I always got the impression that Faye Lee and Lisa we’re very bitter about Claire and H because they had the better vocals and went on to do a duo after the band split a lot of jealousy

Watching the documentaries about them they all seemed to hate each other

I have read Claire’s book once, didn’t their relationship start as an affair?

I can understand him being cautious about her going back into Steps. It doesn’t sound like Claire enjoyed it and I’m not sure she was the driving force behind the reunion.

Yes, from memory of the book it started as an affair, he stuck with his partner and she married someone she didn't even like that much while fantasising about the cheater interrupting her first wedding and carrying her away. I feel sorry for her first husband. Otherwise known as the second of two men she's fucked

I’ve loved Steps since they were around the first time. I was gutted on that Boxing Day when they split up! I remember mentioning it to a fellow Steps fan friend at school when we went back after Christmas and she wasn’t bothered!
I’ve always liked Faye and wanted to be her their first time round! I’ve never met her, but would love to! It’s nice to see that she is as lovely as she seems. She seems to live a very normal life in the North East.
I’ve always loved Claire’s voice, but the reunion tv show confirmed that she is a diva and an overgrown child.
I think that Lisa seems nice enough, but is very delusional about her own talent! She is a below average singer, but thinks she is Claire’s equal. She is also a pushy stage mum and I don’t think that having your own children front and centre in every production is a great way to run a theatre school/business.
Lee seems very bland and boring. One of those guys who looks good but has no personality!
I’ve always found H annoying and even more so since Steps returned. He was like an overgrown child the first time around and now he treats his sexuality like a personality trait and I think he deliberately does things to shock. I think that he is trying to capatalise on it and get attention for it because he didn’t get it in the 90s and early noughties. All of the ‘I’m a gay you know’ stuff is annoying! There’s a guy at work who is gay and he doesn’t announce it every day in the office - or at all actually. I guess because I don’t judge someone based on their sexual preference is why I find it tedious for it to be woven into everything that H does. Homophobia of course still exists unfortunately, but I think he likes people to be aware of him and he is not always aiming to raise awareness. I’m not blocked by him so far! I’m not sure what his motivation is for all of this, but he is clearly enjoying the attention.

I think it's highly unlikely that the only two people she's ever shagged are her two husbands....

I'm rewatching steps the reunion, which at nearly 10 years old is out of date now. Still entertaining though. I think faye comes across quite bitter on it, but Claire won't apologise either so I can see why it's hard for faye. Lee comes across the best and Lisa even though on stage Lisa really annoys me.

I agree, scared of the dark album a few years ago was great and the brand new one is really good too. Videos are so boring now compared to the old steps though! J suppose videos aren't that important anymore !

Saw them in Sheffield a few weeks ago. Thought they were great but definitely got the vibe that Lisa wasn't ok. When they were singing heartbeat she looked a bit lost and forlorn until H grabbed her hand and gave her a reassuring look.

Talking of splits, rather old news but Faye has split with her husband Michael. Moved out of the marital home November last year.

I only realised following Faye's post of being in Jamaica, noticed no husband and son (again), went to her followers/following list, noticed husband was no longer on either, text Dad about it and he said oh there was an article in May they've split!

I remember reading that article, then the husband put a quote on insta which I thought was really sad "I met you when I wasn't looking for you, and lost you when I loved you the most"

Yes me too!! Lisa and H seem to be best buds again. I used to really like H but he seems cocky and arrogant rather than confident and humble.

There definitely seems to be a sort of divide with Lisa and H on one side and Lee, Faye and Claire on the other. And yes, H seems a bit of a prick.

Lee isn't as nice as people think. He and his wife are using their kid for attention and #ads#gifted, a few of his posts. Couldn't even pay for the cake for his kid's 1st birthday, it was #gifted and made by none the less a Steps fan who the party planner knew. The whole party was just product placement. Even the latest lovely memory of having a picnic was so set up just to plug the latest freebie.

Some of his IG posts also imply he is only in things for himself. Following the LQBTQ awards he put up the pic of himself as the main post pic, the rest put up a group pic, he did the same again for the ad for the WTFH Tour DVD. He didn't even bother to acknowledge his friends on his post about their vacation, who gave him and his wife and son hospitality for 2 weeks at their villa in St Tropez and looked after them when he flew back to the UK for a Steps gig. Anyone would think it was just him and his wife/son staying in a villa they had rented by themselves.

His post about HM The Queen's death came however many days late and is a pic of them in concert with the Queen on the screen behind, the other members posted on the day or day after with a pic of her and a fitting tribute.

From his expressions in pictures/stories it seems like he doesn't really want to be there. He put up a post during album promo week about how it had been a long week of signings/promo etc and how it was hard being away from family etc. The others didn't put that they showed themselves having fun and enjoying it and not implying it was such a chore. He just wanted people to thank him for turning up to his job. He really is self-absorbed.

I watched Totally Scott-Lee for the first time. I kinda felt sorry for Lisa which I wasn’t expecting! I don’t like her Husband. I met him once before he was in Hearsay, he was in a band called Boom who supported Steps on tour. Boom were nicer than Steps were. Well I never met Claire and Lisa so I can’t comment on them.
The Steps reunion I thought by far H came off the worst. I loved him as a teenager, as an adult he is up there with people I would not want to be trapped in a elevator with!

H came across as an almighty bellend on that documentary they did years ago. I felt sorry for the others having to deal with that personality type.

Can't remember what one I watched but he went mad about Claire I think it was letting slip he was dating their manager Tim Byrne to the rest of the group. He got a lot of special treatment because of it as well from what I can remember, including getting to fly with Britney on her jet when they supported her in the US but the rest didn't.

Does anyone else remember when the asshole from hell Ian Watkins from Lost Prophets news came out and a lot of people rounded on H thinking it was him? It wasn't just the public either as some TV shows put his picture up when talking about it. At the time, he said he was gonna sue but I have no clue if he did or not.

I have no goss at all but am a HUGE Steps fan. Lisa is the craziest of them all and Totally Scott Lee is the best programme ever, she is such a cow and totally deluded she's also aged shockingly badly compared to Claire and Faye. I would also love to know Claires weight loss secret as having read her book I find it very hard to believe that it came off naturally!

I used to think Lisa was pretty, back in the day. Please don't disillusion me and say her looks have gone.

They said in the reunion documentary they were and that for long while they hate the two of them but I think Claire and Faye are genuine friends again now you never see the girls randomly with just Lisa ever noticed till even h any more with just Lisa I think she’s too much for them all

I think Lisa and H always had the view they were original members and kind of bonded regards that and been Welsh. I can imagine when they were spending 16 hours a day together at the height of their popularity they all probably wanted to murder one another, some more than others. I think Faye is genuinely good friends with both Lisa and Claire but I don’t think Claire and Lisa would willingly socialise with each other without band commitments, they just seem very different people. Nothing wrong with that I work in a department where I struggle with certain individuals but would willingly meet others out of work. I think Faye probably blamed H more than Claire, Lisa blamed Claire more than H and I’m not sure regards Lee, I think he’s likely more blame H.

H and Lisa really took the ‘queen of huns’ joke a ran with it huh? Lee also looks a bit pissed off with H constantly referring to him as a DILF.

The whole Hun thing is so cringy. I wish they would just stop it.

I've noticed that too about H making seedy comments to Lee. I find it quite rude and disrespectful to Lee and his wife, I know it's probably said for a "laugh" but Lee doesn't look to pleased with the comments very often.

They really did! But I can’t blame Faye, Lee and Lisa for being bitter. I was shocked to find out there was so much bad blood in the band so early on over singing or lack of for some folk. H having a relationships with the bands manager and keeping it hidden for what 4 years? I don’t think went down well with the others. There must be pressure on Claire as there is no Steps without her.
