I joined for a couple of months but didn’t really feel like I got much from it. Once you have watched the exercise videos there weren’t any new ones The calorie tracking uses My Fitness Pal, which is a free app.

My particular annoyance was ‘El’ and her marching on Facebook, who is she, she is irritating as!
Absolutely, the tools he uses and information he gives can be found for free online. I do like the support of a group but his group certainly isn’t supportive so I’m glad I’m not paying anymore! The few affiliates they have left are the most annoying bunch of people they could possibly scrape together. And so unqualified! I hate watching the “walkie talkies” and folk marching on the spot, makes me feel dizzy.

I quite like El’s baking recipes but yes, the walkie talkies are beyond annoying. When I first joined I followed a few of those pages; adorkable, el and her friend she exercises with, chrissie but they’re all irritating so I unfollowed them all, except El but only for her cake recipes 😆. I don’t think any of them have any sort of fitness qualification though so I do think RH has a cheek using them for “workouts”.

The walkie talkies were unbearable. Years ago I saw a programme about eating disorders & one of the people on that marched on the spot to burn calories.

I did follow one of Rachel’s walkie talkies whilst walking round the kitchen once because I think I’d only done 3,000 steps that day but it was so mind numbingly boring I never did it again. Also tried marching on the spot whilst watching TV but my husband looked at me like I’d lost the plot so I quickly resumed my place on the sofa with a bar of chocolate 🤣

I do get the idea behind it, and showing even the most couch potato among us that we can get moving but no, not for me.

what or who is Preece Nutrition that someone has mentioned on a previous page?

Peter Preece was the Team RH nutritionist (he's actually qualified in it unlike some on that page) he left when all the bullying started and now has his own group.

I'm in his group and I've spoken to him about my own journey and struggles and he is the most genuine, down to earth person I've met (well online).

He wants people to succeed but appreciates that life can be hard and there's more to it that doing a million steps a day and becoming totally obsessed.

Thank you, that’s good to know. I’ll look him up on FB. I did sign up to the Food for Fitness Inner Circle (Scott Baptie) trial week for a £1 and although I like most of the recipes I’ve tried I can’t justify the £25 per month for what he’s offering.

Preece Nutrition is £4.99 a month and he always takes the time to respond to people personally (he even sends voice messages). He has an actual degree, such empathy and knows what it’s like to struggle with weight. I would much rather give him my money than most of these others who have never really known what it’s like to struggle with their weight and have next to no qualifications, and next to no empathy for overweight people!

Peter is lovely. I was in RH many years ago and he was so nice we still chat now.

Save yourself! 😆 Join somewhere else, anywhere else 🤣 Best of luck whatever you decide!
Haha thank you! I'm looking at James Smith. I just want to know how many calories max I should be having daily in order to lose weight.

That‘s a far more reasonable price. Thank you, I’m definitely going to look into his group. The lack of empathy for overweight people that Richie has is shocking considering they’re who keep him in business, so it would be nice to have someone who’s actually going to help rather than bully.

I think James Smith does a free trial that calculates your calories. There’s also a facebook group called Nutricrew that gives you the formula to work out your calories yourself, might save you spending any money if all you want is guideline calories.

I was originally with TRH and did well (lost 2 and a half stone). Loved it at the beginning but then it started to get bigger . The calorie clubs were fab.. until we realised they were being monitored and a couple of girls I got chatting to were deleted for having an opinion. Then it all kicked off with affiliates leaving etc. I joined Preece Nutrition and its a totally different atmosphere. Mr Howey has obvious mental health issues and I'm concerned for all those 'coaches ' who worship the ground he walks on. Peter Preece, on the other hand , is so genuine , gentle and genuinely concerned for each and everyone of his members health and well being. Team RH is a total farce in my opinion .

Well said. It baffles me that 50,000 people can’t see through him. I know most of us were duped at the beginning but his horrible streak is so obvious now. Surely people can see that losing so many staff/ affiliates is an alarm bell and getting rid of the calorie clubs was clearly just so he had total control.

Over 250k followers, not just their 50k members. People get blinded by the fact calorie counting is the truth, so they associate them with honesty, and second that with Rachel smiling, surely they are both angels? Then you look at the absolute path of destruction/enemies they have made, that is when people need to ask questions, are they really nice people?

I wonder how many of those followers/members are active on their pages or how many are like I was, dipping in and out but eventually signed up then after a few weeks got fed up but just never bothered to unfollow the members page. I followed them on and off for a while before signing up last summer but I clearly missed all the bullying as I’d never have joined if I’d seen that going on. I wonder how many others are the same. I have to say though, for some that I’ve noticed on there it’s like they’re part of a cult and they hang off his every word. To start with I liked his no BS approach but then I grew tired of the constant and unnecessary bad language and him coming across like a schoolboy trying to say those words to his mates for the shock value.

I like Rachel and there’s a part of me that feels sorry for her and that maybe she can’t see a way out of her relationship with him, but then I think maybe she knows exactly what he is and is willingly going along with him, and her smiley “good cop” persona is just an act 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you to those that recommended Preece Nutrition. After looking over his page I signed up late last night (1am) and even received a reply to my message before he went to bed! Have watched the videos on the members page and what a breath of fresh air Peter is; the whole group feels so calm and supportive and far removed from TeamRH. And no contracts!
