Lacey isn't even learning anything new! He's just giving her stuff she knows. She's never going to learn to spell every single word in existence and memorise every single times table, nobody does that! He needs to move on and start teaching her stuff. Not sitting her down with worksheets she already knows and buying books below her level so he can sit outside or clean the house etc. He doesn't have a clue what he's doing. She could have been doing so well at the specialist school but they've taken the lazy option of not sending her, most likely so they don't have to deal with her being upset initially until she got used to it. Special needs schools can be amazing and so supportive. They could have really helped get her settled. They usually have access to other services too via the school. I feel like given a chance, Lacey might have actually got on ok with it. It's not like mainstream school.

What happened to teaching her life skills? She's watched a lasagne being made and tidied her room - thats it! They could easily work on life skills in the afternoon. She does a couple of hours at her desk in the morning and then the rest of the day she's glued to her laptop. I know very little home cooked meals are happening these days, but he's not even showing her how to put a pizza in the oven.

It's beyond a joke. They're massively failing her. Don't know how they can live with themselves knowing they're making her so dependant on them. Maybe that's what they want, keep claiming the disability money for her and Steve will never have to work as he's her carer. I know she's young and things could change, but that's the direction they're heading in at the moment by not dealing with the anxiety and keeping her so isolated.

Spot on.
Someone needs to step in and do something about her future and education if Steve keeps this up, cause he hasn’t got a clue what to do.

I think its pretty obvious at this point that they are deliberately holding Lacey back in regards to her education. Steve is always giving her the same old work just so that he doesn't have to actually sit down and 'Teach' her so that he can get on with other things around the house.

They want to 'Home school' but they don't actually want to put the effort in and educate her.

I really thought that they had made the right decision in regards to taking her out of school and teaching her at home but I have completely changed my mind now.

All she has done is regressed.

He should try to join some homeschool support groups I’m sure there’s loads on Facebook, they’re skipping most of the curriculum for year 7

He literally admitted to giving Lacey a task she wouldn’t need help with so he could do some cleaning. What the heck?

Did anyone notice Liam looked upset after Steve mentioned his shirt in PE clearly Liam interpreted that in a negative way not like they always comment on his weight a lot already or anything  his confidence will be ruined I feel like that’s part of the reason he didn’t stick out football club they didn’t encourage him to stick to it at all!

Can’t believe (well I can) they let him give up football after one session. They probably didn’t even do much in the first one, just sorting out teams and positions and that. Most parents would encourage their kids to try it out another couple of times but no, anything more than the bare minimum effort is a bonus with them.

Does Rache ever do much else in the day, other than work part time? It seems like she watches love island & eastenders or is on her phone! How about helping Lacey (which you never see) or walking the dogs?!! :coffee:

I think she does work full time but the hours are split so she has the break in the middle of the day. She doesn’t seem to help much with the home schooling but she definitely does more than she should have to around the house and with the shopping seeing as Steve does sweet eff all.

Also i remember that Vlog back in January i think it was, and Steve got Liam a PS5 ask i was thinking how on earth did he manage to get that?
Cause they were hard to get and were like 800-1000 at the time i think, and Steve is unemployed as well, so who’s pocket did that money come from?

She works fulltime and actually if you watch the latest vlog you will see it was her who was helping Lacey set up homeschooling.

She works fulltime does half the cleaning etc. Steve does half the cleaning and doesn’t work at all. If anyone of them is lazy Rache isn’t the worst by a mile.

I think they save up all year . I think they spend £1000 each on the kids at christmas.

Okay, well that's a first then! Steve gets the stick for a lot when Rache is just as bad! She doesn't walk her dog for example and anyone watching can see needs a walk! Does she ever take the kids out anywhere?! Blame Steve again I guess! :coffee:

How much will they spend this year, probably more and that's the trouble when you do this! :coffee:

Well yes i blame Steve he is the stay at home parent. Rache works he has all day to take the kids out . Maybe Rache could take the kids out if she didn’t have to come home in split shift and do all the housework and all the laundry . Maybe she would take the kids out if she didnt have go to the shops for Steve as he isn’t capable of doing it while she works. She has to take days off work to take the kids to the doctors and hospital appointments. But sure Rache is the lazy one in this relationship

Rachel definitely does a lot more than Steve. She both works and does the majority of the household chores.

However she is just as bad when it comes to things like walking the dogs, bedtimes, Lacey's home schooling and a junk food diet.

Steve is the one that does the majority of the cooking but they actually do the shopping together and she never stops him from feeding her children utter rubbish. I actually think she is the one that makes most of the decisions about the food.

Rachel allowed Sophie to get Milo just as much as Steve did, they had no intentions of walking him.

They both chose to remove Lacey from mainstream school and she never stops Steve from giving her work that she knows is to easy for her.

Rachel allows the children to mess around, eat in bed and stay up until the early house of the morning just like Steve.

Completely agree with your post . They are both terrible parents . Agree that Rache is the one who puts in all the online orders for the processed stuff from Iceland. But the previous poster suggesting she was lazier than Steve was the funniest thing Ive read on here.
