I find her much more tolerable than most other influencers that I used to follow.

The only reason I find her more tolerable is because she has no hustle, she doesn’t need to climb to the top, she doesn’t need to force affiliates and spons on people, if she started doing ASOS, PLT, Zara hauls and brand work she’s be no different to them, and I view her in the same way.

If she wasn’t in such a privileged position she would need to take that work but she’s lucky that she doesn’t need it.

The privileged lifestyle doesn’t just come from her Mum and Dad. Her Step Dad (India’s dad) is a successful partner at the same law firm as her Mum. Being a partner at that place provides an annual income equivalent to winning the lottery. He’s super proud of her (especially when she graduated with her first, as any parent would be) and how she has created a role for herself that provides income, but I always get the impression that she rejects him a bit which is a bit sad. Or at least I don’t think I’ve ever heard her mention him being on the scene at all.

She does read widely and reads random stuff on kindle, it could be that her mum once bought it and she is reading it? There is a lot of different reasons why she might have opened it. She could have been just interested (I’m not sure why but maybe it’s been on her mind)

I agree it is totally bizarre that her parents are obviously total go-getters and are enabling her (well, her mum anyway) to live such a lazy, self-indulgent lifestyle.

That’s it, there is nothing different or original left about Jessie. I used to love watching her because she wasn’t like all the other cookie cutter influencers, she had her own style and did her own thing. But now she’s boring and is what feels like the 100th you tuber to “create” a jewellery line with a brand this year. Zzzzzzzz.

will say though her vlogtober this year is miles better than last year. Maybe because Zach is around more now which has made her happier? Which if so is maybe a little worrying that she's so dependent on him being around.

This is COMPLETELY off current topic, but does anyone remember that American guy that Jess dated just after James and before Zak? All the viewers hated him and slated him in the comments

I remember seeing him in Vlogmas. She has since privated a couple of videos featuring him, but I'm intrigued as to why her audience didn't like him? I wasn't following her at the time, just binge-watched her old vlogs when I found her a couple of years ago.

Agreed - it's so disappointing as she could do so much! I think a different job would do wonders for her.

I think he dropped out of uni because he got a job at lad bible? Doing filming stuff I think. But not sure whether he stayed there until he got into the chef training.

Bookandquills housemate, Rosianna does great book reviews too. It’s hard to find booktubers that don’t read YA, think that’s why I still always watch Jess’ reviews even though she’s just pouring out goodreads opinions.

I think she reads the books, I doubt that she would go that low~ but ofc just my opinion

So I used to watch Jess years ago but haven’t really watched her at all for the past two years but I recently went back and have been watching her old vlogtobers from 2015/2016 and they are so cozy and interesting I love them. Does anyone watch any youtubers that make similar content to that now??

I also think she's pregnant. It will be hard to know for sure if she doesn't do vlogmas and vlogtober, but I think she would end up announcing it anyway in a few months. Her reluctance to vlog and film in general lately could simply be because she wants to spend time with her mom but I'm not sure.

As for what they do all day... Honestly I'm sure Jess just reads all day and watches TV here and there, and she's probably fine doing just that. I do wonder however what Zak does all day. He must be bored out of his mind sometimes. I guess he takes care of her sponsors so probably some admin stuff but that's probably it.

in the first "house tour" she did there was a shot of the houses opposite which I recognised (I work in W London quite alot).
