LIAM POSITIVE
Ask Steve’s saying stuff like him wanting the government to have sticked to the same rules before, such as the whole family self isolating, which makes you think Steve just wants everyone to stay at home and do absolutely nothing.

Most families wouldn’t want to stay at home and do nothing, they would probably get really bored and want to go out and spend time with family and friends, but for Steve i just don’t know what he’s going on about.

Steve would love that! He loves staying at home doing nothing and he would love not having to do school run for 2 weeks, oh and then it’s not far to half term then so he would just extend it and say to the kids that they deserve a treat of no more school until after half term 🤣

I’m pretty sure when the kids are off sick that its more down to him wanting them to be off.

And Lacey has been doing times table for like the past month constantly.
Seriously Steve, teach her more about maths like Shapes, angles etc.
I’m worried for her future when it comes to education.
She should have went to that special education school but Steve picks the lazy option.

They knew that there was a high chance of them catching this virus due to being near Sophie's friend who tested positive. However they still decided to go into two separate shops on Thursday unmasked. Steve also said that he needed to get a shopping list and card from Val, I really hope he didn't actually go into the house and collect it. Talk about inconsiderate.

I agree that the rules don't make any sense but there was no reason why Sophie should have stayed at home. Her arm ached after her jab, she wasn't ill. Steve just couldn't be bothered to do the school run.

I really hope that Liam gets over this quickly without complication. This family seem to catch every bug going and clearly don't have good immune systems. They should be giving him as many nutrients and vitamins as they can to help him get over this. Even someone in the comments mentioned vitamin D. Instead of giving him what looks like some kind of pasty, crisps and chocolate for lunch and chicken nuggets and chips for dinner.

Sophie always gets to stay off school for the slightest little thing. In fact, people used to comment on it years ago saying she was off school a lot. Steve even said when started high school things would be different now as she can’t be missing as much school. The other kids always get sent to school though. Chloe got sent last week feeling unwell and Steve had said he wouldn’t be surprised if she got sent home. And Liam has been going to school the last few days with what Steve described as a “heavy cold” (obviously they didn’t know at the time it was covid). I think Sophie would have been fine at school. Yeah she probably had a sore arm, but everyone else with a sore arm after the vaccine tends to just get on with things. She wasn’t unwell in any way and she was choosing not to take pain relief. She probably just didn’t want to go as Rose isn’t there at the moment and Steve gives in easily as it means it’s one less school run for him to do.

If Steve thinks the rules are wrong for changing, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually start limiting how often they go to the shops now. They can choose themselves to start limiting how often they go out and they can also choose to wear masks when they are out.

Soph is definitely the golden child. Always getting the most expensive birthday presents and treats throughout the year. Not her fault is it but I hope the others don’t resent her for it or they get the same treatment as they get older…

Soph gets golden child treatment from Val too she will often buy her stuff and not the others
. Oh Soph needs new make up etc etc. She also paid for her entire uniform when she started high school. Steve said at the time he was so grateful as now they only had Lacey and Liams to buy now. Seems a bit bizarre to only do it for one of your grandkids.

I wonder if he'll continue to give Lacey 'schoolwork' if Liam's not at school. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't, and he would think it unfair.
And if you're worried about the government rules changing...no one is forcing you to go all round the shops as often.

Is Scruff getting more bad tempered than usual?

I couldn't agree more with everyone, Sophie definitely has the most time off school.

The problem is, it really isn't fair on the children. The majority of time the kids have off, they are not actually ill its because Steve doesn't want to do the school runs. Then when the children really are ill he sends them in.

All the school have to do is watch the vlogs and they will clearly see that the children are not actually ill half the time there not at school. I wouldn't be surprised if they have had phone calls or letters about the kids attendance.

I think Lacey's 'Home schooling' will be dramatically reduced if not stopped whilst Liam is at home. She looked like she was in such a mood sitting at the desk in the kitchen, I would not be surprised if Lacey had moaned about it being unfair that she had to work and he didn't.

If primary schools do have a 'Fire break half-term' and Chloe is off school, they will probably stop home schooling. There is no way they would Home school whilst Chloe was at home.

That is one of the reasons she should be at school. Every time another child is at home or the schools break up at different times they stop her 'Home schooling' early. Lacey is old enough to understand that just because a sibling is at home it doesn't mean she stops learning. She has a terrible attitude towards education and I think they give in to her just because they don't want to deal with it. They have taken her out of mainstream school and taken away that anxiety so they really don't have any excuses anymore for reducing her education.

Lacey seems to be picking him up more and pushing his buttons . She is just copying Steve’s behaviour I think . Liam should have had a PCR test days ago when his symptoms started. I thought lateral flows were only for when you don’t have symptoms.

I have noticed that as well. The thing Is scruff is clearly telling them that he doesn't like being picked up, cuddled or having his treats/toys taken away. Yet they continue to do it.

If he turns around and properly bites someone they are going to end up in a very difficult situation with a very hard decision to make. It really isn't fair on Scruff, they need to leave him alone and respect his space.

Steve mentioned that his behaviour had started to change. How do they know that he isn't poorly or in pain? They really should consider taking him to the vets for a check up, I cant remember the last time he saw a vet.

I was thinking that too, that it could be because he's in pain from something. Not really fair on the dog if he does turn because he's not being left alone and he gets PTS.

Sophie definitely gets much more that the other children from Val and Bill. I remember when she used to stay there in the summer and would come home with bags of clothes because they would take her shopping.

They also buy her a lot of make up products as well. I can understand wanting to treat your grandchildren but things should always be equal.

We have always had dogs as a family and the first thing my parents ever taught me was to have respect for a dog eating and never touch them. I cant believe Lacey told Steve she tried to take his treat off him and Steve didn't tell her off.

Considering his behaviour none of them should be near him whilst he is eating especially the children.

I think the reason they are having so many problems with Milo having accidents is because he isn't getting walked. Taking your dog on walks is what helps your dog to properly digest their food. They often go to bed very early, so the dogs must be going a long time without being let out into the garden unless they bring the dogs down late at night before going to sleep.

Those treats they always get the dogs from B&M are awful as well.

They just don’t know anything. They didn’t tell Lacey off for bothering Scruff because they don’t know that hounding a dog while they’re eating will cause them to get annoyed. They don’t know that Scruff is problematic because he doesn’t socialise because they don’t actually know that dogs need socialisation outside of the house. They don’t realise Milo has health problems because of lack of exercise and crappy food because they probably don’t even know that a dog can’t just be fed any cheap crap from B&M. They’re so thick I don’t know how they’ve gotten this far in life.
