On a budget fb group and a single mum asked for ideas on ways to lose weight. Someone said Team RH and I said beware of the contact if it doesn’t work, bearing in mind it’s a budget fb page and she’s a single mum...

well the teamrh cult didn’t like it 🤣👍🏼 (Hope these are in the right order)

Any alternatives to Team RH that you don't have to sign up for a year and is more realistic.
Preece Nutrition is the former nutritionist from there and he actually spoke to me all weekend and calmed me down from having panic attacks due to them. So look at him for diet. Although I don’t think I can ever diet or calorie count again after this.

As for exercise I LOVE Christa dapaolo https://christadipaolo.com she does weights and skipping and boxing and all sorts of fun stuff. She also has some free workouts on YouTube to try. She is recommended by Fitbit too.

And it’s always “Sandra sitting on her arse watching Corrie eating crisps” not “working until 10pm at night on board reports because she’s career minded and working her arse off to get ahead”
He’s a raging misogynist in my opinion. Mummy issues.

Just had a post pop up on my FB timeline about counting chap stick, medications, sperm... I’m fucking done team RH. Do people seriously have time to do that?!
Just shows how out of touch with the real world they are. It’s quite frankly dangerous to tell people to track the calories in medicine. Not safe at all, or realistic, or sustainable!

If anyone injured themselves following these unqualified coaches and decided to take legal action, they’re fucked.

I WAS going to join RH but after finding this thread, it's a no from me. Like other posters, he seems too controlling, too shouty, too self righteous and a little bit controlling over HIS missus.
Take a look at Preece Nutrition. Peter was their nutritionist (he left there last year) and is qualified and really kind and supportive to everyone. You can ask.any question without fear or being shouted at or shamed. Peter really does help you.
100% agree, Preece Nutrition is the way to go. No shouting, no ranting, no patronising. He’s a lovely person who has empathy and compassion, and understands how difficult it is to struggle with weight. He also has an actual degree so I would much rather give my money to him than RH.

Picking up dog shit isn’t pointless.
I was thinking this 😂 he's vacant.
If someone went around picking up dog shit but wasn't even a dog owner then that's a good human being looking after their environment.

The only thing pointless is his post as none of it makes sense.

Have skim read this as Im on my way out but will come back and read properly later.
I got suckered in to this bull shit in January, genuinely thought it would help me gain some sort of fitness.
Paid my money, downloaded the app, tried and tried and tried to get in the facebook group to access the support over the course of 3 months and they NEVER accepted me. I put in all the details they wanted, answered the questions but nothing. And because of the shitty 'you have to pay for a year' I am still paying £6.99 for a crappy app that relies on MFP.
Has anybody had any luck in cancelling the direct debit and not being penalised. If not, is it a simple case of I can cancel next January and hear nothing more from them?
Ashbourne management are a cowboy company who got prosecuted in 2011 for sending fake debt collection letters to people for not paying contracts. Google it,it's all there in black and white. Their company is bullshit. Looks like they are still pulling the same bullshit. I'm going to make a complaint to the financial conduct authority and ofcom. You have every right to cancel if you're not getting what you paid for. Funny how more and more of us are popping up with the same story to tell. They need stopping. They're dreadful!

How can you compare a slimming club to a mortgage? The terms and conditions of a mortgage have extensive conditions, you are given all the information upfront, you know exactly how much interest you are going to pay over a set period of time against the sum you have borrowed. MY problem with them is that it was THEIR fault the DD wasn't collected, it was still active on my account and they then pulled a magic figure out of Richie's arsehole (seeing as he seems so fond of speaking about it) that they just expected me to pay. They couldn't explain to me how they came to work out this sum. It was something utterly ridiculous like £53.99 against £6.99? Not even the banks are allowed to charge those absurd percentages anymore. I may as well have been talking to my cat the sense I got out of the heavies they have employed to bully people. Would you like to accidently miss a mobile phone payment and pay about 150 -200% in charges instead of like £7.50? Probably not!

Distance selling is completely different to say a gym membership, which is the kind of contract he is trying to hold people too. He is not upfront either about the contract or the charges. The last time I looked at his "terms" he had altered them in March... hmm maybe because previously they were illegal. But thanks for your constructive comment 🙄
Well said as always!

Yep absolute bs! There was a guy on YouTube who ate at Maccies everyday (stayed within a cal deficit) and lost weight. It wasn’t the most nutrient dense food but it got the job done!
I think he tries to bamboozle people with all this stupid information, so when you say to him you are not losing, he will say, but you didnt hit your protein or your steps or whatever the excuse he wants to make for his 'plan' not working, its unachievable fòr many!!

Peter Preece is basically the anti Richie - he’s wonderful. I spent a couple of days messaging him a few weeks back. He actually sees his customers as people not paycheques!

@flibble123 I’ve not been around the group for a while, so not sure who you are - but I’m sorry he’s been such an arsehole to you!
Oh I read all of your posts one night and then posted a huge reply about my experiences, way back now on page 35 or around there I think haha! Lots of others are now coming forward to. I think they’re an incredibly aggressive and irresponsible company that only cares about bullying people for fun, their online image and getting money.

i thought i knew you but didnt want to assume. So pleased to hear you are sorted out and in a much better place. :)
Yep! I paid off the rest of my membership as I want nothing more to do with them. They are corrupt.

The time i was there it regularly went down, but if anyone dared question why the app wasnt working, the arselickers would be up in arms! " be patient ", "its mfps fault",nobody would admit it was rubbish and in the end, i think people were afraid to even bring up the subject, in fear of being slated!

I can guarantee you will receive all the help and support you need from Peter Preece. In the meantime , take care of you . Big hugs xx
Oh he’s been wonderful. I had the first good nights sleep in ages because of Peter, what a genuinely beautiful soul that man is. Talked me down from having constant panic attacks about the callipers. ❤ I went back and looked at photos of myself over the years and I look lovely. Who are they to tell anyone how their body should be. 😡

This breaks my heart to read. I remember when it all kicked off with him and an ex-affiliate who had the balls to stick up for herself and Preece, that someone said they were in the 'bulk group' and were pretty much left to their own devices. No coaching and advised to use calipers. I was never going to get to that level but I'd had enough by the time he called time on the calorie clubs . X

Yeah I’m not a fan of any diet groups, I’m not going to be following any diet plans anymore. But he is a genuine and kind person, who isn’t just trying to get your money at the expense of your physical and mental health.
I’m thinking I might not follow any diet plan as I think trying to diet is so counterproductive for me. I might just try to eat mindfully and up my general activity to see what happens. I feel like planning, tracking, weighing out food and calculating calories/macros is just tormenting me!

I did follow one of Rachel’s walkie talkies whilst walking round the kitchen once because I think I’d only done 3,000 steps that day but it was so mind numbingly boring I never did it again. Also tried marching on the spot whilst watching TV but my husband looked at me like I’d lost the plot so I quickly resumed my place on the sofa with a bar of chocolate 🤣

I do get the idea behind it, and showing even the most couch potato among us that we can get moving but no, not for me.

what or who is Preece Nutrition that someone has mentioned on a previous page?
