I don’t think it’s quite as simple as this to be fair. Yes there is a right but it’s not easy to enforce that right when you’re giving birth through the NHS. You don’t just say you want to have a c-section - you seem to be put through a lot before it is confirmed, unless of course there’s a medical need for it.

Whereas if you have money like Jess, you can just pay to go privately and no questions are asked, you don’t need to ‘fight’ for yourself to get the c-section.

That is privilege and it’s a privilege that’s been afforded to the wealthy for a long time.
Absolutely- and in fairness I'm straying from my own point about using phrases like 'too posh to push'.

My original point being that we all should accept phrases like that attach stigma to something which many women have to consider as a birth option. How many women have felt ashamed of their c-section because of the negative attitudes around it, 'too posh to push' and the belief that it's an easier birth/ a bit of a cop out.

I know, its just so crazy comparing that life, couldn't be any further from most people's reality. Similar to Fleur who was born and married into a lotttaa money. And although her or Jess aren't exactly relatable, they seem a lot less try hard and less braggy than most influencers.
In all the years I’ve followed Jess, I don’t know who she is 😐
I felt I did when she was in uni, but she lost her way when she went to kings.
It felt like she did her masters to tick a box,
did YouTube to tick a box, but there was no passion for vlogging anymore.
She doesn’t even seem excited about her own house.
If I had only started following her in the last 2 years I’d struggle to find anything about her that’s worth watching.
I loved the way she dressed, the jewellery and piercings might not be my style but it was “her”
Then she cut her hair to copy another influencer, did that merchandise drop with Ana and sophdoesnails and saffron barker.
She’s sold out, but she’s also to lazy to have sold out completely.
zack quitting his job sums them both up as a couple. There is no drive at all.
I don’t know where she’ll be in ten years time. It’s sad really.

Jess gets the award for being the most out of touch and lazy ‘influencer’. She genuinely thinks that a ‘busy’ day is when you read a bit of your book and that it’s totally normal to take years out of doing any active work to catch up on your reading list. Not to mention having your boyfriend pack in his job to dedicate his time to taking photos of you.

Slightly off topic but do you know what I miss about old school YouTube? Genuine collective hauls of girls who had gone shopping and just wanted to show what they got. (Jess had great hauls back in the day!) Now the only hauls are sponsored - or a huge load of clothing bought because it’s trendy and most of it will be returned as it was bought solely for content. (Like how everyone was doing Zara hauls recently)
Yes!! Non-HD video, non professional lighting, in their room - 'I got some bits from American Apparel so I thought I'd do a haul...let's get into it' I definitely was 'influenced' A LOT more back then, nowadays I can barely be arsed to watch the non declared ads.

Now that Zak edits her videos, I don't know why she's so late with her uploads? What's the excuse? Is she that lazy that she can't make herself discuss books for an hour, something she supposedly loves doing?

Also I find it so telling that people were living in the house prior to it being sold and when Jess gave us the initial tour she seemed so disgusted by everything. She is the poster child of privilege. I despise the fake wokeness she performs on social media
I had no idea this was the case. Speaks volumes for her real feelings, doesn't it? I've always gotten the impression that she takes a politically correct stance only to remain...politically correct. It's like she's putting on a facade in order to avoid backlash. It wouldn't surprise me if she was secretly a tory.

I think she will be a good mum too, and I'm sure it has brought them a lot of happiness in this tough time of covid and her mum's illness. It's great to hear there is positive news about her mum too, I always thought her mum seemed cool and interesting even though we never see her on Jess' channel, she would probably be more interesting and inspirational than Jess to follow. 😂

I also agree a baby doesn't mean you can't do anything else with your life but from what we have seen so far I doubt she will start taking loads of opportunities now as she couldn't manage it before and is about to get even busier. I think the baby will do her good though.

I probably won't watch her content and will probably just follow along on here as I have no interest in YTers when their content becomes baby focussed, but I do wish her well!

Stop the shenanigans Jess, everyone knows you do sweet fuck all during the week whilst everyone else is slaving away at their actual jobs. Reminds me of that offensive tube post she made a while ago 🙄

I honestly would have never linked the pumpkin to her possible pregnancy if it wasn't for the comments here, however the number "22" written on it does make me wonder what it is related to. If she only wanted to write an address to the house, why not 31 or something truly halloween related? Plus the fact that it matches with the timeline... Idk!

Yeah I'm pretty sad. But I've been watching a lot of her old content recently and she hardly posts anything at all now comparatively. Not really sure how she can post any less because surely she won't have an income?
Me too her old content is really chatty and friendly and it actually made me uncomfortable watching her newer videos, you can tell before she really wanted to film but now it's like she's being held hostage more with every video. Not sure if maybe she is struggling to put on an act for videos these days if she's tired or if she genuinely is only doing it now because she has to.

I think she's uncomfortable showing her privileges, but she used to film "what i got for Christmas" type videos so I'm pretty sure everyone following her knows that she is rich. Most people also really liked her showing her gifts, I know I did. Maybe her mum doesn't want her to film the house? She did film a bit more freely at her Dad's house a few months ago, she showed the kitchen and some rooms pretty clearly, even the garden if i remember correctly.

Either way, she has been looking a bit miserable for months now. I think it's sad that even reading can bore her now cause that's all she does. Maybe she'd like doing her Doctorate, but during her Masters she didn't seem much happier... Could it be that her relationship with Zak isn't fulfilling? Corona and her mum's diagnostic aside obviously, I really wonder what has been making her seem so depressed the past few years.

But she doesn't realise that if she does her A levels in sciences, she won't be actually 'attending school' like the actual kids do. She will be at home, studying on her own. I think she really wants to replicate her life at school/uni but this will never happen. She is 26 - she will never be taken as part of 'the classroom' anymore. I think this was her biggest disappointment doing her masters. She didn't realise that doing masters is quite solitary and involves people from all backgrounds (people fresh from BA/BSc, people with actual careers taking time off for MA and older people with interst in the field). Hence, not really friendly and 'friends making' environment.

Although I do think Jess is lazy, I have no problem with her not pursuing some big career. There is so much more to life than labor. She has found a way to earn money with minimal effort, I wish I could do the same.

I think that her not having work ambitions probably played a big role in deciding to keep the baby (assuming that it was not planned).
Yeah I'm feeling similar about more to life than labour and if she is happy fair enough. Though I think for me it's not that she doesn't work it's frustration of watching someone who could do anything just sit around reading all day. I have so many things I would love to do if I had the amount of money and spare time as she does. I'm not saying she should go get a 9-5 or do a PhD just for the sake of it but she hasn't even travelled much for someone in her position, even small trips round the UK could fill her time more and be interesting content. She could work with a charity in an interesting role and bring awareness to a cause. Tonnes of things there must be something else she is interested in surely? But maybe she is happy just mostly staying in the house reading which is fair enough but it just isn't relatable as to most people it isn't an option and even if it were it wouldn't fulfil most people. I know I would go insane with boredom and I love reading.

It is interesting as it's a rare scenario to witness someone live the way she does so I'm not surprised it causes so much discussion and differing opinions. Particularly as vlogging makes it feel more personal than say people on Made in Chelsea so feels more like a real person, at least to me anyways.

Well, Jess went to quite posh girls’ schools and it’s not uncommon for grandmas to move to smaller houses, or for single moms to move to a flat while on the look for a new house, but yeah, who knows.

She wasn’t mean towards the previous owners in her video showing the house though. It was clear that the previous owners were older people who had just lived there very long.

Now I feel bad 😔 Shouldn't have said anything
Don’t feel bad! It’s a gossip site.

It’s possible people following/friends with her on GR were liking the update and that’s what altered her. Or maybe someone pointed it out to her.

If it is because she was reading here, then.... again, it’s a gossip site. 🤷‍♀️

i don't see why anyone would care about the way another woman gave birth, but the general opinion where i live is that a natural birth is much better and healthier, and women generally don't want a c section unless it's reeeeally necessary 🤷‍♀️
