This is a very personal choice and one you should make yourself. Weigh up the pro’s and cons.
From my own health experience I would opt for not being on the pill as I prefer not taking medication if I can avoid it.
I’ve had health scares in the past brought on by myself so trust me. Thinking you’ll deal with the consequences in the future sounds better than it is
thank you for the reply! I have only been off it a month so I think my hormones may need time to regulate atm so the fatigue and mental symptoms could settle in fairness,.

Is there anyone here who breast fed that can help me. No one in my family breast fed and i have saw 3 separate GP’s and still no help.

I stopped BF nearly a year ago now and there is clearly white milk stuck on the end of my nipple. It looks exactly like a milk blister on google images. It is so unbearably itchy it keeps me up at night. 3 GP’s and a consultant at the breast clinic shrugged it off and said it’s fine can’t do anything about it. Is that honestly true and do I just have to learn to live with it?
Have you tried anything to remove it yourself? Have they said it’s not a milk blister or just that it is but they won’t do anything?

Just look up private dermatologist. But they are super expensive.
Why not ask your GP to refer you
Thank you :) because gp’s aren’t taking appointments and it could take a long time to be referred. I work within the Nhs. I would rather not have to use A:/L for appointments etc. I was just looking for an easier way is all.

Anyone successfully got money back from Fitbit? My husband has just been charged £80 for a premium subscription (no emails, no in app warnings) and when he contacted the company he said “they don’t refund subscriptions”, instead we have to ask Apple for our money back. Apple say no chance because they’re a third party. I mean it’s fine it’s not like we wanted to eat this month or anything.
I’ve usually managed to get money back for things like this if I’ve forgotten to cancel after the free trial. I spoke with the company direct

Help please... I got offered a job yesterday full time but also trying to pursue the option of going back to study in September for a year now both kids will be in school. This studying will be a dream of mine since young.

no idea which route to take! Problem is the job was offered through friend so feel like if turn it down now I'll be letting her down...

I just feel so torn and need other people's perspective.
Well done! Nice to be headhunted for something 😎 I’d say that if you’re not desperate for a job right now you should stick to your long term goal to study. It might feel like losing an opportunity that’s fallen into your lap but you have a plan and want to stick to it, right? Or talk to your friend about part-time?

This is such a weird question but I’ve thought I had fairly straight hair all my life- both my sisters are curly girls- I had a bit of a moment and had the hairdresser cut my hair into a long bob and it turns out my hair is REALLY wavy and I have no idea how to care for it. It is still fine and inclined to be greasy though… anyone? It is a different type to my sisters so they can’t help

I would love nothing more for her to come back but I cannot have him here, he’s never worked, more than likely drugs, liar and just awful, i just can’t 😞
---

She has seen professionals but maybe needs to again, I’d do anything for her , he’s brainwashing her and bringing her down to his level, even his parents disowned him
He could be a manipulator and abusing her but also, he might not be. Maybe she sees something in him that others haven't yet.

You say more than likely drugs. Do you know this for certain?

I definitely appreciate you don't feel comfortable having in your home so that is not an option. That's your safe space so you can't have anyone there that makes you feel the opposite.

I would urge caution. Lots of young people have difficult relationships with their parents. It doesn't mean he's an awful person (equally he could be but it's important to keep an open mind).

You need to keep lines of communication open otherwise I worry your daughter will shut off. You're in a really hard situation. Can they stay at a hostel? At least it's a roof. You can help by providing food etc rather than actual cash if you're worried what it would be spent on.

As silly as it sounds, have you tried leaving it longer between washes?
I have but by day two it’s noticeably dirty! So the most I can leave it is like 2 days. I’ve tried training it over lockdown, or during school holidays and it just won’t Co-operate! It’s long, thin in texture but there’s loads of hair

Got a damp problem in my hallway and up the stairs. Someone from a reputable company came to have a look and said they need to take the plaster off, put some layers of (insert damp proof jargon here) to stop the wall from being wet then replaster. The wall is also freezing cold at the moment, he said this will fix that problem. Has anyone had similar and had it fixed? Going to cost a bomb lol😓
What is in the other side of that wall? The moisture has to come from somewhere and usually it will have a cavity to prevent moisture coming from outside. Is the damp rising from the floor?

That’s what I mean I’m a bit torn and feel bad. I have only said no to school days, just to add she stays every weekend. There isn’t really an agreed arrangement in place with them.

would caracal work? (https://caracal.club/)

you can basically watch the same thing on both your laptops so if you have DW on yours she can watch it simultaneously! i sometimes do it for an american friend who loves eastenders ☺
Thanks I'll check that out, she wants to watch it live so I need to find out how to get it on the laptop while it's playing on the TV so she can watch it at the same time it's airing

what channel is it airing on? Is there an Iplayer type option that you can stream on the laptop and share screens? I don’t know what DW is sorry.

If you can watch it via iPlayer type service, I would also suggest to your friend to get VPN as she will be able log onto a UK IP address and watch it as if she was in the UK
It's doctor who, sorry should have put that instead, she's going look at getting a vpn an changing locations but I think she was wanting to watch it as it was airing live in the UK as spoilers are going be everywhere after it an somtimes Iplayer is much later before they put it on there

Thanks, I’d made two complaints since September but there’s “no record” of them. So many people experiencing the same on trustpilot. I’ve opened another today because CISAS can only deal with complaints that have gone through their process. Their attitude was it’s not off constantly via Ethernet so they’re not breaching contract 🤡 I live alone and my security camera has been offline for months now because there’s no ‘optional’ WiFi.
Trading standards could be the best option, I had a fight with BT because they sold me somthing that wasn't possible, they tried to say they told me what I was getting so I told them to find the recorded phonecall an quite conveniently they couldn't find it so they allowed me out my contract without fees

But try seeking advice from trading standards, in these days everything works off WiFi so to say it's not something they guarantee is BS especially when they must know most people will relay on WiFi

It’s meant to be monthly. I do usually pay it manually but surely if they were to cancel it they have to inform me? :/ I have paid the amount as soon as I’ve received the letter but really worried about a late payment on my credit file and a default as we’ve literally gone to view a house we love today 😭
I experienced something similar recently. I checked the app and seen a late payment charge about 5 days after the due date. I was devastated, it was a mixup with dates and paid immediately. Called them and they removed the charge and kept the 0% interest rate. If you’ve done it before the next statement is generated you should be fine. There’s usually a period of 30-60 days before they report late payments. My provider had a tool to say whether it would appear on the credit file and he said it wouldn’t, but I still worry it will pop up. If you struggle to get through press the option to speak to the financial help team, that’s how I got mine sorted.

Sorry that’s happened to you. When you say a few cocktails, was it really only a few? As you’re right, that shouldn’t mean you’re so drunk you end up being picked up by paramedics. Is there any possibility you could’ve been spiked?
I’m not sure, we never left the table unattended, although I the drinks were prepared at a bar where someone could’ve had access. I really wish I’d stopped drinking after the first couple and got my parents to come pick me up as I attempted to get the train home but ended up getting off to be sick which is where someone spotted me and called the ambulance. I didn’t really need medical attention but I probably would’ve done the same seeing someone in that state.
