Thanks, I went to check and some of the boards were swinging off 😦 I thought they had to secure them? I called the landlord (we’ve got the same) but they were very blasé, said they’ll pick it up tomorrow. Hope they come out before the weekend.
That’s really dangerous- hopefully no one will get hurt before it’s collected

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I don't think it needs its own thread, so I'm going to ask here.
Do Premier Inn ever ask for ID?
My friend's daughter and her friend want to go on a trip somewhere in the UK next year, but they're only 17, meaning that they can't stay in a premier inn. However, it seems nowhere will take them under 18, so as they're both very sensible and mature, we wondered whether the best bet was for them to turn up and hope for the best? If they dress respectably and behave well, surely they won't ask for ID as they will look over 18? They just don't want to be turned away as they'll have nowhere to go and will be stuck.

Yeah basically!! One of my other issues that I always feel like I’m never good enough for relationships/kids etc. always the one who is good for sex or string along until they decide they want a girlfriend.

And I’ve only known this friend since October too. So it was hard navigating a friendship and now this.
Are you guys friends with benefits? I mean, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to but I can see more now why you’re tempted to tell him. That has to hurt 😔 I would focus on you, your future, and doing tons of short term things that make you happy.

I experienced something similar recently. I checked the app and seen a late payment charge about 5 days after the due date. I was devastated, it was a mixup with dates and paid immediately. Called them and they removed the charge and kept the 0% interest rate. If you’ve done it before the next statement is generated you should be fine. There’s usually a period of 30-60 days before they report late payments. My provider had a tool to say whether it would appear on the credit file and he said it wouldn’t, but I still worry it will pop up. If you struggle to get through press the option to speak to the financial help team, that’s how I got mine sorted.
Similar has happened to me as well more than once and my credit unaffected once it’s been sorted.
Sometimes it’s to do with bank holidays.

I have recently gained a bit of weight. For about 2.5 years, I worked for a team that worked me to the bone. Long hours and stress led to me barely eating. It took a turn for the worse when my dad died a year ago. I’m 5’1 and went from weighing about 43kg to under 40kg. I wasn’t starving myself intentionally but I was so stressed, I couldn’t eat. I was very thin and I was floating in my clothing.

Fast forward, I left my previous team and tried to stabilize my work/life balance which has led to me eating my three meals properly etc. The issue is now I’m constantly hungry and it seems my body is not satisfied with the food it gets.

This therefore has led to a bit of weight gain which I’m not too fond of. I preferred my body at my lowest weight which I know was not healthy.

I’m not sure how to stop being hungry all the time.

Has anyone experienced this?

My taste was like this when I had covid
same! @Hastaggifted - do you feel okay otherwise? if you start getting a headache or similar i would recommend doing a test. a weird taste that i couldn’t get rid of (like you describe) was actually my first symptom of covid.

(i also have had it once or twice as part of a really bad hangover though!)
I had covid last week, I have tested negative since. Could this still be an ongoing side affect? It's is disgusting. I feel fine in myself and no longer coughing.
I'd give me teeth a really good floss too just to be sure n take some antacid incase it's reflux. Is it better sitting up vs laying down?
It's the same taste no matter what I do. I've flossed, scrubbed my teeth multiple times and even brushed my tongue as far back as I can possibly reach. I've used corosodyl (sp?) To try and kill the taste. I have the minty fresh taste for 5 minutes and then the ear waxy taste come back 🥲.

I have Christmas food to eat and this is ruining my life 🤣🤣🤣🥲🥲🐷🐷

Has anyone ever experienced the below:

- Sudden pressure in left side lower back as if someone is sitting on it
- Extreme pain in that same area to the touch (without pressing on it it anything)

It came out of nowhere was I was out shopping.

Not a problem as such but hoping you all can help.
I need to write something formal indicating that I have ties to a place.
If I used the term ‘some’ so ‘I have been visiting for some 20 years’ would that imply 20+ years, nearly 20 years?
I don’t want to mislead but I don’t want to be specific. Thanks

I don't think you've been making a social mistake. You've explained you only do in certain circumstances and wouldn't do it in a rude way. I do the same to my kids sometimes when they are absorbed in something and calling their name doesn't work.
Thank you. I wasn’t intending to be rude, but my mother’s reaction definitely suggested it was ruder than I thought it was. I will have to think of something else to do in future.

Runners - where do you put your phone when you run? Bum bags don’t work for me, I find they get in the way and I can’t find a decent top or jacket! Help please! :)

More of a question than a problem.. I found an old purse that has about £25 worth of loose change. Mostly 5p, 10p and some 1p and 2p. Do I need to get coin bags and separate it all before taking it to the bank to deposit? I’m tempted to throw it all into a clear, plastic sandwich bag but not sure if they’d accept that lol. I’m with Halifax if that makes any difference.
You can pay it into your bank account at the Post Office too!

Any cheap travel suggestions? I have a mate needing to go North East- Liverpool Eurovision weekend and it’s looking at over £100 on trains. She doesn’t drive.
Could she go by coach? They are always cheaper but take longer. Or depending where you are a cheap flight?

Not really a big dilemma, can talk to family & friends etc however am curious to hear complete outsider advice. Am I being unreasonable for saying my other half’s daughter can’t stay on a school night?Just a bit of background - I’ve just had a baby, he’s 10 weeks old and I have two other children (previous relationship)

But she’s your brother’s family, at what point would you be willing to accept her? I take it you didn’t take a partner or spouse with you. What a way to bring your family together. If I was your brother I wouldn’t have come.
Luckily your not my brother nor are they still together. He is now married to somebody else who is universally hated by the whole family. And I’ve only met her at their wedding so this one can’t be blamed on me 😂

After a bit advice and recommendations.

Has anyone tried to re-waterproof a coat? I've got one that used to be water resistant but it's been washed a few times and I get wet straight away. It's a insulated one with synthetic wadding.
