Finally got the mods to work an omg I don't know how I'd ever be able to go back to vanilla stardew I have modded the absolute hell out the game, am hoping that with the update it won't break them too much as I've so many that I don't think I'd want to redo it again lol

CA said there's no release date yet but I really hope it's soon-ish as I've had an itch to play but also want to start fresh for this update

Jas looks so cute, I am so looking forward to the winter outfits! Can't wait to see my ultimate fave, Shane's winter outfit too. I want him out of that damned holey hoodie he's always wearing. I hope they release the update for mobile quickly too, I don't want to be spoiled for anything before I get to see them for myself!

ALSO - unrelated but! I find planting so inane and tedious on mobile. I've got my junimo huts set up to remove the tedium of harvesting, but planting is just boring as hell for me... I wish I could easily automate the farm on mobile and get mods /:

I've recently started a new save file plus a co op with my boyfriend, although we've both gravitated towards using our own save files. I've recently married Harvey in game but he's giving me the ick big time, starting to think I'll just keep him around until I get the option to have kids and then go it alone

I’m currently in winter and it’s so boring just a load of fishing and collecting items I guess! I’m too scared to go into the skull caves in the desert, I nearly die immediately but I want Iridium

Am the same, really need iridium, was dissapointed the metorite only gave a few ores, am back in spring now, finally married sebastian an he's great lol, he's watered my crops like 4 times now an fed all the animals twice

Same, I've started trying find other games to keep me going, it feels like it's just never going come out

Am kindi happy the update is finally coming to consoles, although with the amount of mods I've put on pc I might find it hard to go back to no mods

I really feel this. I hate the mines and skull caverns so much and have mods on my Steamdeck to make them a bit easier (one that shows you where the ladders are and an elevator for the skull caverns). If I play on my Switch, I miss these soon much. The other one I love is 'look up anything', which gives you so much more extra info about items and crops.

You can display them in your house though. There's special pedestalls.

I actually loved the routine of it. I haven’t played for a while but I found it very comforting just doing the same thing every day. Caring for my farm and then hoeing my way round the town dating everyone

Do you use mods? I've only ever played the game og version but some gamers on youtube swear by some mods. I'm especially interested in the ones that make the fish visible and the reflections mod (it gives puddles after rain and at night you can see stars reflected in the lake cute). Might try them. Does anyone have other recommendations?

I never till I got my pc an now I don't think I could go back to og stardew I try not to get ones that change the game too much though, the only one I have that does change it a bit is I have stardew expanded so slightly bigger map an some extra characters, other ones I have is the speed mod which gives me same speed around the map as what the horse gives, an the skip mini fishing game because am not a fan of the fishing, then the others I've got are just for looks like changing the style of buildings an portraits etc

But there's thousands of them, you can get new maps, new characters, new clothes, new events like market day, dates with the character Halloween an Xmas stuff, new fish and veg etc even new storylines of characters an being able to marry some you can't like Pierre

I've found my people!! I've played SV since it came out, on and off.
I'm currently in my second year, winter in the four corners farm - my husband was supposed to play but he gets bored of these games quickly so lasted one day

Accidentally romanced Sam - but got the ick because we snuck into his house so now he's my boyfriend and I don't know how to dump him but I'm trying to romance Harvey and Sebby lmao.

I wonder if who we go for reflects our own ages? I find Sam, Abigail, Alex and co quite young as I'm 27. But for some reason Sebastian I'm ok with, because he doesn't seem like I'd have to sneak into his house and has his shit together a bit more! Maybe I'm wrong as I'm only 4 hearts in with him and Harvey.

My husband looks similar to Harveys character but has the emo boy, introverted personality of Sebastian which is why I can't choose

I'm currently TRYING to like ginger island. Just got there for the first time. I've built the farm house but I'm fuckin sick of the walnuts. Definitely just gong to buy them all.

So obsessed with this game. I'm currently on year 3 of my 3rd play through.

My tips - hang on to a prismatic shard of you find one so you can get the galaxy sword. I always make sure my 1st one goes to that.
If you find a Dino egg, save and hatch it.

Confession: I hate Skull Cavern with a burning passion and couldn't get a prismatic shard for ages, so I cheated with the item code and got a galaxy sword the easy way I'm slightly ashamed but not enough to go through the cavern the proper way.

Thanks, I was wondering what tk upgrade first but the watercan sounds like it would be the better one, I'll keep a eye on on bdays as well, I was trying get seb to be my dance partner at the event but he was for having none of it an no one else wanted me either

Are there any tricks to the energy with the mine? Apart from food, it seems a lot of energy is wasted just trying to find the ladders to the next level an I need level 40 for one of my quests

I think if the TV tells you it's a good luck day, it'll be easier to find the ladders.

I also use bombs to clear loads of rocks quickly and build stone staircases where I can or buy them using jade from the desert once that's unlocked.

Also you may already know this but you don't need to do it in one day so if you aim just for 5 levels a day or something then you can use the lift to start where you left off next time

I’ve played 4 save files for 100s of hours and only ever found 1 ancient fruit seed (and it was at the beginning so I didn’t realise what it was and sold it ) last night after putting over a 1000 fruits through the seed maker I got 1 but I need to find the artifact to give to Gunther and it’s doing my head in!

Also, how do people catch the legendary fish that are really hard?

I’m excited! I’ve put off picking the game up again since he announced the update
I have it on both switch and PC but I don’t think I can wait for that the switch version as I’ll get fomo!

as for mods, I think I just got mine from nexus mods! Not sure about gamepass but it was fairly easy on steam - I’d check any download instructions etc. I don’t think any are harmful but it is quite easy to remove them from what I recall

I've been the same, haven't really wanted to play the game because I didn't want to get into it only for it to update as I want to start again with maybe one of the new farms being released

I got lucky with sebastian he waters the crops an feeds the animals most of my days, even though I've silos an sprinklers now he still does but it was helpful in the beginning
