If your child's Sat's are dropping whilst they sleep that is a serious cause for concern, what the duck is she doing I don't care if I had 20 other kids that one child's needs comes first at that time! It always sounds like it pisses her off more than it worries her she ain't the only single mother in the world. She keeps going on about how bad aaron is, so she is his sole caregiver correct? why is she not going straight to hospital?! What the hell are her followers thinking? It's definitely cause for concern you're right, my son was sent to cau as his asthma was playing up, his sats were low but said we could take him home and manage his asthma there, while they were getting his paper work my son fell asleep, when they came back in his sats had dropped to 88, we were told we weren't allowed home and ended up staying 2 nights, he should of been in hospital without a doubt or hesitation

So what happens if you have no childcare and you need to urgently take your child to the hospital but you have three others kids. Take them with you? Like not the best option but it’s an option. I don’t know a lot about hospitals but if she is literally in dire need of someone to look after them and won’t go to Aaron or doesn’t have outer support then what can she do? Take them all up there, call the council ask for free childcare… yes not a good idea to take your kids to a hospital but surely surely worst comes to worse there will be someone there to help? I’m not sure how other single mums do it the ones with no family, no partner, they have other kids and have no other way to get childcare? All I know is, Talia isn’t doing ENOUGH.

Also does Siennah get support for caring for her brothers and looking after her mum etc? The BIG sister having to help ALL the time without any say in the matter. Just constantly picking up the pieces because Mummy depends on her precious grown up daughter to help. She’s a bleeping child herself. Where is her Dad? Where is her outer support?

My child is profoundly brain damaged and have severe physical disabilities. We visit a children's hospice regularly for respite due to my child's condition being life threatening and limiting.
For Talia to behave in this way is seriously worrying. If and it's very likely Oakley has Aperts, he would lead a pretty 'normal' life.
Other children with other conditions don't.
I wish I could shake her and force her to come to a children's hospice and she can see with her eyes just how lucky she is.
Oakley is not in a stimulating environment. He's covered constantly from the world and doesn't look like he's ever taken out of his chair. She's purposefully sabotaging his development when he has so much potential.
What I and others would give for out child to have head control, to have fine motor skills, sit up, see the world. No matter how hard I and others try some kids just have a limit they reach with their development because of the severity of their disability. Its heartbreaking. We try so hard and it's taken years just to do something others think of as nothing.
Yet here she is, not seeing how amazing her son is, how much potential he has because she cannot be arsed. Its actual parenting. It's not being a 'medical mumma' its being a parent. You just have to give extra attention to stimulation and development. Give your child the tools to grow. She's given up. Too much hard work for her.
The tumble form chair she's been provided by the OT.... its not to attach toys to (another lazy I can't be arsed to play with him from her) it's for Oakley to be positioned correctly to allow his spine and hips to grow correctly. Help encourage his head control and for him to be PLAYED WITH. Get on the floor and play with him!!! I'll also point out Talia you are very privileged to get that piece of equipment because I know various areas of the UK have such limited, restricted funding when it comes to equipment for disabled children.
Usually areas provide a wheelchair or specialist pushchair, bath aid, a profiling or specialist bed and you'll be lucky to get a physio wedge. There's no gratitude for that chair which let's face it won't be used and another family who'd love for a tumble chair be forced to wait for a chair to be handed back from a family.

So much resentment. So much selfishness.

Now apparently he’s going to have an echo but doesn’t have an appointment yet…. But if his sats keep dropping (so talia says) and they suspect it would be heart related they’d have him in asap and they’d do all the relative checks. But they haven’t done that? It just doesn’t make sense!

My baby was 3 months old when he was sent to the childrens hospital for suspected bronchiolitis. He was unwell but while awake his Sat's were OK, he fell asleep then there was a mad rush to get him on o2 as his was around 82! Wee nearly lost him never once did I leave his side or shower for 8 days. Now I have really bad anxiety when he is unwell even with minor things so god knows how she's not flapping about and getting him seen. Its scary going through that isn't it? She just seems totally unfazed by everything!

I'm surprised they didn't do an echo before his surgery seeing as though they know he has existing cardiac issues. I had to have one before a neuro op because I am under a cardiologist. I've not had a flare up with my cardiac issues for years, I'm literally just having routine check ups but the anaesthetist wouldn't touch me without an echo before hand just to have all bases covered.

The hospital would definitely get him one straight away if they thought it was of grave importance. At my local hospital, they literally wheel the machine to whichever ward the patient is on and just do it in their hospital bed.

I said a few threads back that it seems as if she’s indirectly trying to cause harm to Oakley (the hairspray, leaving him unable to breath, etc) kind of like all the American parents who get off Scott-free when they ‘accidentally’ leave their kids in boiling hot cars to die.
