Is anyone else having problems accessing help from their doctors? Our local GPs surgery used to be good, but has gone downhill in recent years since they lost loads of staff in a short space of time. They brought in temporary staff from other places because there were literally no doctors and the nurses had to deal with everything. There's one receptionist who's very gatekeeper-y, if that makes sense. She's really rude and obstructive, and she never seems to pass messages on. Once I had to cancel an appointment, but got a phone call from the GP because she hadn't told him about the cancellation.
Also, the new GP is so dismissive and it's frustrating. I went back to the doctors twice due to kidney pains and blood in urine, but she ignored it because my urine samples came back normal. When I told her about the strange colour, she just said that it might be period-related. Then I was prescribed antibiotics that I didn't need and ended up taking myself to A&E in the middle of the night where I was finally diagnosed with kidney stones.

I hate feeling like the doctors don't believe what I'm saying.
It's especially bad for mental health. I've been on two types of medication, but it's been about 3 years since anyone's checked up on anything. When they first prescribed the anti-anxiety drug they gave me 6x the usual dose by mistake. Last week I stopped the antidepressant (not cold turkey - I reduced it gradually) and I've been having severe panic attacks that might be connected to that, so I want to talk to them about it. Don't feel very hopeful though.
