Seriously considering picking up Stardew again now thanks to this thread. Although I'm debating buying it for the Switch. I know, no mods, but Stardew gives me cosy curled up on the sofa vibes and I can't game like that on my PC

I was just about to post something similar! I want to start a new farm but the beginning feels so slow!

I have it on both switch and PC, I had it on PC first because I had a laptop and liked playing in bed but a switch is sooo much more convenient for that!

Super excited for the update! I mainly play on mobile, but I'll probably start a new farm on my laptop just to see the features in action myself, rather than getting things spoiled for me

I've only ever married seb but on pc I have the anime portrait mode an some of them look pretty cute that I might marry others

I've only done the joja run for the achievement, it does make it a ton easier an you can complete it all pretty fast if you grind fishing, but I kindi enjoy the hunt for things with the community centre so I tend to stick with it

I started a new save on my switch when the update come out for it an my good the slowness of running on it, pc mods have ruined me

I LOVE stardew! I only just found out how you get the cinema last week, can't believe I didn't Google it sooner!
I wish my character could live on ginger Island but can't leave the animals for too long (plus Elliott would probably neglect the kids and bugger off to the beach).

At the moment I'm getting really frustrated with the Simon says game on ginger Island, it's too fast for me

Confession: I hate Skull Cavern with a burning passion and couldn't get a prismatic shard for ages, so I cheated with the item code and got a galaxy sword the easy way I'm slightly ashamed but not enough to go through the cavern the proper way.

To be honest even with the galaxy sword, I find the Skull Cavern awful haha. I'm sure I haven't always found it so hard but in my current save file, I seem to lose all my health immediately despite being combat level 10!

I have crystalariums creating jade so I can buy loads of ladders from the desert trader on a Sunday and just use them every time I go in there!

Am assuming you can play how many years you want an it's not capped at somthing? I see a few of you saying your year 3 or 4 an on a new playthrough, but I seen someone on YouTube that's in year 10, so I assume yous just want to start a new one after so many years then

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can just keep playing and playing - I'm on year 7 on one game. It depends how quickly you get through everything, you can take it as slowly or as fast as you like. I tend to rush through then get bored and start again.

Has anyone had a go with the new update yet?

I was going to wait until the switch version came out since I prefer the controls on that but I'm really tempted to start a new farm on PC!

I’ve started a new farm and I’m about 2 weeks into Spring! It’s got lots of new stuff, I’m really enjoying playing properly from the beginning even though I’m almost at perfection on my most advanced file!

I really want to try Stardew Valley but I have no idea what it actually is or what you do, is it like Animal Crossing? A lot of the people I talk to online also play AC so makes me think they're similar?

It's kind of similer, I was a huge AC fan an kept getting told to try stardew but it's 2d pixel look put me off so when it come out on game pass I decided to try it an I got hooked on it, now I've went an bought it for my switch as well

If you have game pass it's worth trying it out

I've just started this game and Iiterally have no clue what I'm supposed to be doing

The great thing about Stardew is that there's nothing you NEED to do really, you can do whatever you like at your own pace

I've been playing Stardew for a few years now and there are still some things I discover!

To be honest, I have never bothered catching all the legendary fish. The process of trying to catch them frustrates me too much
I think I've only caught 2 or 3 so far.

Oh, when the Night Market is in town, definitely go on the submarine! You can catch blob fish there, they're so cute

Has anyone ever turned there kids into doves yet?
I can't bring myself to do it. I did divorce and wipe my ex's memory already though. I know I ditched you for Leah, Elliott, but we have two kids together, we need to be on speaking terms!

Also, am I the only one who dislikes Pierre?

Has Lewis shown you the community centre yet? You either complete the bundles in there to restore it or you go to joja mart and buy a membership there which leads Lewis to sell the community centre to Joja.

Ahhh OK, yeah I've done the spring stuff for the community hall, thought I had to do that anyway, I'll probably just go down that route then since I've started it an honestly the jojo guys a bit of a twat anyway

I have it on both switch and PC but I don’t think I can wait for that the switch version as I’ll get fomo!

as for mods, I think I just got mine from nexus mods! Not sure about gamepass but it was fairly easy on steam - I’d check any download instructions etc. I don’t think any are harmful but it is quite easy to remove them from what I recall

I think Shane has great character development, but it all vanishes after marriage, which is such a shame
I married Sebastian in one of my saves, just because I never bother getting to know him otherwise and tbh, I shouldn't have. He's such a grumpy guy, even gets annoyed when his spouse gives him a kiss Divorce waiting to happen.

Definitely just can’t find the bachelors these days in my previous save I got Sam to boyfriend level but never went any further with it! Starting to think there’s a reason they’re all bachelors

In fall of my second year of my Four Corners farm. Originally started out with a co op farm with friends, but then there was a glitch where the game kept running in the background, we came back to find that a year had passed, our farm was completely overgrown and all our animals hated us (understandably as they’d not been fed for a year) Along with festival glitches where we couldn’t start/ end them, we just went solo in the end! Which was a shame as it’s a cute game to play co-op, but it’s been good doing it the second time round having used the Co-op as a practice run! I’m currently collecting walnuts on Ginger Island, some of which I’ve found on my own, but many through watching YT videos! I don’t know how anyone could find them all on their own!

I find the people so dull after you’ve had the 10 hearts. All that build up and excitement and then they just go back to super boring dialogue
