone who’s more unbiased who could offer to be a sounding board for them? Or be in a position to offer them someone to talk to that you pay for?
Feelings of rejection from a parent can be a massive trigger for kids, it would be good if they could have an open dialogue with someone without feeling they have to ‘take sides’ (even though you’re not pressuring them to, he might).

Things are happening, albeit slowly. But shit has definitely hit the fan
Hoping there is some sort of support system in place should you need it. There are charities that can advise on victim compensation, should it be applicable, that you could use to access private services xx

If it's a possibility, why are they waiting 6-8 weeks?

If they wait 6-8 weeks and I have cancer, I'm well and truly buggered
I just meant there’s any possibility that a polyp could be cancerous I wasn’t trying to worry you sorry.

if they believed it was cancer you’d be referred in the 2 week wait pathway and be seen within 2 weeks (I used to work on a cancer ward and all that were thought to be cancer were seen within 2 weeks)

Does anyone know what is happening with my external walls? I will get The professionals in to have a look just want an idea of what that could be. It is only at the back of my property, no damp issues inside
Do you have cladding? If it's a North facing wall it could be that it's not drying out and it's just mildew. Still should have been sealed though.

Can you take the side off the cot? That's the safest option. With a duvet folded up on the floor next to it.

A gate across the door might still work, especially if it's flat. Two of mine were early escapees. They used to use their toes to climb the bars. One arrived on the landing (having escaped the cot and a gate 😑) and announce "I'm out Mummy, Mummy I'm OUT". The other could even contort themselves under the stair gate (yey hypermobility). It's a fun time 😬.
I mean now she can climb out it then yeah we will just convert her crib into a bed, we only left the bars cause we needed to keep her in the bed, at her own home she's a bed now cause it's an apartment she's in so no stairs an also their guinea pigs are outside

Had a look online an can't find the yano gates so am assuming those are US, the only ones I can find that have no gaps in them have a lock that looks like she could probably open, I really don't want to pay money on a gate with spaces only to realise she can still climb up the gaps but unfortunately I really can't have her wandering the house, my pets are only in pens as they free roam during the day (when I can watch them) plus she gets to feed them so knows to go into the fridge to get food out, an there's times like tonight where I had to take her so not taking her isn't a option as well

Urgh why does this age need to be so hard 😩

I can answer this, I work in a hospital but our receptionists are trained the same way GP receptionists are.

They’re basically asking so that they can provide the GP with as much information as possible to allow you to get the most from your appointment and to reduce the risk of delays for both yourself and the rest of their clinic.

They need to be able to book the appropriate appointment length and type. Notes are added to appointments so that GPs have an idea of what you’re coming in for and they aren’t seeing you with no clue why you’re there. They are trying to identify potential red flags in your symptoms which is vital for the GP to know before anything else. The GP also needs to know; is it something you’ve been seen for before therefore they have previous medical notes they can refer back to in regards to your symptoms and treatment, is it a new issue but could be related to other health conditions you have, is it a previous issue but with new symptoms or is it a completely new issue but with no obvious cause etc.

Some appointments might need extra tests, blood work, nurse opinion, specialist opinion or even require you to be referred elsewhere which can be a lengthy process especially if it’s an emergency referral. If they have prior knowledge of you potentially needing a referral/extra tests they can book you a double appointment to allow extra time.

I think a standard appointment is around 10 minutes which is really no time at all when you take everything into consideration, especially if the GP doesn’t have any of the above information I’ve mentioned.

It also allows for better triaging and those that don’t actually need a GP but instead should be seeing a dentist, optometrist, pharmacy etc can be directed there without taking up a GP appointment.

You should never have to go into detail if you aren’t comfortable though and they should at least offer you the option of speaking to a female (if that’s what you prefer) or allow you to give vague reasoning before refusing a face to face.
Thank you for this, that's definitely helpful, I'd definitely prefer talking with a female but you just get whoever answers the phone, I might just give a very vague reasoning then, but it does annoy me I know they all gossip, it's what puts me off telling them things, but a very vague reason might be best

Topshop Jamie jeans are my favourite ever. I have paid £5 on vinted for them🤩🤩🤩
I own so many pairs of Jamie jeans! They are brilliant and much better than the Joni which don't seem to have an appropriate number of pockets. The petite are an excellent length as well which is so rare these days... Next I'm looking at you with your ludicrously long petite trousers 👀.
