I have a 1 year old and was told they don’t recommend swaddling anymore as it can cause hip problems & to use blankets tucked in but when I had my 3 year old in 2020, we were told to swaddle and not use blankets! Changes all the time
Yeah just sounds like a case of advice changing over the years/ conflicting advice. I had my daughter in 2015, due any day now with my second and have heard all sorts which goes against what I heard a few years ago. Even when I google now, all articles conflict each other. I’m still personally gonna stick to the no blanket thing, maybe it’s just my anxietyYeah to be fair to her though, you’d trust it if the hospitals provide it and a lot of swaddles start at around 8lb plus so not all babies would be suitable. I couldn’t use a swaddle until my child was about 3 weeks old as they were too small.
I don’t slate her for using a blanket. If she didn’t, people would be saying the baby would be cold.
