They may say we are trolls, but I actually see us on here as seers-of-the-bullshit, who come here to talk sense, as a refuge from a world of facade, fakery, narcissism etc.

Google email alerts maybe? ETA: no hang on cause then you'd only get them when someone uses your full name
Google alerts doesn’t capture forum stuff, I have it set for Jack and other people and it doesn’t ever flag forums or social media.

Hattie may well have google alerts for herself but it never would have come up in them, much less instantly (google itself doesn’t index content that quickly, let alone send out an email for it, they come once a day if activity triggers one) - she very clearly actively lurks and should be ashamed of herself being pally with Jack whilst enjoying this content, absolute snake behaviour and Jack deserves better mates.

even if she was working class, why does she think that excuses you for exploiting the background you come from once you begin making money? Most of the threads here have a theme. They dislike lazy influencers moving taking advantage of lower income people and faking they still are”one of them” flogging fast fashion/home stuff whilst kitting themselves with designer gear and bespoke furniture. 🤡 it’s the pretending you still relate for me just to make money x
Agreed, you’d love Jack’s back story lol. Her public profile was built on the story of being a skint single mum just getting by… however just what exists in the public domain unravels this:
* in her viral blog which has since been deleted but was immortalised in the first book she references selling an Omega Seamaster watch gifted from her parents? These are £2.5k+
* dad has an MBE for services to fostering & is very senior in the fire service. Mum was a nurse, there’s tons of fostering related press about them. Their 5 bed detached home address is on companies house
* the same companies house where her dad lists his profession as landlord. He was gifted 3 properties (1 in bricks & mortar, the others in cash) - this is public domain too on gov.uk
* she’s the non resident parent, son lives with his genuinely low income father.

So her very origins story is a complete lie and now she’s raking it in (at least £2.5k from patreon, more likely 4-6k pcm, plus all media appearances anytime anyone talks about poverty she is in there like the little leach she is) whilst pretending to be poor. She rents a £750k house she whinges about not owning. She’s sub influencer scum tbh, at least they do a few minutes work for it she just grifts and lies.

I never heard of David Baddiel before this but I think that documentary showed him in an absolutely dreadful light. Just came across like he was mad that he filmed himself doing blackface in the 90s, but he didn’t come across as sorry for it, he just seemed bitter that it has damaged his career. The only funny part was when he was crying about cancel culture, he basically said influencers and famous people should be able to say what they want online, put their opinions out and not get cancelled, however if members of the general public put their opinions out online then we’re jealous, bitter raging trolls?
And that sally hughes jesus christ, never heard of her either but she just seemed narcissistic and totally unhinged.

Tattle is not the problem when influencers are getting away with abuse like this (and making a lot of money from it).
And purely by dint of tracking influencers behaviour imo this forum prevents a lot of shady behaviour. The receipt-keeping here is impeccable 👩‍🍳💋

I forgot to add in and I was too late to edit the post. But the influencers and z-list celebs who complain about the site. They forget they have willingly put themselves in the media spotlight therefore making them a public persona who can be criticised and most of the time rightly so for their behaviour and the money grabbing shit that they keep doing. Their narcissism refuses to allow them to understand that not everyone is going to like, love and applaud you.

If you don’t like it, ignore it, it sounds hard and it probably is as it will irk at you, but you can’t regulate peoples opinions and thoughts to accommodate your feelings and ego.

Bit late to the show but I know that after one of Skinner and Baddiel’s tours, they gave a present to everyone who worked on it.

It was a signed photo of the two of them.

Samantha Brick is a twat. She’s the one that wrote that “other women hate me because I’m beautiful” piece (err, you’re not) and is married to an inbred French farmer/hunter who looked like a potato in camo pants.

I often wonder how sheltered a life one must have led if you think Tattle is the most hate filled place on the internet and akin to dipping your foot into a bath of acid. They must be the children of parents who never told them off or let them watch X Factor. Bizarre. And again, it makes me laugh that they’re publicising their article on Twitter, which is a cesspit of hate, misogyny and pornography.
If there really are people who think Tattle is THE most "hate-filled place on the internet" i dread to think how they would cope reading even a handful of posts on 4chan, lolcow, Kiwi Farms, or the nastier corners of reddit and Telegram etc etc

sure, i've seen stuff on here that is needlessly bitchy and there are definitely threads where some posters are unhealthily obsessed with the subject, but there are TONNES of sites out there that make Tattle look like child's play.

It pisses me off that these journalists do the most basic of research ie probably none. And fail to even acknowledge why Tattle is so popular. Yes for the gossip, but you can go to 100s of places for that. It is the fact that it caters for so much more than that. Advice on all manner of things, recommendations, hilarious posting along live to Strictly, Love Island, Bake Off etc, support threads, general chatter, robust and intelligent debate on so many topics and so much more. I've seen so many people say Tattle was a lifeline during lockdown.
Of course naysayers will say that is because we are all utter bastards and like sticks to like.
But it is obviously more than that, and journalists are far too swayed by 'celebrity', blinkered and lazy to even attempt to look at it from all angles.
So well put.

Would any article ever acknowledge how damaging influencer culture is to members of the public and how unrealistic it is for them to not have an opinion on influencers because it may negatively affect influencers. Why should public figures mental health take priority over members of the public?

Use of social media and influencers content has been linked to so many damaging things. There's countless people who say how much tattle has helped and how much they've learnt. But all we hear is its evil, should be shut down and anyone that uses here is a seriously damaged individual who's jealous.

Spoiler alert tattle isn't going anywhere.

I'm so 😴 with IP addresses. It's been said countless times it's a lie.

I'm a mod here and this is my IP address right now https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/92.40.168.149 and all it says is I use three and their registered office is in London, I'm hundreds of miles away from the location the IP is registered to and tens of thousands will also be using this IP. And in a few hours three will give me a new shared IP. It's as outing and easy to trace as a phone screenshot that shows what network I use. Yes I could in theory be traced if someone went to three with a court order and asked who was accessing tattle right now. But in reality that's never going to happen. Even if there was a serious crime it takes a long time and is very difficult to achieve any results.

I really hope people stop talking about the IP address thing one day.

Apart from anything they don't even have access to this meaningless data. It's a lie on so many levels that deserves no attention.

Influencers might as well say they're hacking into tattlers bank accounts and taking people's money that pass judgement on their last vlog, it's just as logical as the "tracing" lie.

I'm so confused, the author of the piece used the term 'glowed down' as an example of the VILE ABUSE people receive on here.

And yet ..... 🤔🤔

They dont see the irony that we know so much about these people because it is information they have shared. full names, dates of birth, partner's name, when they are holiday, what their bedrooms look like, siblings names, children's names, the schools they attend, ailments they have, their mental health history, it is all out there. How? Cry me a river

It's a wonder it took almost 3 years of the piss poor articles that failed to actually grasp why people gossip about public figures before they stopped popping up.

Jack Monroe spoke about tattle on radio 4 last weekend. Apparently it's people here trying to tear down working class women that have done good

Despite Jack not being working class herself and people are calling her out on her ever more complicated web of lies and constant rattling for donations because she claims her rent bounced, can't afford butter or something and is suffering from (insert one of 30+ different ailments she claims to have whenever she's trying to deflect from her fuckups)

Even that is such a grim misogynistic and ageist tropes and really tells on their nasty values - they’re all for scraping up 1-14% of their discretionary spend via affiliate links and fake female empowerment but when it comes to aaaany accountability from that same audience suddenly we’re all tragic bored mums or old women 🙄
But at the same time incredibly dangerous stalkery criminal masterminds 🤪

Probably to see receipts! As in, screen shots of influencers own idiocy.
You don't need to be registered to view attachments - we changed that a while ago as quite frankly it's busy enough and don't need to encourage people to register. It can be so exhausting keeping on top of the modding 🤯

Off the back of Captain Tom Moore's ghastly family, surely the time has for journalists to examine the grifting that goes on via social media? (Some people have a lifestyle funded by the scrounging). Rather than focusing on places like Tattle which seems to be the only place to consistently unearth and comment on their shoddy behaviour?

It's incredible to me that all these articles on tattle exist yet we never see this level of media attention on kiwi farms, now THAT site is hateful.

On the bright side, the fact PR firms are writing in grazia about this website must mean the public is becoming more aware thanks to tattle (since they've singled us out specifically) and it's affecting influencers' ability to grift without being held to account.

@ the insta huns, so sorry that you have to admit your handbags were gifted and you can't sell illegal diet pills on insta anymore, truly you are so oppressed xoxoxoxo
