Really, a pot noodle at 9.20am? Could he not have made her some actual food with nutritional value for breakfast then given her the noodles for lunch? It's not like Lacey can boil the kettle and make it herself, he happily made her a pot noodle for breakfast.

I know we talk about their diet a lot but the girls are so pale, they are clearly lacking the vitamins and minerals they need. They just think its funny but I seriously wonder what there health is going to be like in 10 years or so.

Also why does he keep saying there isn't much planned or much to do? They are supposed to be home schooling there daughter. The poor child has been doing times table for about 7 months straight because they either cant be bothered or are not capable to teach her anything else.

I think he takes being able to go anywhere he wants during the day for granted. So many parents out there who homeschool and work full time and can’t drive. I hope he does something soon it’s just a sad state of affairs. They don’t even need to take her anywhere that costs money, a nature reserve or somewhere like that are usually free to visit.

Steve standing there telling us that Lacey can't retain information when she is sitting on a chair right in front of him.

Yes, Lacey can. She just couldn't find the sheet that was written on because the desk was a mess.

Saying that just before her spelling test really isn't very encouraging or supportive is it.

This is supposed to be a positive home schooling experience. I really wish that he would relax a bit and stop trying to rush through things. He has taken on the role of 'Teacher' and she will look up to him to guide her in the right direction and build up her confidence. They all just need to calm down a bit and not get stressed because she will feed into that emotion and she will become stressed about the work as well. Just enjoy the time together and see learning as a something fun and exciting.

I really hope they teach Lacey beyond the basics of subjects and allow her to get in more in depth with things she is clearly interested in.

I’ve never known anyone to home educate the way he is if the child isn’t going back to school. I don’t understand why he’s doing spelling tests and math tests. He claims she didn’t learn at school yet all he’s done is recreate a school type environment at home ie sitting at a desk doing tests! The only maths she does is times tables. Is that all Steve knows? Teach her about money and bank accounts instead, she’s not going back to school so teach her something that’s going to help her in life. That piece of paper she was looking for with the words on it was just mislaid, it was nothing to do with “not retaining information”. It wasn’t in the right place for starters so of course she couldn’t find it! Instead of pointing the camera at her he could have helped her look for it given the mess of the desk. It’s only been since she’s been taken out of school he’s started with the all this “she can’t learn”. She can learn, just at a different pace and in a different way.

The fact he said that about a mislaid sheet is really hurtful. He almost was rolling his eyes instead of putting the camera down and helping at the earliest opportunity. Rather than humiliate her on the internet help her! Yes, I know he was trying to let her do it on her own but she was clearly getting a bit flustered and it probably brought back bad memories of school and being told “you can’t retain information” over something so minor will destroy her confidence over time.

I’m genuinely shocked he kept that bit in - plus surely they could easily do a tidy up of the desk every day/ensure she tidies it away so she doesn’t have an unnecessary added stress at the beginning of every day. I’m not claiming to be a teacher or good at tutoring but wouldn’t it be a nice task for Lacey to write a short story/short passage about something she really likes or enjoys and then check her spelling that way? That would make it way more appealing and fun for her and actually will test it more I feel - she could be more memorising the spellings than processing them if that makes sense.

His life is soooooo boring!!! Only excitement is food shops and he says he hates them. Liam, lacey and Sophie didn’t go for the food shop so they never left the house from Friday 4pm. They honestly need go get a grip of their life

He said that this week was better as it had passed quicker and didn't drag as much as the week before, or words to that effect. Then he says he wants snow and Christmas. He is always saying he can't wait for the weekend. It's not like he's waiting for some time off from his job. Monday comes and he moans about it. He probably spends 15 minutes ironing their school clothes and it's not like he makes sandwiches for their packed lunches. Then the weekend comes and they do nothing. He is always looking towards half term. He is wishing his life away. He doesn't know how easy he has it.

I don’t understand why he’s always counting down to the weekend and school holidays either. They don’t do anything. Then in one of the vlogs from today he said he feels like by Saturday evening the weekend is over??! What a miserable attitude. The weekend is hardly over by Saturday evening. Maybe if they got out and did something on the Sunday there would be something to look forward to.

It’s the same way he tells the kids Christmas is over before they have eaten their christmas lunch .

He definitely doesn’t realise how lucky/easy he has it. Being a parent is a full time job I’m not denying that but there are plenty of families who have to have both parents working or a single parent working full time in order to survive day to day. Plus it seems like when the kids get back from school in the evening he seems to go to bed before they even do? And when it’s the holidays he seems like he can’t wait for them to go back to school to “get a break”.

There are parents who have to work full time in order to feed their children and keep a roof over their heads and this family just get everything handed to them on a plate.

Yes, I know Rachel works. However she doesn't work enough in order to give them the lifestyle they have.

Steve has mentioned anxiety before and he is always talking about his 'tablets' so I am guessing that is why he has chosen not to work. His anxiety or whatever clearly isn't that bad as he is able to publically record himself which is something someone with severe anxiety would not be able to do.

On the latest video, Steve has bought and English and maths book for Lacey and if you read the bottom it says Key Stage 2 as well as being 9+ on the top left corner.
And steve says “If it what works best for Lacey”
No.
What would work best for Lacey is bringing her to a proper place to get the best out of her education like that specialist school where she can at least get far more of an education than what she learns at home, as well as socialising with other kids her age.

Instead of going forwards, Steve is making her go backwards, and that’s not right, it’s not just english and maths you learn at secondary.
It’s like Steve has the mindset that she’s still in primary school when she clearly isn’t.
I really hope someone steps in and does the right thing and tries to help Lacey go to a proper place of education, not staying at home with worksheets and having a day off on a wednesday.
