They have the prices on the website in € but then charge the same amount but in £! Don't know if it's an accident or they're hoping people don't notice that they've been overcharged. Either way it pissed me off because it's already not cheap and they have gifted stays to loads of people!

It's no accident.. I understand they r trying to claw back lost revenue but I would be so happy to see let's say a family with a special needs child be gifted a stay or a sick child. U know what I mean. I would commend the hotel and also give them my business.
Ye brands really need to start realising that them using Influencers is actually turning people off and hurting their brand! Especially these days with people losing so much, the last thing they want to see is this lot showing off the constant freebies.
Terrie like someone has already said is taking the piss with all her trips. Yes of course you are entitled to go and I know you would be safe but terrie has broken a good few rules that we have all seen.

Jaysus calm down. This thread is about the actions of a specific person and her “Do as I say not as I do” behaviour. She preaches one thing and does another. No need to take it so personally.
It would put me off ever booking there. I stayed in Kilkenny hotel once for my partners birthday, spent a good bit on afternoon tea, dinner, prosecco and cake in the room etc. (Which i chose and had no issue paying for).
The day after Terrie arrived for a gifted stay, all of the above included plus a whole lot more. Really left a bad taste for me that that my payment was supplementing a free stay for her. Used to be one of my favourite hotels but would not return now.
I've considered cancelling hotels for somewhere else after seeing Influencers stay there because I hate this gifted rit so much! Unfortunately there are very few nice hotels in Ireland left that havn't sold their soul to Influencer marketing. My beloved Brooklodge has even started it

I really think businesses needed to do a survey on what customers think of brands using influencers to promote services and products because there is a list of them that i will not be using from the carry on of them since lockdown. Really lost touch with the public. This industry needs to be regulated because it is a joke what they get away with for nothing. They can do what they want there is no sanctions but cry trolling when someone like me disagrees with them. Maddening.

The Betsy in Swords had Terrie, Carol Byrne and Shannen Reilly McGrath and Katie Jackson there recently. All of them saying “thanks for having us”, which in blogger terms means thanks for the freebies! Terrie eating a cheeseboard and about 50 desserts washed down with cocktails. As if she’d ruin her figure like that. It’s actually so disgusting. Anyone who gives them the custom now is an idiot, funding all those free dinners.
